Story time: Pink Purgatory aka I lost (won?) a bet aka t*ts out for housing👙

So…after bidding on a large plot every housing round for what feels like an eternity, my FC put in 4 bids on a large in Mist. The odds were not good.

I’d been making increasingly silly half-joking pledges that IF WE WON I would do something painful. As an offering. To the clearly capricious fae of housing.

This time I got serious and swore before all that if we won, I would wear my worst nightmare glam for one day for every 10% odds we beat.

My spouse suggested the Viera starting gear. In bright pink. On every class. All the time. 😱

Now, anyone that knows me well KNOWS I am generally pretty covered up (at most a little low top but then long trousers, or small shorts but with a more covered top) & hate pink (unless I am mixing it with black).

The complete Viera starting set makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. 🫣 I don’t mind it on OTHER people but it’s really not me.

Seeing as this was a pledge that would cause me genuine psychological pain, I went with it.

Other FC members decided to do the same - Jung swore to wear the maid outfit in pink, and Schro swore to wear the entire calfskin rider’s set, hat and all, undyed. He hates wearing casual glams and it would also cost him his moustache and his ears. 😭

…we won. 😂 Couldn’t believe it.

So now I’ll be spending 9 days like this. 👙 But it was worth it…right? 🥹🥹🥹

you don't just "play" final fantasy 14 you either tried it and it wasn't your sort of game so you never touched it again, or you kept playing it and it fundamentally changed you as a person and irreversibly altered your brain chemistry

I finally got to do some patch content last night so I hopped into the variant dungeon.

It was a lot of fun, we unlocked five of the book entries and figured out what to do for another one. The scenery in there is beautiful.

And I’m a teeny tiny bit in love with this new hairstyle. Which I did not expect. 😂
