Im bored so lets yap again about Zolarians + Count Dougalas💗💗💗💗(updated ver)

Tw mention of death

Zolarians are made by Kitty cat star and her three daughters, its a very simple process, the hard part is the channeling of the power, in case they have an accidental problem in using the power, the Zolarian can be born with a "flaw"

(My inspiration for this process was the diamond authority/gem creation in Steven Universe)

Those "failed" Zolarians, do not have a complete body, usually die a few days after birth

One of the Zolarians who failed and survived was Count Douglas. Some physical changes make him look slightly dog-like, and have trouble shapeshifting like the other Zolarians.

The main reason Count dougalas hates Ricky is envy, envy of his power, I'll go in depth later :3

Apart from that, Zolarians are really nice people!! Their society lives as almost constant peace

All Zolarians have a part of the power of Kitty cat star and her 3 daughters, their power is almost endless, and multiplies separately during the creation of a Zolarian

Since the planet Zolar is based on power, they have tons of studies on power, considered a more developed planet than Earth.

The main star (which is now guarded by Kitty Cat Star) was what started the planet, along with its formation the 7 suns and 7 moons were formed, which keep the planet in orbit.

The power of Zolarians varies slightly, a normal human (apart from Ricky ofc) can come into contact with a Zolarian, but cannot come into direct contact with their power, or with the 4 most powerful ones (Kitty cat star and her daughters)

Ricky can because he has part of the Zolarian DNA from the spider that bit him inside him.

Direct contact between a human being and Zolarian power can cause instant death, although sometimes it does not lead to death, the overload of the brain leads to a stroke, and the force of the force leads to broken bones and even organ failure.

I will talk about the 4 most powerful ones + Count Dougalas separately later

RTC October Day 4 - Zolarian

If y'all have read any of Legend of the Space Age Bachelor Man (found under #zolar comic on my blog, shameless self-plug), you know I was excited for this prompt.

It was hard to pick which of my Zolarians to do, but I figured the cat boy leading in abducting Ricky was a solid choice.

i feel like ricky is like lanky as shit but secretly actually pretty strong, cause aint no way are gonna be using crutches and/or a wheelchair basically your entire life, carrying all your weight, and not building up something.

like, by something i mean ultra sleeper build, maybe not regular athletic teenager strong but DEFF stronger than anyone would ever think.

I am also taking this as an opportunity to dump my own Zolarian headcanons and lore because I'm insane.

My Zolarians are all very 80s glamrock/synthwave inspired with a touch of Lisa Frank stickers and plenty of cheesy sci-fi vibes. They average between 7 to 9 feet tall and come in all colours and patterns you can imagine. They also have tails like lions with the little poof at the end cause that's adorable. Ricky gives them all either a first or last name from a famous scientist, politician, musician, or something else spacy and neat and whatever their other name is is usually a reference to a movie/song or sounds like a Warrior cat (he reads Warriors and you can't convince me otherwise)

Now, the war LOREEEEE (this is long I apologize)

Kae Nyne (not how it's spelled in the script but it sounds more like a planet spelled like that) is a planet in the Zolarian Star Cluster, in other words it's in the Galaxy that has been space colonized by Zolar. Zolar didn't do any crazy genocide crap or anything, but they've established their own sort of supreme governing body that oversees all their occupied territories. As this is how it's been for a very long time, Zolar feels entitled to these planets and would like to keep them under their thumb.

Insert Damon Dunaway Dogulous. His father was the Count of Kae Nyne before him, but his untimely death made Damon the new Count at a young age. He's much younger than any other governing body in the Star Cluster at 150 years old (equivalent to being late teens by his kind).

Dogulous thinks it's ridiculous that he has to ask permission from creatures with lifespans a third as long as his that are three solar systems away before he can make any decisions for the planet he governs. He tried to bring up the idea of Kae Nyne's independence with the King of Zolar, Bowie Galaxycat, but he basically laughed in the Count's face and told him that even if he was willing to lose territory that Zolar has overseen for millenia, Dogulous is too young of a Kae Nynian to be trusted with a planet.

Dogulous of course didn't take well to that and, being ambitious, impulsive, and insulted that a cat younger than him basically called him a stupid child, declared that Kae Nyne was independent whether the King liked it or not. If they had a problem, they could take it up with his army.

So, Zolar did.

Dogulous tried to stick to just defense. He only wanted to tire out the Zolarian forces so they could be independent, but it wasn't enough. Plus, Zolar has started looking for a 'chosen one' who has the power to stop the war. Afraid for the lives of his people and frustrated with his inability to stop Zolar, he's finally preparing a full scale invasion attempt on Zolar.

There's more but I'm making a comic about it so I can't spoil EVERYTHING.

Maybe this is more Ricky adjacent than a Ricky specific question, but any headcanons for the Zolarians? I grew up on Doctor Who and my alien loving heart has gone far too deep into my own version of the Zolarian lore, I need to know other people's takes

Ricky is. . . .. . much more imaginative than myself so I don't have a lot but I can tell you what I have pictured in my head

Ricky is definitely influenced a lot by Star Trek and I envision them wearing colorful clothing with 80s/90s aesthetics like we see in TNG and DS9 and such

They come in all different shapes, sizes, colors and fur textures like actual cats but their eyes are like. Bright, saturated jewel tone colors. The characters in the stories he writes are inspired by his actual cats

I gotta step up my game lmaoooooo I've not really thought of very much but his story within the story is very important, one of these days I'll sit down and let my imagination run wild and let y'all know what I come up with lol
