so. sanji, but instead of just being flexible (either through judge's BS [what little i know of it], or from zeff teaching him how to fight), having like a localized hypermobility disorder.

like, I've got it affecting my shoulders and wrists and legit went through physical therapy to strengthen the muscles to not just let the joints move around like they wanted. and even with those exercises and shit, it's not like the pain ever really goes away? i ignore it, bc it's just my baseline after practically thirty years but just--

sanji having the muscle stability thanks to zeff teaching him to fight to not accidentally fuck himself up when his hips/ knees/ ankles constantly go well-past where they should. him not realizing that kinda just aching ALL THE TIME shouldn't be the case at 21, let alone 19.

him finally getting to the point of actually letting the crew know when his joints ache so bad it's excruciating to even THINK about moving. he still doesn't know what to do when they try to actually take care of him or help him in their own ways, but it does something funny to his heart every time.

had the brief passing thought of Zoro being called a "thrice-cursed demon of a child" (fond) as a kid and now I'm firmly back in the pit of my own making about transman Zoro.
