silas  had  a  lot  to  learn  about  the  other  godlings  in  camp  &  while  his  approach  might  not  be  the  most  subtle  in  existence  (silas  never  had  been  subtle  in  his  entire  life),  there  was  no  malice  in  his  actions  -  though  maybe  a  thin  layer  of  judgement  that  protrude  when  he  asked  questions.  he  was  a  strong  believer  when  it  came  to  using  the  might  you've  got.  all  of  it.  blessed  with  strength,  one  shouldn't  be  watching  from  afar.  get  in,  get  your  hands  dirty.  use  what  god-given  powers  you've  got  to  the  fullest.  though  he'd  never  tell  another  fighter  what  they  had  to  do  -  not  unless  they  asked.  didn't  mean  he  couldn't  judge  -  in  silence. 

  "few  reasons,  but  ye.  that  an'  a  lack  of  weaponry,  i  guess.  makes  you�� wonder,  is  all."  it  was  ..  not  an  insult  per  se,  he  was  curious.  though  he  should've  known  how  it  came  across.  not  that  he  minded  stepping  on  toes.  much.  although  the  description  he  had  for  himself  brought  a  little  smile  to  his  lips.  okay  okay,  not  what  he  said.  but  he'd  implied  that,  hadn't  he?

  caught  a  little  by  surprise,  he  found  himself  quite  literally  ...thrown.  okay,  okay,  fine  -  maybe  he  should've  chosen  his  words  better.  with  a  little  mid-air  roll,  he  landed  on  his  feet,  looking  back  at  the  son  of  zeus  with  a  very  distinct  grin  on  his  face.  so  he  was  strong.  that  just  ...  made  him  even  more  curious  why  he  chose  not  to  join  the  fight  with  it,  bury  his  fists  in  an  enemy's  face.  wasn't  it  dissatisfying?  just  ..  watching  from  afar,  not  feeling  the  damage  you've  done?  "impressive."  if  the  other  had  hoped  for  silas  to  be  shaken  by  the  display,  he'd  find  only  excitement  on  the  older  man's  face.

  "sorry,  manners.  i'm  silas.  everybody's  talkin'  about  zeus'  kid,  assumin'  you're  the  famous  romeo."  like  his  horse,  gods,  he  missed  him.  he  wasn't  going  to  bow.  strolling  back  over,  he  held  out  his  hand  regardless  of  what  just  happened.  "didn't  mean  to  insult,  i'm  ..curious  is  all.  promise.  though  that  just  now  was  quite  fun,  nothin'  better  than  a  lil'  fightin'  in  the  morning,  right?" chatty  much?  the  adrenaline  sure  kicked  in.  gods,  he  really  wanted  to  punch  someone  right  now. 

romeo is about to respond with a polie thank you, i did what i had to do when the second half of the sentence falls from the son of kratos' mouth. perhaps it wasn't mean to be an insult, but fuck if it didn't feel like one. the son of kratos always seemed ready for a fight. he exuded a strength about him, a physicality that was imposing. romeo might be shorter, leaner, he might not have the large muscles and imposing stature.

but that didn't mean he wasn't strong.

romeo's smile stays on his face, he shakes his head. green eyes look up to meet silas' eyes. "what makes you think i don't 'get down and dirty'?" he asks, head listing to the side for a moment as he takes a step forward. "because i fly around and call lightning from the sky?" another step, until he's toe to toe, chest to chest with the son of kratos. "i'm much more than just some godling sized taser." he says with a chuckle, a lightly toned laugh.

and then, romeo grabs silas by the front of his shirt, lifts him from the ground, and throws him. the strength of zeus does run through his veins, he just doesn't tap into it as often as, well, others might think he should.
