Okay okay. I'm going to ricochet on my blog a little bit today in the sense that I have like three different things that I want to talk about from three different medias uhm. First thing. The reality is that any new, viral thing from thirty seconds ago spreads easily on TikTok, most especially misinformation. Instagram is another pretty terrible platform just in terms of algorithms and how it's run. I wouldn't expect the prevailing understanding of such-and-such from within one bubble on either to necessarily be well informed.

The concept of "antis" under that name is pretty new, and the concept of "proshippers" is even newer. It has always meant "not antis". Some people have started mutating it to be about specific dark content, but it was always supposed to be about opposing censorship-happy idiots.

I don't find incestuous ships any freakier than other common fantasies people have. Same with adult/minor ships. You're seeing them in a distinct category because they upset you in particular. The feelings are fine, but they don't actually mean that these kinks are darker than all the other ones antis go after.

I know you think someone will be able to interpret "proshippers DNI" as "only the actually bad people should stay away", but that simply isn't what's going to happen. First, DNIs are moronic. Curating your online space means that you need to be the one blocking and avoiding. You can't ask random strangers, possibly your enemies, to do it for you. Second, people are going to have all kinds of opinions on which content is Bad Enough to count even assuming they share a similar definition of 'proshipper'.

This kind of "Well, we all know what the Bad Stuff is" attitude tends to have a chilling effect on a space. People are all paranoid that their kinks might count and self-censor far beyond what the person who said it expected.

Honestly, aside from the constant misuse of the terms, my assumption is that public proshippers on Instagram and TikTok are mostly into extreme things because anyone less extreme wouldn't have the balls to be public. The amount of death and rape threats from antis wouldn't be worth it.

As for my "rules", I don't have any. This is my personal tumblr, but since I leave anon on, people send me lots of things. I post most of them, but I get so many now, that I'll sometimes cut off a topic that has dragged on boringly. I usually don't post the threats I get unless they're funny and I want to mock them.

Re teens in fandom, I got into fandom at 13 on Usenet and set about reading all of the freakiest porn available. I read far worse stuff outside of fandom. I was curious, as many people that age are. It never did me any harm, and it won't do any harm to current 13-year-olds to read dark shit.

The people who get fucked up already have a lack of decent mentors in their offline life, are reading things as self harm, are actually being harmed by the social side of fandom where they've found some creep for horny roleplay, are the subject of a public hate campaign, etc. That sucks, but it's not something I can control or that will get better if we exclude them from fandom.

Teens would be better protected by their parents removing TikTok from their phones than by anything to do with fandom. Its short form makes it ideal for poorly fact-checked soundbites that sound good on the surface but discourage critical thinking or nuanced engagement with a topic. Youtube et al. are also cesspits, but TikTok has elevated predatory algorithms and viral misinformation to a whole new level.

Now back to rewatching miniminuteman. Hahaha.

I would like to see this as a more common topic around every single ABDL space so we have it present and feel comfortable on calling out people who are negligent and go ahead and willingly break those societal implicit norms, kink or not kink. w/o mc - he is a light sleeper like mother let kid sleep in their own room but is paranoid that something may happen (him and luke cause i hc that luke has night terrors often) he does let luke sleep in his bed if luke has a really bad nightmare or is just really shaken up for whatever reason, doesn't snore but does sleep talk and sleep walk usually to lukes room out of habit of checking on baby luke but occsionally just stands in the corner of solomons room mumbling random things almost creepily (need eggs for the cookies and flour for the cupcakes), i've said this many times before but w i n g s c a n b e b l a n k e t mans sleeps with his wings out as a blanket.

w/ mc - pretty much the exact same buuuuuuuuut cuddle positions!! (i promise i'll add this to the brothers version) love love loves it when him or mc lays on the others chest and he will use his wings to hold mc closer to him also loves big spoon little spoon mainly big spoon so he can wrap his wings around mc (cant tell me he doesn't love holding/hugging/cuddling mc with his wings) will use his wings to block out any morning sun light (if they're in the human realm its a good excuse to sleep in 'simeon, i have to get up its late' 'no you dont angel,its still dark' 'no it isn't, your just using your wings block the sun out') he's also pretty cold and enjoys teasing mc with the power of his freezing cold hands like just placing them on their back or something suddenly to feel the jolt of mc jumping at the sudden temperature change

Luke

w/o mc - frequent night terrors like cannot sleep kinda night terrors so simeon has to help him get back to sleep or atleast try ('luke i promise nothing like that will happen to me' 'are you sure'), he is a restless sleeper he is all over his bed at once and he has like a million plushies on his bed if any fall off he's appologising immediantly, he snores but not loudly like average kind of snores, and like simeon but also not like him (like father like son type a stuff) luke sleeps with his wings out (i feel like its a realm wide kind of thing in the celestial realm) but his wings are not quite blanket size for himself so he does have to use a blanket at night

w/ mc - he's mostly the same (he has slapped both mc and simeon on accident due to his restlesness) but he will bring one plushie with him if he does end up going to simeons room to sleep, also best sleep he'll ever get is when mc is with simeon cause he knows that they're safe with simeon but more importantly if he has a nightmare theres the chance that mc will go to comfort him ('m- mc? i had another *sniffle* nightmare' 'it's okay luke 'm here') it'd help especially if his nightmare is about something bad happening to mc and when he'd end up sleeping in simeons bed he'd be inbetween mc and simeon both of his parental figures helping him go back to sleep helps him to not have night mares or terrors

Solomon

w/o mc - when he does sleep he sleep talks like very big sleep talker tends to accidentally say spells in his sleep or summon asmodeus and/or barbatos in his sleep ('solomoooooooon honey i told you t-' 'so you got summoned by the sleeping bastard at midnight too?') he sleeps sprawled out starfish on his stomach probably still in his uniform (he does not give two craps) average sleeper too like not too deep of a sleep but not too light of a sleep, he will wake up when ever he hears simeon running to lukes room or when simeon is doing the creepy corner stand thing though

w/ mc - he sleeps alot more often still sleep talks and occasionally summons asmo or barbs but not as often stops sleeping starfish but still prefers to sleep on his stomach (which leads us to cuddlessssss) feel like he'd prefer to be ontop of mc like head resting on chest but like face down asleep hugging them as they either play with his hair or sleep, mans if also probaby burning hot so no need for a blanket when you have him ('solomon you're too hot' 'i know i am but you're way hotter my little aprentice' 'solomoooooooon you know what i mean')

Sometimes... I wouldn't say completely rage bait, per se. But I certainly don't think that I should censor myself. Generally, what you get on this blog is basically my actual opinion. I might present sometimes in an aggressive or condescending way to get a reaction and get more engagement. I might pull stunts here and there to get people talking. But I'm not lying or being someone I'm not.

Some people like to try to play moderate so that they can change the minds of the other side. But I think this can be a dangerous trap to fall into. If everyone tries to be moderate, then it's easier for the enemy to paint the moderates as extremists. And then the moderates have to move closer to the enemy to appease them so that they can still be moderate.

Let's talk about X-Men for a moment.

Personally, I think that if Magneto didn't exist, then it would be easier for the non-mutants to paint the X-Men as the villains. That might sound weird because Magneto also has the effect of causing a lot of hate towards mutants. But the thing about hate is that it's not necessarily rational anyway. I mean, in real life, you can point to some instances of hate being driven by actual bad people on that side. Islamophobia massively increased after 9/11, for instance...

But there was no reason for the satanic panic. There is no reason for homophobia or transphobia. These groups haven't committed any crimes against humanity. They are hated just for existing and being different.

Magneto doesn't cause mutants to be hated. Mutants were already hated and that's what drove Magneto to his extreme position.

I believe that we should love and accept everyone for who they are. I believe that should be the reasonable moderate position.

But for that to be the moderate position... You need an extreme on the other side.

You need that Magneto who can make the X-Men appear as the compromise.

You need radicals and extremists if you want to be able to shift the overton window on an issue.

Look at Obamacare! This was a middle-of-the-road compromise solution to our healthcare crisis. It was basically a Republican policy, being a repackaged version of Mitt Romney's healthcare plan! But the right-wing propagandists managed to make it out to be some extreme leftist socialist policy somehow!

If there's one thing that looking at politics has taught us, it's that every time you move towards the enemy to appease them, they move to more extreme positions so they can paint you as being radical in your compromise. Then you have to move closer to them to try to appease them again. Appeasement of hate is an endless cycle that drags you ever closer to self-defeat.

Back to syscourse, when I made this blog, I tried playing the moderate. But I was seen as an extremist anyways. So I just decided to play into that. 🤷‍♀️

I used to avoid using the word "sysmed" because I didn't want to offend the bigots. I used to not call sysmeds a hate group or call them bigots for the same reason.

What I realized about my past tactics is...

I was wrong!

I was wrong to play their game. I was wrong to try to appease them or self-censor. I was wrong to not call hate for what it is. I was wrong to avoid offending them.

Because when I tried to be more moderate in syscourse, they still painted me as an extremist. Which meant that they were able to paint my moderate positions as extremism.

In contrast, the more extreme my rhetoric is against sysmeds, the more moderate the less extreme pro-endos will look. The more moderate it appears to be pro-endo, as long as you "aren't like Sophie."

I'm done playing the game of bigots. I'm done playing by rules being set by people who hate me for my existence. I'm playing my own game now, and setting my own rules. 😁

except this. this isn't cute. this isn't edgy. this isn't funny. this isn't proving anything. and i'm going to go over all of my problems with it. i'm sure that a lot of you have seen these posts. now, i want to preface this by saying please don't seek out this person and attack them, i've censored their username and i've blocked them for my own wellbeing and i would suggest you do the same. i genuinely, genuinely cannot stand people that do this. i think it is very important to be critical of something that you love and the fandom space that you are in, and that's totally okay. i personally am critical of MANY of the fandom spaces i am in and don't personally like to engage with them because they make me uncomfortable. and im not talking about like... parody ragebait accounts, ones that dont actually cause anyone harm in any manner or don't mean to and actually address their mistakes and learn from them, you guys are okay part - i'm talking about people who do this because they genuinely cannot stand being around other people in the fandom. because they're sooo much better than everyone else in the fandom and they must spread their catharsis and leave a mark in their wake (/s) you cant use grooming victims as a 'gotcha' moment in an argument. that is disgusting behavior, and it deserves to be called out - coming from a survivor myself. not to mention the incredibly racist implications that this carries, even IF the poster themself is hispanic. that doesn't matter. attributing something as vile as making a minor complicit for the desires of an adult to an entire section of a fandom, and by extension and entire section of an ethnicity of a fandom, does absolutely NOTHING to help actual victims of people in the fandom who have been groomers in the past. because it HAS happened, and that's an actual problem that can be addressed, but this generalization, saying shit like this, is completely disregarding everything that the actual victims went through, and not only that but in fact causing harm and turmoil to actual victims who are in the hispanic community of the fandom. a lot of the people in the TEC fandom are minors themselves, and while that's a whole other personal topic that people can touch up on with any opinion they want to contribute, the fact of the matter is self-shipping/yumeshipping or oc x canon in this fandom is NOT done with malicious intent. i can't speak for everyone, but from what i've seen, the self-shippers, yumeshippers, and oc x canon people are awesome and they are doing no harm by inserting themselves or a created character into a fictional world. so let me just say this now - NONE of you deserve the harrassment and shame that you recieve from some people in this fandom, and while it is uncommon, you have every right to be upset about it and you don't have to explain yourself nor do you owe anything to anyone. keep enjoying media how you want to enjoy media. no one can tell you otherwise. now to address the top post, the most recent one, which reads 'every time an eltingville club blog deletes or stop posting about it or something an angel is born'. this might not seem problematic on a surface level, but there are MULTIPLE reasons that an account could have deleted and at most it's something you should be neutral about unless the account in question was run by someone who was creating a worse environment here. these possibilites include but are not limited to the person running the account being bullied relentlessly into taking down their blog, going through something extremely mentally and emotionally challenging, or possibly even dying and having someone take down their account for them post-mortem.

on one hand, i love the the fandom mostly understands that the brothers are adult men who probably have questionable hygiene and unsavory habits not explicitly shown (like we know oso gambles and smokes but it's off screen and played off as whimsy and funny and cute in the anime itself- less so in the movies), that the have body hair and other "blemishes" bc they're stay-at-home NEETs who do nothing but self sabotage and chase instant satisfaction in every facet possible

on the other hand, if we look at them from an in-world meta perspective, we have to remember they're also actors in an anime. we see them w/out body hair bc to the wide public they need to appear attractive and sexable (not diving into how no body hair as an attractive trait is based in ped0ph1l1a) but it's the same with their addictive habits and why it's not shown explicitly on screen until it's negative (so in the movie, we actually finally see Osomatsu inside a building gambling but it's so clear he hates being there and is just wasting his time and his life).

we've been able to see other characters' dingalings before but theirs are always censored, bc if there were actual known facts about it (pls dont bring up that one Osomatsu-kun ep where Chibita checks bc they're ten yrs old) they'd be less desirable since everyone has a preference. like there are lots left intentionally vague and hidden from us as an audience in a meta way and mbe people know this but dc cus it's more fun to give them individual traits (it is), i just don't see anyone talk about this aspect at all ever!

that being said i really love seeing people's depictions of them with like, facial hair and realistic skin tones and body shapes. i love that the purposeful vagueness of the show does exactly what it's supposed to do and let people's imaginations go wild and creativity flourish, which in turn (meta wise) keeps the show running and in turn keeps the brothers as paid actors and in turn keeps their life miserable bc they're not allowed to grow and be better ppl while the show runs, and this creates a cycle and- well it's just very fun lol i love this show
