ngl, preferred the old cover, felt more early 2000s-ish, which is what the IF feels like, old MTV reality shows, the glow effect of the new cover makes it harder to look at (this is just my personal opinion). Also, can you explain the new stats a bit more? Like Born Star, Approachable vs Aloof, and Castmate vs Competitor

Also sad that playful is no longer a stat, I loved playing a playful mc 😂

haaa that's fair! I personally hated the old cover and wanted it more modern so it's funny that our opinions are direct opposites of each other lolol

so to avoid any misconceptions: the old personality stats are still there, they're just insivible so you'll still get playful flavor text and playful options. nothing has changed aside from the fact that you can't see them (they're not important enough to take up space in the stat page imo because they don't change the story in a huge meaningful way aside from mc having a different personality) (edit: upon reflection this is a lie they do change it lol but not often/big enough to be a stat!!)

now for the new stats they DO change the story pretty meaningfully so I wanted them to be visible because they are pretty important. They were originally going to be invisible choices but it didn't add a lot of flexibility to what I want to do in the future.

Approachable/Aloof has to do with how approachable/accessible you are as a celebrity to fans. Whether you give them the time or day or treat them like the bottom of your shoe lol

Born Star is how well MC navigates the public + fame based on the choices they make/their personality.

(It can be as simple as leaning into a villain edit the whole show and then suddenly trying to gain sympathy in an interview. it's a bad move because it doesn't work. that's not the perception the public has of you. you lose points because you don't know what you're doing when it comes to swaying the public. on the other hand, if you lean into your villain side and go that way, it'll work and you gain points.)(this is not an actual example)(essentially being mindful of the choices you make that's all)

(That stat won't be moving a lot until the latter half of the story.)

Castmate/Competitor is about whether MC sees the cast as rivals to take down or sees them as an opportunity to make friends and branch out/make platonic relationships outside of their band. This one is important. I won't say why but it is.
