Random Zero Day Headcanons

- Cal has low iron. He’s tired all the time and has constant headaches. His doctors suggested an iron infusion, but he never got it.

- Andre likes reading a lot. He reads a lot of classics as well as nonfiction and magazines. Cal enjoys reading sometimes but prefers more YA or dystopian books.

- Cal pulls out some of his hair when he’s anxious. He grabs hair from the nape of his neck in order for it to be less noticeable. He also pulls at leg and arm hair too.

- Andre has a lucky charm for his track meets. It’s a leather bracelet he got from his mother that matches on his brother has. He either wears it or keeps it in his pocket during every meet.

- Cal doodles on his school work all the time. His teachers have gotten on to him for it because it basically covers all of his papers. He gets so distracted doodling that he has to copy notes from Rachel and Andre constantly.

- Andre gives bear hugs. He doesn’t hug people often, but when he does, he gives it his all. His favorite person to hug is his mom. Cal is not a hugger at all. He gives light hugs to his parents and siblings. His friends know he’d rather just hold hands or not touch at all.

- Both of their Hogwarts houses are Slytherin. Andre is mixed with Ravenclaw while Cal is pure Slytherin.

- Cal can whittle. He uses small pieces of wood left in his garage by his dad to create little animals and shapes. He gives them as gifts to people on certain holidays and birthdays.

- Andre is fluent in German and English. Cal is only fluent in English but knows some German from staying at the Kriegman house so often. Andre hasn’t even taught him anything; he just picked it up.

- Andre has dry lips that crack constantly. They bleed in the mornings as he brushes his teeth. He has chapstick in his room and his car, but he rarely remembers to use it.

- Andre prefers sunny weather while Cal prefers rainy or cold weather. Andre hates wearing thick clothing while Cal hates sweating.

- Andre feels terrible every time he accidentally steps on Mel’s paw or trips over her when she gets between his feet. He knows that he didn’t truly hurt her, but it still upsets him.

- Cal hated his younger siblings when he was little. When they were first born, he felt like his parents abandoned him and only paid attention to his brother and sister. He’s grown to love them now, but that resentment is still there.

- Andre is all over the yearbook. He’s in so many clubs and extracurricular activities that he’s constantly in pictures. Cal, on the other hand, only has one or two photos in the yearbook, including one with the school band.

- Andre is horrible when given advice or constructive criticism. He always takes it as hate or insults when someone is really just trying to help him.

Top 8 Things Calvin Has Put In His Mouth

Those 25 Cent Bouncy Balls- He thought they looked like gummies so he popped one in his mouth and chewed on it. He said it felt like a harder gummy and even insisted it had a fruity taste to it. (It did not. It was all in his head).

Andres Pencil- Sometimes Cal forgets to bring a pencil or loses his so he asks to borrow one from Andre. He always ends up chewing on it and it annoys Andre so much. He just let's Cal keep it because he doesn't want his "Cooties"

The liner of a cupcake- Whenever Cal gets a cupcake he ends up stuffing the wrapper in his mouth because of the leftover cupcake stuck to the wrapper. It's a 50/50 whether he'll spit it out of swallow it.

A Plastic Fork-He just kind of chews on plastic forks. He likes to either bite the prongs off or just chew on the fork.

Barbie Hands- While he's playing dolls with his sister and he just finds a stray hand in his room and he just chews on it. He just does it without thinking. He just loves chewing plastic

Perler Beads- Whenever Cal would make perler bead art he would chew on one because it felt like he was chewing on gum with no flavor. One time when he was with Andre he was chewing on one (even though Andre warned him not to) and started choking on it. He ended up swallowing it and Andre made fun of him because he told him so.

Plastic Straws- He likes folding up the straw in his mouth and he just kind of likes chewing on it and using his tongue to tie it into a knot

cal writing songs.

we all know cal can play the guitar and the sitar. imagine him sitting in his room humming popular songs whilst trying to figure out the right cords. he’d get them wrong almost every time and have to use the family computer to search up the sheet music.

that’s when he gets an idea. why doesn’t he just compose his own music? so that’s what he does.

he buys a journal from the store, just a composition notebook he can shrug off as one of his school books if anyone asks. inside the journal he writes down random things he think of from poems to songs to random shit that will never see the light of day.

he maps out cord progressions and riffs that he thinks sound good. he often writes his own music instead of practicing what his school director has given him. he loves it.
