Every time I hear it, I can perfectly see Henry pining over Alex when they were on the brink of surpasing that "fuck-buddies-turning-to lovers" stage. To me, it encapsulates Henry 's feelings of desperately wanting the love Alex can give him but being so very scared of it at the same time. God, give it a listen, it's so good.

I imagine a big pause before the final chorus that goes right in the moment when Alex confronts him at the Palace and then the song returns when they kiss. It hurts good.
