It's expensive for a reason, it's a small business that hand dyes everything as you order it, but holy Hell. I'll probably end up buying some and then just staring at it XD In the Stash it goes

I found the most beautiful yarn store ever that has Pride Yarn but it's so...so expensive...

I did set out this year to only do stash-busting knitting projects to clear out my yarn stash, and I have in fact completed one such project!

… I also bought yarn and a pattern for a baby sweater for a friend who is expecting, despite having yarn in my stash I could have used (but it wasn’t exactly right for what I wanted for this friend), as well as buying yarn to make a hooded scarf for Grace (but she loves it!), and then yarn to make a similar hooded scarf for my mom (but I never knit her anything, she always knits beautiful stuff for the girls and me and it will be lovely to be able to gift her something I have made for a change), and I just barely ordered four skeins of yarn to knit two shawls/scarves for myself (but they’re knitting projects to accompany my writing projects and they have to match my writing projects, I can’t just do any old knitting project along with these stories, what do you take me for, and besides, two of those skeins ARE to go with yarn I already have on hand so that’s practically a stash-busting project anyway).

I, uh, might have a little bit of a problem.

Sometimes the universe bends itself in such a way that my crochet math won't math right no matter what I do or how many times I start over. Like, I intuitively know its (x) amount of stitches. But I can't get it to work unless it's (x+1) stitches. So I'm like alright. I write it down, KNOWING it's wrong, but that's a problem for future me.

So I didn't sleep as well today, but I also didn't walk as much as I usually do 😅

Bf stayed the night and he'd made tea for when I got home. I really appreciated it, even tho he's not that good at brewing tea yet lol

He left before I woke up, but we're currently talking on the phone, while I crochet on my blanket 🧶💪

I'm almost out of sock yarn to use for the blanket, which I guess means I should knit more socks 🙃

A friend of mine also stopped by today, she had bought a notebook for me

It's really pretty and I can't wait to use it😍

I have another shift tonight, I really hope I survive it🤞

Sometimes, ya just gotta make do with what you have

I decided I wanted to give bobbin lace a try but didn't want to invest a ton of money in case I didn't like it so here has been my solution. I've drawn all the patterns by hand on regular notebook paper, and am pinning into my laptop case. The only money I've spent was on one pack of pencils for $1 (which I'll use anyway), an enormous spool of yarn $5 (bought at a thrift shop), and one pack of pins $6 (which I'll also use anyway).

I'm enjoying it so far, but still undecided if I want to spend more money on it. Real bobbins and a pillow would be soooo helpful though. But its been encouraging how much I've been able to learn already with just these materials!
