what’s the easiest part of drawing a transformer for you? or are the parts more or less equal?

if i'd answered you earlier when you've sent this, I would've said that every part that requires meticulous care in the lines of details was difficult, especially concerning tfp's, or for example alex milne's beautiful line work in mtmte

However, over the months ive found that breaking down bot's bodies initially into simple shapes, to understand their frame's silhouette, makes them much easier to work around..

I actually wanted to draw out a tutorial for this ask, but I am one easily distracted motherfucker. Anyway

my process is broken down into two components: to find the perfect balance between dynamism and accuracy to the bot's body, without relying on too many curves to show the flow in poses (considering the amount of blockier transformers, it is possible)

Golden rule that everyone knows of by now: practice makes perfect. Studies from, say the art book for tfp, or the various artists who've worked on the idw comics, will help you Immensely to improve your perception of transformer bodies in a 3D space. 'Course, it depends from one artist to another if they enjoy the grind, i personally like taking on the challenge, but the same cant be said for everyone

Another good tip is that you don't always have to be loyal to their designs to make certain poses work, you can bend the rules here and there, trying to sneak in every detail. every time, is exhausting, so scarifices have to be made

so in conclusion to answer your question, after months of practice, id say the parts are more or less equal :)

i think my fav tropes are

strong powers unintentionally affecting the world around them, like mad = rockslides/glass breaking/aggressive animals, sad = wilting plants/snuffed candles/cold snaps, you get it

"the odd one out" of a group finding another group of outcasts to befriend, especially if they're slow to warm up to this new character

someone passing out / dying after an extensive fight while being reassured they "can rest now"

a nice/meek character suddenly becoming threatening to a person (usually an enemy that's situationally good for the moment) when their friends aren't around to see

a non-human character that's not really known that well and is seen as scary bonding with a little kid and keeping them safe for an unspecified amount of time

yes yes!!!! these are all so good!!! number 1, 3 and 4 make me especially get all hyped up, but honestly all of these are excellent picks 👌

so what’s ur fav sims world (out of all the sims games you’ve played)? Mine is tied between Copperdale & Oasis Springs from ts4

Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville from ts2 are iconic imo

I didn't play ts3 as much as ts2 and ts4 (I'm sorry but I can't get past how ugly the Sims look in that game) iirc I only played in the base game world. Sunset Valley, was it?

In ts4 my faves are San Myshuno, Windenburg, Henford-On-Bagley, Moonwood Mill, Strangerville, Chestnut Ridge and Copperdale.

i honestly dont remember!! i think i saw it on tumblr from @zxrtecs, he rbed a few adonis posts and i got hooked :33 it was either ramses or @lycanthian talking about the game that got me interested. either way i was very intrigued by adonis, then arashi, then alkaloid, then i became the tatsunluvr that i am..

i think if i really truly had 2 pick im a bit of a fruiter for tatsurinne, their dynamic is so silly, the way thrir struggles r so similar.. i think theyd find a loooot about themselves reflected in the other.. kinship..
