“Whaaat? Oh, come on! How come you get to use my Sonic but I can’t use the Proton Pack? That’s hardly fair, is it?!” Really, he just wanted to put it on for a minute or two, maybe even use it for a second. Sure, he could probably build one himself but where’s the fun in that? It’d be even better if Egon Spengler himself gave the green light!
"C'mon, I'll tell you how the TARDIS works if you gimme a minute with the Proton Pack!"

MISCELLANEOUS SENTENCE PROMPTS * collection #2
i got here as fast as i could.
you’ve got a fever. just as i suspected.
there has to be something i can do to help.
i’m all right. nothing life-threatening.
i’m not going to break it!
why don’t you get settled on the couch with a big blanket and i’ll bring you whatever you need?
considering everything you’re dealing with, you’re in line for sainthood at this point.
we should get inside before my nose freezes off.
i couldn’t have done this without you.
maybe we should walk the rest of the way.
thank you for staying.
i don’t have a gun in my bag.
whatever’s on your mind… it matters to me.
don’t think like that.
there’s no one i’d rather explore with.
it was smart of you to come here.
there were other ways to go about that.
things seem to be going well with you two.
you must have eyes on the back of your head.
i’d like you to trust me someday.
do you have any plans tomorrow?
let’s keep it moving!
would you join me?
we’re a couple of losers.
i’m alive and safe for now.
i think you enjoy hurting my feelings.
there are plenty of ways i can help you.
do it right this time!
can’t believe we survived that.
that was illegal! you’re disqualified!
thanks for another lesson.
it’s not polite to snoop.
would you drink with me for a while?
there are plenty of reasons to cry.
we should dance again, for old times’ sake.
what can you tell me about the last time you saw him?
do you believe they’re still alive?
i love you. i love you with everything i am.
it has been far too long since i faced death like that.
not the first time i’ve heard that.
just come inside and we’ll find something else to talk about.
you don’t look awful. who said you looked awful?
i’m craving pad thai.
you’re always good to me.
come inside. we can talk in here.
you make me a better person.
i just need a minute to catch my breath.
didn’t want to pour a glass for myself and leave you hanging.
every time we meet like this, you kick me off the roof.
this is all i’ve ever been good at.
it’s all right if you’re pissed.
there’s something on your face.
i’ve never seen you stare like that.
now you know the truth about me.
do me a favor and don’t walk out.
what on earth did i just walk into?
just give it back and we’ll be good.
i can stand here. i’m not doing anything illegal.
you seem a bit busy.
i just want to go home.
i care about them, too, you know.
let me do what i do best.
i won’t be like the others.
do you feel safe with me out here?
let me explain everything over dinner.
name a place. i’m buying.
try googling what your dreams mean.
i have no words. none.
i should be apologizing to you.

We all cried and got depressed when the 10th Doctor regenerated, but how much attention did we give to the music on the background, the song the Ood sang to him to say goodbye? I can guarantee you will appreciate this scene even more when you read the song lyrics.

Vale Decem (Farewell Ten), Ad Eaternam (On to eternity)
Di Melioria (The Fates be with you), Ad Aeternam (On to eternity)

“Tell me, what good would it have done? Let me tell you something, Thor, it wouldn’t have made a bloody difference!” The name of the God of Thunder was said with so much anger that it might as well have been an insult. He WANTED to help, he wanted to save people and make it better because, in the end, that’s what he did. He was The Doctor, the man who makes people better and yet... He couldn’t even help a scared boy in his last moments and that was one of his biggest failures to date.
“I couldn’t intervene! The Laws of Time, they’re not something you want to mess with. Fixed points in time are MEANT to happen no matter how much we want to change them! I’m sorry I couldn’t save that kid! Peter Parker, a kid who had his life taken away by some - Some mad alien who thinks he’s doing the right thing! I keep the Laws of Time but Time obeys NO ONE!... Not even a Time Lord.” His anger was seeping into his words. Usually, he would say the right thing in the right tone so that no one got hurt but now? Now he didn’t care. He was dissapointed at himself. All that knowledge inside his head and he couldn’t save a single person...

“I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry.” He meant it. With both his hearts, he meant what he said. He was sorry he wasn’t there to do anything to prevent this unnecessary war and bloodshed... A part of him thought back to Gallifrey and the Time War, all those lives lost forever. The only silver lining was that it hadn’t been a complete genocide and half of humanity was still there. And yet, he didn’t feel like celebrating. He’d made it his priority to keep humanity safe and he’d failed...
“Who - What did this? I’ve never met any being that could do this, especially not as easily as you say it was. So, what did it?” There was an undertone of anger in his voice and anger was not a good thing for a man like the Doctor. Anger was a catalyst for bad decisions and he wasn’t looking forward to repeating the mistake he did with Adelaide Brooke. It took him a fraction of a second for him to see who’d done this much damage.
“Thanos... It was him, wasn’t it?...”

` generally speaking, the ocean is a big, creepy mess. have you ever seen the stuff that comes out of it? angler fish. cone snails. my UNCLE. weird! terrifying! `

“Well, when you think about it, the ocean is as creepy as the Universe. The universe has things like black holes and exploding suns, the Daleks, the Time Lords and even gods! Though they’re not as real as the Gods you’ve got! Although, I do have to pay Poseidon a visit. He borrowed something from me and never gave it back...”

@psychosisborn - X

Oh... Those eyes, he’s seen them before. He can see the pain in her eyes, the memories that bring forth the pain... Yeah, he’s been there before. All the time, at the simple mention of Gallifrey, his home planet, he gets that same look in his eyes and he can’t help it, not really! But he didn’t like seeing children like her having that look in their eyes, that was reserved for people like him who’d seen too much and had done too much.
“C’mon now, I’m not lying. It doesn’t matter how bad things look, there’s always someone waiting for you. Could be a friend, friends, family or, y’know... A world that you love. All you got to do is look for it.” He gave her a knowing wink just to drop the hint that he knew about her world. Her wonderland. It wasn’t that hard for him, he was a skilled telepath and sensing the fluctuations in her subconscious was just the thing he needed to deduce the existence of wonderland. Although... He’d read Alice and Wonderland before and even met Lewis Carroll and he didn’t remember Alice being so... Broken, for lack of a better word. But that was about to change, at least for a while.
“I know I’ve given you little reason to trust me but please trust me. I don’t wanna hurt you nor will I ever. I just have one thing to ask you... Will you come with me? I got something that’s absolutely bonkers and I think you’ll love it. What do you say, Alice? Down the rabbit hole?” His plan was simple. Show her the TARDIS and take her on a quick trip. Nothing dangerous, just let her see that the world had more to offer than just pain.
That was the beauty of travelling the stars, seeing all those planets and horizons ... That and just the thrill of it.

The Doctor pulled out a pair of tortoise-shell glasses and put them on as he ran around the console, pushing buttons and pulling levers to make sure that the TARDIS could safely vanish from that specific point in time. Jumps like these were always tricky even for him and this particular incarnation of his, that did have the skill to pilot his ship with enough accuracy to get to where and when he wanted. Though he hadn’t tried to do that to escape what was, in essence, a fixed point in time. Truth be told, those glasses were only for show, to indicate he was smart even though it should be clear that he was BRILLIANT.
He’d been paying attention to her every detail while he ran around. Her posture, her attitude and the sheer confusion upon realising that her surroundings were different. Under normal circumstances, he would’ve relished on how surprised she looked but now? Now he was more concerned with how she was. It wasn’t often that he would use Regeneration Energy to save someone from death, in fact, it was something he avoided like the plague.
He did turn to look at her when she finally realised they’d met before. A small and gentle smile formed on his face before he spoke. “Yep.” He popped the ‘P’ at the end just cause and continued. “We’ve met before, nothing big for the past twenty odd years or so. But I did meet you while you were on the field, for a few minutes.” His expression was that of amusement. This was the first time he saw what happened when a human body was exposed to Regeneration Energy so the fact that she didn’t remember him didn’t really upset him. “Oh yes. Yes, I did. One in a lifetime chance really. I wasn’t going to let you die there, you can do a lot more. I’m The Doctor, by the way.”
tenthdxctxr:
Jack? Was she talking about Captain Jack Harkness? Had he been running around trying to get in bed with The Boss?! It took him a few seconds (that felt like minutes to him) to realise that she was talking about him… Big Boss. The man who would go to become the Greatest Soldier of the 20th Century. The Doctor had met Big Boss, though he always called him John, not Jack. It was hard for him to keep track of all the aliases and names that these people used; though he himself had used various names during his long life, only some stuck.
He’d been keeping tabs on her for a while now. Litte things such as saying hi on the street or giving helpful advice such as telling her the time. The Sorrow, now that man had definitely kept in touch! He could send messages to the Psychic Paper and that was a rare skill for humans to have. The last time they had talked properly had been about… 20 years ago give or take. Once the two entered the TARDIS the doors closed and shielded them from the MiG bombing she had ordered. The Old Girl wouldn’t even be fazed by those little things. She had survived the Time War with barely a scratch on her! Human weaponry wouldn’t be a problem for her.

He stared at her blue eyes with a pained look on his own brown eyes. He knew this, all this, had to be difficult for her. He did just save her from near death by using his Time Lord physiology and then he had broken one of the Laws of Time he had sworn to protect… And all because he didn’t deem it fair for a woman such as her to die like that, even if she had come to terms with it. “Boss… Looking good. How long has it been? Twenty years? Give or take?” He tried to be a bit cheerful but he fell short. He could relate to her. He had been a soldier once, so he knew how she must feel.
“I assume you have questions… It’s best if you sit down, this is going to be long and I need the space to move around.” He pointed to one of the seats that were near the console before he moved to do his thing and get them away from that place and time.
HER MIND MAY have cleared from her very near death experience, she had been shot in the heart with a bullet that had all but destroyed the organ. The wound was fatale and she’d been fading in and out of consciousness, hell she was barely even aware when she was ‘awake’. And then her entire body was healed, good as new, her brain having already started the process of essentially shutting itself down had scrambled at the sudden change of state. It put a strain on her mind and while the worst of it may be over she can’t help but feel exhausted. The conversation and confrontation she had with Jack, being yanked back into life. Without a fight she quietly turns and moves to the seat he’d pointed at.
She sinks into the chair, her posture anything but its usual composed self. A hand moves to rest digits against temple, her thumb along her jaw. For a minute or so The Boss stares at nothing in particular, The Doctor’s questions barely even register for her. In a blink her attention shifts to take in this… place. Was she in here before? She can’t remember, maybe it just looks familiar to something she had in a dream once. Eventually her gaze falls back on the man in a tailored suit. She knows him, she’s seen him before, many times.
The Boss blinks a few times as a frown spreads across lips, what’s his name again? She can’t remember. Head lifts from her hand, brows knit, ❝ we’ve met before, haven’t we? ❞ Her frown lessens to a ghostly one, her expression softens, she’s too tired to dig into her memories at the moment. ❝ You.. pulled me from the field. ❞
