Making a personal website
Why do it?
Having a website is a great creative outlet, and gives you way more control over your space than social media. You are in full control of the content you host on your site, and, if you ever need to migrate to a new host for it, you won’t have to worry about losing a bunch of stuff (for the most part)
Make a page that's just a bunch of pictures of wizards! Turn it into an ARG! Use it as a portfolio! Make it dedicated to your OC Verse(s)! The world's your oyster! HTML and CSS may seem like a lot at first but it's honestly not very hard to learn!
You don't need to be an expert to have a good looking website!
Sections:
Where to Host + File Hosting
Actually Making a Website
What to write your code IN
Keeping Your Site Accessible
Preventing Scrapping with a robots.txt
Etiquette and Useful Terms
Where to Host
There are a few places around the net you can find, but for a personal, fully customizable site you’ll want to avoid commercial places like Squarespace. Squarespace is aimed at people who don’t want to make a site from scratch and are specifically looking at something professional for a portfolio or business. You won't have the rights to the code!
Neocities is the biggest name in the indie web space right now, but Nekoweb has gained some attention lately. You can even use both as a mirror of one another, and if you ever need to move hosts, you can download all your files from either of them.
Differences Between Neocities and Nekoweb:
Neocities offers 1 GB of storage
Nekoweb offers 50MB of storage (half of neocities)
Nekoweb does NOT restrict what file types you can host
Neocities restricts file types to non-supporters. Most files are fine, you'll probably only run into issue with video or audio files (but those eat up a lot of space anyway...) Full list here
IMO Neocities is also just more beginner friendly
NOTE: nekoweb has a robots.txt on their server by default, neocities does not but AFAIK new sites will be given a robots.txt for which they can set the allowed/disallowed themselves. There has been some misinfo about this: this is not neocities giving your data to ai, this is really just the default state of the internet, unfortunately. Either way, you can set up a robots.txt yourself to say whatever you want!
Alternate File Hosting
It’s best to host everything you can on the same host as your site, but if you're limited in space or type, you can host it somewhere else.
Make sure to use something dedicated to hosting files, otherwise your links may end up breaking (so don't use discord). I use file garden, which I have liked, though it's slow sometimes. I know others around neocities who have used catbox.moe… but those links always break for me, for some reason.
If you don’t mind hosting on youtube or soundcloud, there are ways you can embed those players onto your site as well!
I host audio and my art gallery on file garden; everything else is directly on my site and it only takes up 2.5% of my 1 GB of space!
Nekoweb and Neocities aren't meant to be used as file hosts, so don't try to use your neocities as "extra storage" for your nekoweb site, or visa versa.
The Actual “Making a Website” Part
For designing your website, I recommend to browse around personal sites on neocities and nekoweb for inspiration before drawing something out. If you don’t want to design a site yourself, there are plenty of templates, including the classic sadgrl.online site generator (and this guide to tweaking it).
Neocities Guides for Absolute Beginners (if you've never used any html, this is a good starting place)
Making a layout from start to finish (if you know what an html tag is, this should be fine for you; it's what I used!)
Making your website responsive (I swear it’s so easy to make your website mobile accessible unless you’re doing something totally crazy with it)
Sadgrls other guides
The Mozilla and W3Schools documentation are useful resources, but may be confusing to you at first. I myself learned basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript ages ago on Khan Academy, but as Khan Academy started using AI at some point, I have no idea how those hold up.
Take it in pieces, you’ll get a hang of it!
Relative Links
You don't need to link your full URL to link an image; you can link files relatively. For example, if I have a page in my main directory, and an image in folder titled "images" within that directory, I can just link it like this: "/images/image.png" You may or may not need the slash in the beginning, depending on your host. For neocities, I typically don't.
But what if you have a page in a folder and want to access a link in the main directory? Just add two dots for each folder you want to move backwards from: "../image.png" (1 folder backwards) "../../image.png" (2 folders backwards)
Avoid using relative links on your "not_found.html" page, because that page displays anytime a user tries to access a page that doesn't exist, and it will attempt to retrieve links from whatever the user typed into the bar. eg, if a user typed in "your-url/folder/page", it will treat relative links as though it is in that folder.
What to Write Your Code IN
If you make a file for all your website files and organize it in the same way as it is on your website host, you can open your html files in your browser offline and preview how they work and function.
Codepen is a great free code editor for html, css, and js specifically, which also allows a live preview of your site.
I've tried Dreamweaver and it's super buggy (and definitely not worth the price). I know some people use Visual Code Studio but I've never tried it myself.
Keeping Your Site Accessible
Many websites on the indie web right now, are unfortunately, accessibility nightmares… But, it’s actually not that hard to make your website more accessible without sacrificing your artistic intent
Semantic tags are tags that don’t have a specified style but help screen readers interpret content. You should also be careful not to use tags for something other than their intended purpose. Here’s a guide to semantic tags.
Alt text can describe elements to screen readers, but for decorative content like dividers, it's unnecessary. To let a screen reader just pass over them, set the alt property to an empty string ("")
Alt text furthermore should be descriptive but concise. Focus on the most important details and meaning/purpose of the image, not all the little details. Descriptions should also be objective, not subjective.
Color Contrast: text with low contrast against the background may be difficult or even impossible for some people to read. You can check color contrast using firefox’s developer tools, or through this website.
Flashing imagery and bright colors should, at the very least, be warned against. There is a way to use Javascript to freeze gifs, but it’s a bit complicated
Many people make their index page list content warnings so people can prepare themselves ahead of time, or turn back if content on the site may be harmful to them.
These are just the major things I’ve run into myself, but I’m still learning how to make my pages more accessible. For more info on things you can do to make your site more accessible check out these resources.
Prevent Scraping with a Robots.txt
This is not a foolproof method, in fact, bad actors will scrap your files anyway. All a “robots.txt” does is politely request that robots don’t scrap your site for anything… It’s up to the programmers to make their robots LISTEN. Here’s an article that has a blocklist for a bunch of the major bots.
I know this may be demoralizing, but unfortunately the only way you can “protect” your files against ai is to never share them. But, ai can never replace the way you feel about your work or the desire other people have to connect with it. AI can only ever produce a stale, easily digestible imitation… Basically, I know it's scary right now, but keep making your stuff. Do what you can to protect it…. But please don’t let ai stop your spirit!
Etiquette and Useful Terms
88x31 buttons were a staple of the old web, so many people make buttons for their site so other people can link to it!
Hotlinking refers to linking a file from someone else’s site to your own. This isn’t a big problem for big websites like tumblr or twitter, but hotlinking a file from someone’s personal site uses THEIR bandwidth anytime someone loads YOUR site and is frowned upon. This is only applicable to FILES on someone’s page, just linking to their page is fine!
i had an example but tumblr thought it was actual code...
Most browsers allow you to look at the source code for a website by right clicking and choosing "view source". This is a great way to learn how people do certain things... but they may not take kindly if you copy their code. Use it as a guide; don't copy huge chunks of code unless they have said it's okay to.
A webring is a collection of websites with some shared trait/topic that link to each other so that it forms a ring (i.e: Website 1 <--> Website 2 <--> Website 3 <--> Website 1). Web listings and web cliques are similar concepts; it’s basically like joining a club.
An RSS feed is basically like a “following” tab…but for the whole internet (well…any site that has an RSS feed). That way, people who don’t have a neocities or nekoweb (or other) account can get updated whenever your site does. To subscribe to an RSS feed, you’ll need a feed reader, which you can find as an extension for whatever browser you use. As for making a RSS feed, here’s a simple guide.
Javascript’s pretty complicated and I just look up what I want to know and learn from there so I'm not confident to give you help. But, I had to learn that scripts are very picky about where you declare them. If they aren't working, try moving them around.
I'm not an expert, so apologies if I've said anything wrong/confusing. These are resources I found useful or WISH I had when I started. Happy coding!

How Not To Do A Podcast
Don't have a web site: You don't really need one is this day and age. People find your podcast on Spotify, or on Apple Podcasts, or on YouTube. If you put your episodes up on YouTube, don't need hosting or a domain or a home page!
Don't link to the RSS Feed: If you do have a web site, you can just not bother with a public RSS feed. People on Apple podcasts get your episodes from Apple. If you want to post the episodes to your Web site, just embed the mp3a in blog posts! Don't give the hoi polloi access to the RSS feed, or they might steal your content, or worse, drive up hosting costs by downloading all the mp3s at once!
Don't bother with show notes: Show notes limit your reach. They don't show up the same on YouTube and Spotify, and you can't embed images in a pinned comment. Even worse, show notes lead people away from your podcast or the app. Alternatively, treat show notes as required reading. If you must have them, this is the way to get the most out of your show notes. Refer to the show notes all the time, and tell our audience to just read or listen to the linked stuff. Don't bother excerpting or paraphrasing things from elsewhere on the Internet. People are on a PC, they can click on links! In the show notes, don't bother adding context either. When your listeners have listened to the episode, they will know what the links mean.
Talk about your editing process and audio setup: Did you just buy a new mic? Are you recording on your laptop microphone in a hotel room? Don't just apologise for the audio quality, tell your listeners that normally you would record on the same hardware that NPR uses for This American Life. Talk about how you bought a new Mac Studio Ultra with 128 GB of RAM for editing the pauses out, and that time you had to interrupt the interview because your guest opened the door to accept a package delivery.
Keep introductions to a minimum: Your listeners have listened to the previous 500 episodes in chronological order, so they know what your podcast is about and who is hosting it. Don't start your podcast episodes with the name of the podcast, or introductions where every host says "Hello, I am Alice" "And I am Bob. This is the Alice and Bob send cryptic messages podcast. Today we're going to discuss PGP." This stuff is lame. Just say "Hi, here we are again, how has your last week been?" or "We're back! Sooo..."
If you really have to introduce multiple speakers, just have one host name everybody. Instead of repeating what the podcast is and who is doing it every time, start the episode with frequently updated information like upcoming meet-ups, listener feedback about the episode before last, how to reach you on twitter, your new mastodon instance, and current Patreon goals.
Use .mp3, .aac, or .wma: As long as the bit rate is high enough, people won't notice. Your goal is to reach as many people as possible, so an old file format like WMA is the best. For audiophiles, also have a feed in FLAC format. In the past, 250MB episodes would have been annoying, but everybody listens on YouTube and Spotify anyway (they do the transcoding for you). If they don't, maybe the 250MB per hour will make them reconsider.
Episodes should least at least 80 minutes long: Sometimes time flies, sometimes you need a lot of time to get to the point. People love to listen to the Joe Rogan Experience, which is sometimes 3 hours long. If your guests have more to say, don't record a bonus episode, just ask yourself: What would Rogan do?
Chapter marks work against you: Chapter marks let listeners skip past the ads, but they also let them skip past the part where you announce the next listener meet-up, the new URL of the t-shirt store, and ways to contact you. It is of vital importance that in five years, people who listen to your podcast will be familiarised with the old twitter handle you used to have, the old coupon code for RAID: Shadow Legends that doesn't work any more, and the listener meet-up in downtown Mariupol.
Frequently upgrade your web site: Like I said, it's usually not worth having a web site. But if you do, you need to
keep it fresh.
To do this, you should frequently update the URL of your home page, the URLs of blog posts where users can listen to individual episodes in their browser, your commenting system, your domain name, and the character encoding of your transcripts.
Listeners love banter and personality: Don't read from a script, because that sounds lame and stilted. Don't even have an agenda or written notes. If you want to talk something out, do it live on air. If you talk to a co-host or a guest about the topic or the ground rules for the episode, then do that live on air, too. If you go off topic, or if you have to spend a minute googling something during an episode, if your dog barks, a host goes on a tangent or if there is a package delivery at the door, just say "we'll edit that part out" and then leave the whole thing in, or edit but leave in the bit where you say "we'll edit it out in post". That joke never gets old. Asking your co-hosts about the topic of today's episode gives your podcast personality, rich texture, and entertainment value. The key is to be your raw, unfiltered self. Anybody can read from a script, but only you can answer the door for an Amazon package.
Listeners love drama: If somebody sends you a mean tweet, don't ignore it and move on. Use it! Read out all the mean tweets on your podcast. Make them a regular feature. Ask your listeners whether they agree! They will shower you with sympathy and engagement. If you don't have enough twitter drama to go on, you can invite guests for drama: Get people from twitter onto your podcast. I know, it sounds like a threat when you have twitter beef with somebody and ask them onto your show where you can edit them and you have an audience that's on your side, but you're reasonable here. You can say "twitter is such a terrible format for this, let's hash it out somewhere more appropriate". In the best case, you win the twitter argument without actually having to record the episode. You can just say in your podcast they didn't want to debate you.
Don't record episode 0 or -1: Back in 2005, it was customary to record an "episode zero" as the first thing in your RSS feed. There was even a cool service (now defunct) that aggregated all every "episode zero" from feeds into a feed of upcoming podcasts. These days, you record a trailer for your podcast and that is inserted into feeds of other podcasts at Wondery, Tortoise Media, and Serial Productions. It's passé to have a 15 minute introduction to an upcoming podcast.
Similarly, it used to be customary to record one or more "negative" episodes where you just check out your recording equipment and get used to the process, figure out which segments and interview formats work. You're a professional though. You don't need to get used to hearing your own voice.
You can go the extra mile and scrub everything but the latest 5 episodes from the feed.

So I know it's possible to code in audio for podfic - the audio file being uploaded onto a separate site and then linked within the ao3 page. But I'm wondering if you know if an author can link Spotify?
What I want is to include copyright/licensed songs within a fic. Imagine listening to "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson during a heist scene.
You can! Spotify has a feature for this purpose as shown below.
After you copied the embed code, simply paste it into your work. However, Spotify might not be ideal here. Listening to tracks though it beyond a preview requires opening Spotify and having a Spotify account. I believe that embedding the song though YouTube could make it more versatile and accessible as long as the video doesn't restrict external play.
To embed a song through YouTube do as shown below and paste the code into your work.
There are ways to customize YouTube embeds (beyond the built-in start time feature as shown above in blue). I suggest using this tool to do so.

unsurprisingly, whatever hack hit Lydia's youtube channel also fucked the queued posts :(
fortunately i have v good friends who make delicious food for thanksgiving and are up-to-date on hacks that affect projects that I'm working on and send me a link to a dropbox account with all the vids saved to it, and that has a link to dailymotion which should work with tumblr's video embed code so the posts should be fine once I replace all the urls
here are the blogs if you want to follow now, nothing is going to be posted there at least until 2025 but you can go ahead and follow now. realtime lbd (just going to be the vids), realtime lbd socmed (will have the tweets and tumblr posts)
so here's the updated to-do list:
keep screenshotting tweets and hope they don't delete the accounts before I'm done
group the tweets by day
schedule like 400 posts that are just the tweets from each day. Probably less because I don't think there are tweets from literally every day but I haven't gotten to Lydia yet
Update all the Lydia vids with the dailymotion links
pick profile and header pics for both blogs
make and schedule some posts advertising that this is going to be a thing and put them in the LBD and P&P tags
maybe some countdown posts too? idk
message Hank Green to see if he'll post about it because obviously there's audience overlap
add image descriptions to all the tweets
think about the fact that everyone is making a self portrait of all times with everything they do so that these two blogs are going to be a self portrait of me even tho i'm literally reposting other people's work and if someone else posted the same vids and tweets then they'd pick different ones and it would come out differently
(optional) watch the Colin Firth version and the very pink 2003 modern AU version because I just got those on dvd
(optional) rewatch the Keira Knightly version
(optional) watch Nothing Much To Do, a vlog version of Much Ado About Nothing, which I only found out about recently
???
profit
sit back and enjoy march 2025-2027 as the queues for both blogs run and I don't have to do anything else because they're fully set up
#lbd#sometimes I think 'why am i doing this?' but it's nice to have a project and i am excited to watch it in real time#and I like P&P

Experimenting with creating widgets for Notion
Sunday 15th October 2023
As I play around on Notion a lot these days than I have in my entire life, I wondered about the widgets you can embed to your pages.
And then I thought “how are they made?” obviously by coding but exactly how? It’s questions like these that lead me into rabbit holes that causes my browser to have 20+ tabs open.
No article I could find within the 20 mins I started researching could tell me straightforward how to do it, so I experimented… with ChatGPT. I was like “bro figure this out for me cause everyone else is lacking” and the bot was like “don’t worry, I got you bro”. It failed miserably so I was left to my own brain to figure out.
And I did it. I made a quick quotes generator that when you click a new generator pops up. It works fine, as you can see in the video. Shame I will have to I learn how to do this from absolute scratch with very very little resources out there to help. Reinventing the wheel kind of moment, because I want to build more complex widgets for my pages on Notion.
Good luck to me 🙋🏾♀️🎀

Why does YouTube even allow the option to embed videos if none of them are allowed to play anymore unless you go to YouTube? Why do sites and apps still have the code to pointlessly embed videos nobody can watch because they have to go to YouTube? Genuinely, who cares enough to follow a link to another website for an embedded video? At that point once you see that message you no longer care about what the video was. You hope that video and everyone who made it dies. You name drop that video in your declaration of war on the human race when you instigate WW3.

PortalFan312 Archives
Ok so I found a portal/source ARG by the name of "PortalFan312 Archives" it's currently ongoing and every post I make in their comments about it gets deleted by either them or youtube so I'm putting my current analysis and notes here with a link to the channel at the end.
Background info: Austin/PortalFan312 found a teleport glitch in the original Portal that took him to a room. This spawned an investigation to where the room ended up speaking to him, through text then audio, rooms can have subrooms, rooms can be generated using a command called "roomgenerate" with an optional word at the end to control the type of room generated. So far works in Portal and Half-Life 2: Episode 2. Room is malicious.
Core Adventures 1:
There's a Google Drive link in the last few frames. Here's said link as it's quite long: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10JiTtW2Ka2L8C0CVcPAKS8yetRqmxu2L Inside there's two files, TOMTBESTFRIEND.wav (I believe the second T was supposed to be a Y) and "you.jpg" TOMTBESTFRIEND.wav is a morse code message, translating into "MY BEST FRIEND AUSTIN. IF YOU SEE THIS. ALL OF YOUR OTHER FRIENDS ARE NOT REAL. IM YOUR ONLY FRIEND, YOUR ONLY FRIEND" you.jpg is a screenshot of a reddit account, presumably Austin's here. (the link: https://www.reddit.com/user/Austin_Martin2) On it is a single post with the title text being "V0hZIERJRCBUSEVZIExFQVZFIE1F", a message encoded in base64 that when decoded reads "WHY DID THEY LEAVE ME" The link is to a fandom portal site (https://latrop.fandom.com/wiki/AmFjb2IsIEpBQ09CLCBKQUNPQj8%3D) There's various things here, all base64, let's start with the title.
The title reads as "AmFjb2IsIEpBQ09CLCBKQUNPQj8=". Which, when decoded, reads as "Jacob, JACOB, JACOB?" (Though when decoding the message, the J in the fist Jacob comes out as unreadable, likely an error in encoding)
Then, the body. The body is the following: "SmFjb2IgbXkgZGVhciBmcmllbmQuIEl0IGFwcGVhcnMgdGhhdCB5b3Ugd2VyZSBpbiB0b28gZGVlcCB0byB0dXJuIGJhY2sgbXkgRnJpZW5kLiBhbmQgVGhhdCdzIHdoeSB5b3Ugd2VyZSBub3QgU3VwcG9zZWQgdG8gYmUgaGVyZS4gSW0gcHJldHR5IHN1cmUgeW91ciBsaXR0bGUgQm95ZnJpZWQgTWlzc2VzIHlvdSBvaCBzbyBkZWFybHkhIA==" with the last = being a link to a second page. The body of the first page is decoded to "Jacob my dear friend. It appears that you were in too deep to turn back my Friend. and That's why you were not Supposed to be here. Im pretty sure your little Boyfrie[n]d Misses you oh so dearly!" Yes, you read that right, either the monster of this ARG is making jokes at the expense of Austin and Jacob or they actually were partners (this is continued in the box embed to the side where the characters and misc info is put).
The character box of this page is the following:
"amFjb2I=
Relatives QXVzdGluIChQYXJ0bmVyKQpNaWtlIChCcm90aGVyKQpNaXRjaGVsbGUgKE1vdGhlcikK
Occupation QkVJTkcgREVBRCwgSEFIQQ==
Biographical information
Date of birth: October 6th 1997
Date of death: October 6th 2012
Place of death: d2hpdGUgZm9yZXN0
Physical description
Species WU9VIE1PTlNURVI="
Now, that's a lot of base64, but it all translates out to:
"jacob
Relatives Austin (Partner) Mike (Brother) Mitchelle (Mother)
Occupation BEING DEAD, HAHA
Biographical information
Date of birth: October 6th 1997
Date of death: October 6th 2012
Place of death: white forest
Physical description
Species YOU MONSTER"
That's all for the first page. The second page is also chock-full of base64. Let's start with the title again.
The title of the second page reads as "QXV0dW1u" which is decoded into "Autumn".
As for the body, it reads as the following: "T2guIERlYXJlc3QgQXV0bW4uLi4gV2h5IGRpZCB5b3UgbGVhdmUgeW91ciBicm90aGVyIGFsb25lIG15IGZyaWVuZD8gV2VyZSB5b3UgU2NhcmVkIG9mIGhpcyBJbnNhbmUgUmFtYmxpbmdzPyBJIERvbid0IEJsYW1lIHlvdQ==" (this time with no hidden links) which, when decoded, reads as "Oh. Dearest Autmn… Why did you leave your brother alone my friend? Were you Scared of his Insane Ramblings? I Don't Blame you"
As for the character info, the top is the same as the page name, being "QXV0dW1u" which we know to be "Autumn"
The rest of the character info box reads like this:
"Relatives: QXVzdGluIChCcm90aGVyKQ==
Biographical information
Place of birth: April 8th 1999
Date of death: October 6th 2013
Place of death: d2hpdGUgZm9yZXN0"
Not as much base64 as Jacob's page, so it'll be easier to decode. here's how the rest of it reads decoded:
"Relatives: Austin (Brother)
Biographical information
Place of birth: April 9th 1999
Date of death: October 6th 2013
Place of death: white forest"
Note that how instead of "date of birth" it reads "place of birth". While this could be insignificant and just a minor error, it could be something big.
Also note that how both Jacob and Autumn died exactly one year apart, on Jacob's 15th and 16th birthdays respectively, as well as at the same "white forest" location. This combined with the fact that HL2:E2 also has the roomgenerate command (as shown in the video in this google drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1--Lzmx9qKBLGaWo-SFzVNEpcfttKsjyN) this could be a reference to the White Forest Bunker in episode two, though we don't know enough to confirm this yet. Now do note that name of the folder I just provided in this paragraph is base64, it translates into "PROBLEM"
Now, one last thing. The folder which this video reveals has a name encoded in base64 as well, reading as "VGltZT8gTXIgTWFydGluLiBJcyBpdCByZWFsbHkgdGhhdCBUaW1lIEFnYWluPw==-20240305T072813Z-001" before decoding (I do not know what the numbers mean, they just come out as gibberish, but it could be some sort of code for another google drive, I'll update after finishing my current thesis here) but when decoded, the actual base64 reads as "Time? Mr Martin. Is it really that Time Again?"
how to get hl2 weapons in Portal:
The google drive link leads to a folder with a video of somebody discovering the room in half life 2. The tab's text UFJPQkxFTQ== is PROBLEM encoded in Base64.
HL2E2 room changes the game into either MMod or something similar.
Room generated using the roomgenerate command found in the "INVESTIGATION" video

I watched this documentary last night, it's five years old but still relevant. I watched the German version that aired on mainstream public tv in Germany in 2018, but apparently there is a professionally made English version that has been uploaded to youtube, which is nice.
It's about how Microsoft has a practical computer OS monopoly, and how that impacts the public sector in Europe specifically. In europe practically all government computers run Windows, and the negative effects of that. How is the data of citizens protected when the code for Windows is closed-source and can't be openly vetted? Especially when US government agencies like NSA has hidden backdoors into Windows. Backdoorss that are also easily abused by other actors, as the then recent WannaCry ransomware incident proves.
We can't tell because transparency is put out of effect when governments run proprietary closed source and Microsoft can claim "trade secrets" to keep the terms of their contracts with governments hidden. And Microsoft has used their monopolistic powers to embed itself into governments and has heavy lobbying for their products to be used. EU government procurement laws are basically non-existent when it comes to operating systems for government computers, Microsoft is the only candidate considered including by the European commission. And when someone doesn't choose Windows, like how Munich choose to use Linux for their computers in the Limux project, Microsoft used lobbying tactics and political corruption to force them to switch back to Windows.
And it is largely things I already knew, but it's nice to see a mainstream documentary talk about these issues. It's a well-made film, it gives an accessible explanation of the difference between proprietary software and open source, why the Microsoft monopoly is a problem and creates corruption, and that alternatives like Linux and Libreoffice exist. It's nothing radical, but like it's a genuine problem that needs to be discussed more.
