Without a doubt, the biggest declaration of love by Fox Mulder in 11 seasons that was cut from the show.

“I can’t imagine my life without you.”

I mean, who says this about their co-worker of one year?

Scully reaches to his arm, grabbing at it gently.

When you add this moment to Rain King and Alpha- they really were angling for a mood this season... Scully’s feelings for Mulder.

X-FILES PILOT, DRAFT SCRIPT- SCULLY SLEEPS IN MULDER’S BEDROOM

After Young Dana Katherine Scully drops her robe, she emphatically tells Mulder she is “not sleeping” in her room tonight... she’s sleeping in Mulder’s.

This was changed in later revisions.

Sometime later, the phone rings and believing that it is her boyfriend Ethan, Scully tells Mulder “I’m not here.”

Mulder was supposed to put his arms around Scully from behind and they wrestle for a while over the ice cream.

Mulder sure does spend a lot of time in this episode straddling Scully from behind.
