Some different pepper varieties started cracking them out so I made another tasty salsa! I got lots of Poblano (which are SO delicious) and the Serrano are starting to ripen into red where I like them the most... Playing a ‘critical role’ in my second batch of salsa was my smoker! Smoked jalapeño and serrano salsa!! ZeCoop batch 2019-2 is Dragon’s Smoke salsa! Wow, this is tasty! On an unrelated note, I’m loving the @critical_role podcast! Played TONS of Dungeons and Dragons from 1979-83 and played again with my son when he was younger. Yes!!! That’s right... the first batch of ZeCoop salsa has been made and canned!! I only have one of two gardens dedicated to salsa so I have no idea how much I’ll make. It’s also been a pretty miserable year for the peppers. Lots of delicious tomatoes though, so we’ll see. Question mark has hot Hungarian, cayenne, jalapeño and poblano peppers. Meet Artie Garlic... He's got a little devil in him but a lot of heart! Tons of artichoke hearts and loads of garlic. A good helping of jalapenos for some heat (and flavor). I did get five from mine and the plants are HUGE but not many of the peppers are not ripe yet. Tons of lime and lime zest to balance the habenero heat.
