So that's what I've been working on and what I've had stuck in my head for moooonths (or I should say years lmao):

These four idiots

I think I could post artworks with them here too, cuz why not? I have plenty of them :D

Anyway, I guess I could make it an introduction post, so yeah, behold:

It started as a university AU for Inscryption, but ended up it's own story. Still, some things remained, but the setting, the plot (which I won't tell for now) and the characters have changed pretty much.

Few words abt setting:

University with a funny reputation, because at the beginning it was "assaulted by evil" (ghosts, poltergeists, anything your mind could come up with). To this day some weird, but mostly harmless stuff may happen from time to time.

Also in this story spirits, demons, creatures and all others live alongside humans, but most humans have no idea about it. Mythology (and religion at some point) is humans' way to explain their interactions with these creatures. So, there're just creatures, with no belonging to a particular mythology, as they are all the same (and different) all over the world and carry whatever name they like.

Agnia

She began as Grimora. Now, as a character she's very chill and quite lazy and does whatever her heart desires. "Exam next day? Fuck it, I have new season of my favorite series coming out and I want my beauty sleep. I'll make a potion to cheat." Also yeah, she's a witch and she was raised alongside different creatures. She's extremely passionate about literature and poems and loves witchcraft with all her heart.

Jennifer (AKA J for Poe and Jenny for Agnia)

Her prototype was the Archivist (at some point she could also be Magnificus lol). She's the perfect student��, who does everything beautifully and magically on time. She's hard-working, but somehow she manages to hang out with Agnia and find some time to sleep. Also she's pretty strict and demanding when it comes to Poe (he's her younger brother), still, she's caring and generous.

Leshy

His prototype was, well, Leshy. He is a forest spirit, who came to the university with fury (and personal reasons), but stayed out of interest. He's extremely optimistic, chill-going and extroverted. He's curious about the world around him (mostly humanitarian sciences), but lacks discipline and consistency (he's also irresponsible, forgetful and reckless in general). He loves trolling and pranking people.

Poe

He was p03. He is an ambitious, overly competitive perfectionist. He is the top student™ with fourth-degree burns from burnout. He's completely irresponsible, awfully forgetful and his mind is a mess that works on its own rules. He lacks awareness of his own limits and pushes himself even further. He may cheat to stay on top (promising himself he'll study the topic for himself afterwards, when he has time) and beats himself up for not being enough if he fails somewhere. J's perfection pisses him off. Oh, and he's a robot (Jennifer is not).

Other notes:

Leshy and Poe are roommates

Jennifer also lives in the dorms

Poe has a prosthetic left forearm because of p03, but this part of the design remained for plot purposes

Leshy is a shapeshifter and can create illusions, because that's what leshies can do in Slavic mythology. You're gonna see several types of his usual appearance

Also yes, even though I stated creatures do not belong to any of mythologies, Leshy's name suggestion was done by a person (not real, it's just a lore piece) who studied Slavic mythology and noted Leshy's similarities with these spirits

And Leshy was like "Yup, sure, why not. I like the name, it's mine now"

So when it comes to Leshy, there are often many similarities to actual leshies from the myths. And since in our case mythologies are just ways of people describing their life with creatures side by side, Leshy can be considered as an actual leshy because of a huge list of similarities

POE CARES ABOUT HIS FRIENDS AND DOESN'T MANIPULATE PEOPLE, he's egocentric, and in our case that means he cares a huge lot about how everyone perceives him and who he is (and the need and desire to be the center of attention is also here, fueled with the need to feel enough)

Although I plan to keep Leshy and Poe's diagnoses in brackets for now, cuz I'm not a specialist and I may portray these things wrong

J and Agnia may also be neurodivergent, but idk about them

I would love any questions about them. Asks are open, and I think it would be funny to answer both as an author and as one of the characters.

Hello there! I can see that you are very much a good writer and Apologies if im asking for something weird, but could you write a small PO3 fic? I.. Sorta want it to have an autistic reader and maybe having the both of them trying to make some cards, just wholesome stuff for the soul

Not weird in the slightest! I haven't written anything directly for P03 yet and I figured I'd get a request for him eventually.

I'm a little worried this may read like. Extremely platonic, leaning familial, because it's sort of maybe a sequel to Save State, so.. sorry if that's not what you wanted. In my head they're connected.

In which P03 maybe just a little needs your help

"Aaaaalright, that should do it," You wiped your forehead and stepped back to admire your handiwork. Before you, the Inspector tilted his head from one side to the other, happy to be put together once more. "How's it feel?"

"A little loose..." He muttered.

"You've been saying that for 20 minutes, the bolts aren't getting any tighter." You huffed at him, ever the perfectionist.

You'd been in P03's factory for quiet some time now, as he has busy with Scrybe things, you decided to busy yourself with the retrieval and repair of his underlings from the data dump pit he'd been dropping bots into.

Some of them were more grateful than others, but you didn't mind the work. So long as they were whole again, you could keep tightening that bolt to infinity.

"Alright, I'll have another look." You motioned for the Inspector to lean forward to give you access to his neck, when a loud crash in the next room over startled you.

"What was that??" The inspector shot up with wide eyes. You have him a reassuring pat and slowly went to go check the main room.

P03 was shuffling though a deck of cards, his custom card maker from his own take over sat on the table next to him, a little dented, and a lot sparky. He looked irritated.

"P03? What was that?" You asked tentatively. He glanced at you.

"What was what?" He spoke fast, placing his new cards face down.

"The crash?"

He looked at you like you were insane, but there was no way he didn't hear it. It came from this room.

"....I hit the card maker." He finally huffed, "It was jamming, so I hit it." As if to show what he did, P03 knocked his claw gently against the dent in the card maker. Small jolts of lighting shot between it and him.

"Oh..." You approached, looking over the machine. It'd seen much better days, and probably wouldn't see too many more. "Want me to take a look?"

He returned to his cards, "Sure. Knock yourself out."

You were use to his cold remarks. He went though a lot, and was a little salty how quickly his take over had ended. Just be patient, you'd thought, he'll come around eventually.

With a delicate hand you began dismantling P03's card customizer, trying running over a check of what parts seemed most damaged, replaceable, repairable, and of course, why the single to the printer would jam.

Out of the corner of your eye you could see P03 shuffling new cards, the custom ones he'd just made, along with a few automated ones from his CPU scanner.

The two of you worked in quiet next to one another, the ambient cold metal sounds of the factory at work behind your every movement.

It was calming, being a working part of a machine. Every cog has it's place and necessity. The whole thing would break without ever piece. No matter how you worked or how weird your function, you were a part of the machine. Felt comforting, in a weird way, to be part of the system.

"Right." You said in a sigh, setting the customization machine back up as you screwed the back on, "That should do it, I think."

"Did you test it?" P03 put his own cards down and looked over the machine.

"I can, if you're alright with that?"

P03 shrugged, "Gotta make sure it works. Just don't make something OP, alright?"

You nodded and turned the machine to face you. It'd been a while sense you made a card. You missed it, really.

Trying not to take too much time you shuffled though the, granted limited, options and created a... hopefully balanced enough card, and sent it to print.

P03 reached to catch it fresh from the printer, bringing it to his monitor to see, "Wow. Wow seriously??" He snickered, a small laugh bubbling though him. You weren't sure if he was making fun of the cards stat line or if he just found the name funny.

Either way, his chortles were contagious. You found yourself stifling a giggle as you leaned to look, "What? What's funny?"

"This! The little character you made on it," He chuckled, "Oh we have to make more of these! Right now."

As P03 grabbed the machine and pulled it to him to print more of your silly little cards, still snickering quietly to himself, you found that hope of recovery bubble up again. The hope that he'd come around, eventually.

You'd just have to be patient.

And maybe make more funny looking cards.

Commander Tartar: yeah, as someone who was an inscryption fan at launch i see the vibes between him and p03, 9/10 Mr Grizz: Same as Tartar. But the fact he isn’t a white twink makes it both worse and better. (actual line from the wikia  Most humanizations of Mr. Grizz depict him as a fat, hairy, dark-skinned older man. You might even call his trope the Brown Bear Humanization.) 9/10

Off The Hook: what, no, what did they do to deserve to be put in the same list as Sander Cohen and The Oncler

If Ashfur and Ferncloud were Particians like sandstorm (idk how) would Thunderclan be held in envy or contempt with how much Moth Flight bloodline they have in P03 with Dust/Fern multiple litters, Holly, Jay, and Lion, Leaf and Squirrel, Sandstorm Ash and Fern?

ThunderClan would definitely be the envy of all the Clans, yup yup! Lots of leverage in foreign policy negotiations. I suspect they'd be heavily pressure to share the bounty one way or another. And I think Firestar would be just glad to comply. Onestar's WindClan would throw a fit though, I bet. So many filthy ThunderClanners invading all the clans.

Yup! Though as mentioned before, their workers' loyalty has its limits now, and they weren't too keen on helping P03. As such, they always told the other scrybes what was up and sabotaged any plans they could; in secret, of course, P03 would stop trusting them as much and it'd be harder to stop him had he known.

So since most of their Big Plans were nipped in the bud, they started to resort to trying to turn the other scrybes on them. Which, as also mentioned, didn't get the results that they wanted.

So they basically tried to be an evil scheming bastard but that's hard when literally nobody's on your side and your workers do everything to fuck up your plans.

When you say college guy do you mean straight up P03 is just some guy, some little punny human and Leshy is some forest entity or are they both human rivals?

YUP TO THE FIRST ONE

Leshy is an old Slavic deity, his forest once vast and wild now reduced to a small shred of what it once was, but he'd be damned if he didn't give it his all to protect what's left of his kingdom. Any sort of development that took place there would get immediately halted as trees fell on the machines, plants and mud would destroy them and workers went missing. Eventually, people refused to work there out of fear. The forest was eventually named a national park and Leshy was content with it. He had a symbiotic relationship with the park rangers, after all, they helped take care of his home. But Leshy still stayed strict when it came to his forest; he wouldn't murder a guy for throwing a paper on the ground obviously, he's reasonable, but people who litter would find themselves getting constantly scratched by plants, bit by insects and even walking into poisonous plants; if people strayed too far into his domain they'd go missing and turn up on the opposite end of the forest with no idea of how they got there.

Eventually, years later, a college campus is built nearby on the edge of the town near the national park and the college students would often come there.

Poe was an ordinary guy. Older than most students and have been studying for way longer than most of them; they often found themselves changing courses and dropping out. Truly, they didn't even want to go to college, if it was their choice they'd just take any job they can and live humbly, but their parents gave them no choice and Poe didn't know how to say no. They feel trapped and don't know what to do with their life, they honestly don't know what even is there for them in this life, the future just seems so bleak and they feel lost. And the weight of expectations from their family feels like it's crushing them.

That forest becomes one of the very few places Poe can relax, so they come by often. One day though, they strayed off the path and very quickly became lost. They've been walking for what felt like hours and the forest felt like it was changing around them. The clumsy idiot tripped and fell down the hill, breaking their leg in the process, crying out in pain. They couldn't go any further, so they resorted to calling out for help, though it felt pointless toom

But then, something they'd never expected happened. Out from the trees came a giant man, though he looked more like a beast than a man. Poe, obviously, tried to back away as far as they could, stricken with fear. Yet, Leshy had no ill intentions, he simply sighed in disappointment. "I've been trying to lead you out of my forest, and you had to go and break your leg?" he comes closer and leans over the small human. "Come." He easily picks Poe up, who's just frozen in shock and doesn't fight it. Leshy doesn't say anything else as he takes Poe to the main path and leans him down under a tree. "There are park rangers just around the corner, yell and they'll come help. And try not to get lost in my forest again." Was the last thing Leshy said to them before retreating back into the treeline.

Now, a normal human would probably never go back to that forest. Not Poe though! His immediate reaction is to go back the second his leg is better and try to find the mysterious forest man again. He just doesn't fuck off after that and becomes Leshy's constant annoyance.

Grimora and P03 get married in the reset au if I'm remembering right? Who proposed and what was the ceremony like?

Yup! P03 proposed, though he was very, very awkward about it. Grimora found it cute, thankfully. They made the ring themselves with the help of their bots and proposed in their favourite spot; a lookout spot over a cliff near-ish Leshy's territory, overlooking the archipelago.

The ceremony was small, with just the scrybes and their subordinate attending. The bots and Grimora's ghouls helped to decorate and they were very happy to do so. Dunno who officiated yet, but since it's not a game in this AU it might be Just Some Guy from the nearby town? Alternatively, The Mycologists or Rebecha having certificates to allow them to marry ppl is so funny to me.

Also, P03 wore the dress and Grimora wore a suit.
