About your big brother ghost au, having the floating spector of shen yuan constantly influencing shen jiu would make him worse actually, at least to talk to. Because he doesn’t just have access to the scholar’s silver tongue, he also has the largest repertoire of the strangest, most acrid insults never before said by a man. Curtesy of Shen Yuan, the world’s most okayest babysitter.

(I also desperately wish to hear more of your thoughts on this au!!! I love it!)

I think Shen Jiu didn't really learn hardcore insults until he became a peak lord in canon, because who needs a silver tongue when you can throw hands?

In this AU, Shen Yuan teaches him how to murder with words. Good job SY <3

Unfortunately, most NPCs cannot grasp the glories of SYs usual insults, so he has to use concepts more native to this world. Tragic because you KNOW he wanted to start this interaction with "listen here you six piece chicken mcnobody"
