Hello, hello, hello, tags!
This is Bee, the admin from Taking Manhattan RPG. This is just a reminder to everyone that the role of Sebastian Smythe will be reviewed for tonight at 8:00 P.M. EST.! That gives everyone roughly 11 hours to submit an application for our favorite family law practitioner OR for anyone else! This will be a total inbox review, so if you would like to be considered in this round of acceptances for any of our open characters (including Mason McCarthy, Spencer Porter, and Jesse St. James), then submit an application by 7:59 P.M. EST and weâll be good to go!
I hope you all have a lovely Saturday!

NEW YORK CITY PRIDE:Â á´Ęá´ sá´ÉŞĘÉŞá´ á´Ň sá´á´É´á´á´Ąá´ĘĘ ĘÉŞá´ á´s á´É´
Itâs nearly the end of June, but that doesnât stop NYC Pride from making the last weekend into a good one. We here at Taking Manhattan Glee RPG also want to commemorate the activism that was grown from the Stonewall Riots and on by recognizing this important, powerful movement that affects not only our characters, but our members as well. Thus, I want to wish everyone a very happy Pride Month, as well as encourage everyone to participate in the events listed below that will make up this weekend.
SATURDAY, JUNE 24TH
Pride Island
2 P.M. - 10 P.M.
VIP Rooftop Party
2 P.M. - 10 P.M.
Teaze
4 P.M. - 10 P.M.
Masterbeat Game Show
10 P.M. - 6 A.M.
SUNDAY, JUNE 25TH
The March
Step-Off: Noon
Pride Fest
11 A.M. - 6 P.M.
Femme Fatale
4 P.M. - 10 P.M.
Pride Island: Sunday
2 P.M. - 10 P.M.
Again, I want to encourage everyone to participate in these events. As I imagine that there will be in real life, a group-oriented After Party for the VIP Rooftop Party will commence immediately at 10:00 P.M. EST, and while everyone in the group could be invited/find themselves at the party, it can be up to you on how that is achieved.
This is our first dashboard-based event, but on the horizon will be a Fourth of July-themed event, so be on the watch for that! Until then, I want to wish you all again a happy month of Pride and my deepest gratitude for all of you being here.

Hello! Would you prefer the writing sample to be in character, or will any one do?
Hello, anonymoose!
I would prefer if the writing sample was in character for the character whom you are applying for, BUT that doesnât mean that it needs to be in verse. However, if you donât have a sample for the character youâre applying for then just make a note of it along with the same as we do have in character questions that need to be answered, too, and can make up for a sample being written for another character.
I hope that all of that made sense! Thanks so much for your interest!

While I'm your Quinn isn't straight (way, way, way too many are), I wish she were just gay.
Hello, anonymous!
First of all, Iâm going to assume that you left out a positive word in the beginning of that sentence (I hope it was positive anyway), so I just wanted to say thank you to begin with, as well as a thank you for following along with the roleplay and paying attention to the characters that weâre creating together.
Iâm sorry that youâre not 100% grooving with the development of Quinnâs sexuality, but I couldnât disagree with you more as the admin and as a member who gets the honor of roleplaying with Kay as her Quinn. I am in complete agreement with you that itâs important to show representation throughout all of the RPC â through sexuality, gender, race, and beyond. However, I definitely believe that itâs also important to dig deeper and to flesh out the subsets of those topics with their own proper representation. Bisexual representation is just as important as homosexual representation and so I am nothing if not proud of the development that Quinn has shown in understanding her own sexuality in this verse â especially since we are dealing with a show that, for the most part, has not always been as accepting of bisexuality canonically. Itâs also important to remember that there are many who believe sexuality to be very fluid and Quinn has discussed it a little bit on the dash how she feels on the matter, and so she is still in the midst of figuring out how exactly/if she wants to label herself.
Iâm very thankful to our members for always taking the extra mile to not only keep open minds to what could be out there for their characters, but to also go searching for it. Again, Iâm sorry that youâre not seeing what you would like to, but perhaps you could follow in their footsteps by doing the same.
Thanks again for reading along with us, though! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.
- Admin Bee
