How do peeps react to Leo being heard kid, cause she doesn't have any demigod children, so I imagine at first they must be confused. Does Leo sleep in Hephaestus's cabin or Heras? Also Bamf Leo for the win!! he must be a force to be reckoned with due to sparring with the fucking queen of the gods

You remember how in the lightning thief, kids started avoiding Percy after he was claimed because well, Poseidon?

Yeah. Leo falls under similar treatment as big three kids since he barely qualifies as a big three kid in a way. Like one could argue that Poseidon, Zeus and Hera are the big three on the counsel and shit. Big Four ig when Hades is now more officially an Olympian. They don’t want to mess with the immortal kid that was claimed by Hera herself, everyone knows she’s petty af when she’s been slighted.

And Leo is a bit tired of having to explain that no, he’s not Hera’s biologically, he’s hers in a surrogate way where she granted him immortality when he couldn’t say yes or no to it, and sure she raised him for a fair amount of time but she ain’t his mam.

He sleeps in the Hephaestus cabin but always seems to wake up tucked in the Hera cabin. (Campers have totally never seen Hera carrying her sleeping son to her cabin so he can get his own private bed, Nope, totally not, she’d never break her husband’s rules to not interact with the mortal world in such a personal way as to move Leo to the ‘proper’ cabin:P)

Propatulus Aurora AU

In which Earth, the entire solar sytem and other planets is alive, a universe where the impossible is only an illusion, where monsters and gods are sometimes both and can be killed, living amongst their mortal kin, where the concept of Death is different for every planet or galaxy, but the solar system has a concept of death joined with the void, as inevitable as it is kind, the primordial darkness rejoicing of the life that dots it. And in which Humans are just vibing after being properly introduced to the Wider Galaxy Community, turning enemies into friends and the like. Also, Earth takes no shit from alien invaders and boots them out the moment they try to enter her atmosphere.

Except for the good ones, they can stay.

In this Au, Planets were vaguely sorted into three categories: Destroyer, Creator, and Protector. The likes of Primus, Eukaris, Devisiun, Petropia and numerous others were known as Creator-planets, due to being able to seed life from their own bodies. Whereas Unicron, Pyros, Appoplexia and the like were known as the Destroyer-planets, being known to destroy dead planets to make way for the new cycle. As the name suggested, Protector-planets were primarily concerned with the defense of their home system, protecting it both from Destroyers seeking to devour a still living planet and Creators from seeding other planets with parasites, but also has the fewest planets of the three, with Earth being counted among it alongside her siblings in the Solar System in the Milky Way. Arburia also counted as a Protector before it's destruction.

But for those lacking a Protector-planet to defend them, a Guardian and a Titan was the next best thing individual planets can have. Consisting of a planet's strongest children, they can be considered as gods in the view of others. E.g. Godzilla and Mothra of Earth are a textbook example of a Titan and Guardian pairing, despite the fact that Earth was a Protector-planet. Earth is their version of a cryptid to her fellow planets, appearing in other galaxies with no warnings.

Where humans have powers that is derived from their souls, some able to turn it tangible as their weapon of choice like a sword, or manifesting an entire armour made up of their soul or even performing them like the four elements. Due to this close connection with their own lifeforce they live somewhere in between the living and the spiritual world, otherwise called as the umbral, or fourth dimension. The denizens of the Umbral World consist of mythological or extinct creatures and primarily steeped in magic, invisible to the naked eye. And in honor of their mother-planet, they dedicated themselves to taking care of creatures trying to cause trouble in the mortal realm, whether by rehabilitation or execution, the primary group known for this is called the Titanslayers, led by June Darby and Cade Yeager.

All of this is done quietly in the shadows, considering almost none in the Wider Galaxy Community is aware of the Umbral Dimension. The Anur system are one of the few to also be able to interact with the Umbral Dimension, as well as the Null Dimension and Legerdomain by virtue of being attached to it.

Earth is steeped in magic, so humans have been able to mostly connect it seamlessly with technology and even science (E.g. Ben Tennyson being a World Shifter as well as a biologist in this AU). The primary examples are the Jaegers, metal machines operated by human pilots and the love child of science, technology and magic.

The Earth-Titans are also denizens of the Umbral Dimensions, so they are a visible example of creatures originating in the Umbral Dimension living in the Mortal Realm.

Also, Earth is as ancient as the other planets, consisting of those ages in trillions, but because she only settled into a planet after most planets already turned inactive in the case of the Creator-planets, the Galaxy widely believed she was only 4 billion years old, having only counted the years she was a planet rather than the active creature she was back then, having been the third to settle as a planet in their solar system.

Also, Earth's biodiversity came from the planets and creatures she has killed and eaten, once having been described as containing a black hole for a stomach, and with those biodiversity inherited by humans was born their nearly limitless ability to procreate with any sentient creature in the Galaxy. As long as they have the equivalent of a soul, they can carry a child of that alien species, double the effectiveness if they were just using their soul, as having just used it means their lifeforce is still closer to the surface of their physical body and made flexible enough to make procreation between two different species possible. (E.g. The Plumbers Kids/Amalgam Kids, Max McGrath, Kevin Levin, Others)

Hybrid children still aren't that common though, due to having to feed fragment bits of their own soul to sustain a half foreign onr. It can even prove taxing enough to require a third party stepping in just so both parent and offspring doesn't die.

Ancient creatures lurk in the background of the universe, taking the form of Suns, Black Holes and the like. Helios, the Sun of the Solar System, is one such example.

And as a bonus, this AU is primarily crack with eldritch horror, heartfelt feelings and interspecies romance mixed in.

In other words, welcome to the crackfest that is Propatulus Aurora, and enjoy your stay!

(PS. I'll be taking stuff from each canon and mashing them together to fit my perceptions and suits my purposes, and ignoring anything else that doesn't.)

I actually found the director, head animator, and head modeler on Bilibili! Here Real proud of myself because he has no accounts on the western internet. He hasn't posted the full short on his account yet but he does have a fananimation for the Apex Legends X FFVII Rebirth collab.

From what I can tell this is also the first Genshin related animation he's done which is cool. The rest of the creators seem to be from the CN fandom as well although I could not find their Bilibili's from a quick search

Moonlit Bamboo Forest - Passion Paris

So this is apparently an Academy Award winning Animation studio!? Passion Pictures is the studios name and the Paris branch animated this short. We have legit 2D animation studios submitting Shorts to Hoyofair now. Wow!

Needless to say this was the short with the most unique animation style. And one of my top favorites this year.

Trial by Combat - ???

So this one seems to be just a collab of a bunch of animators. Like I can't find the project manager online (too generic a name for google). The head animator has a twitter but Twitter changed at somepoint where it won't let me view a direct link to someones profile without being logged in. I ain't creating a twitter for this rabbit hole. his username is rabbitoldman if you want to look him up. But he hasn't made any tweets with the word genshin as far as google's concerned.

I just can't find one sorry.

Blade Strider Gets Something Right

I wrote this goofy fanfic for reddit and decided to repost it here in case anyone wants to read it.

A canon divergence that starts from about 1:20 episode 57.

Blade Strider smiled with sadistic glee as he plunged all four of his katanas into Titan Cameraman. His smile soon faded, however, as he realised that he had missed the Titan's core entirely and useleslly stabbed the most heavily armored part of his body.

Disgusted, Titan Cameraman ripped off the Strider's welding mask to look his attacker in the face. He raised both his hands in a dramatic slapping gesture...

But here, things happen differently.

Instead of standing like a deer in the headlights, Blade Strider fought through the panic, ripped one of his swords out of Titan Cameraman's armor, and with shocking speed, plunged it directly into his lens.

It skewered Titan Cameraman through the head and, obviously, the Titan died.

Blade Strider's mission hadn't been to execute the Titan but to distract him, so everyone, including all Skibidis on the scene, froze in awestruck horror as Titan Cameraman slumped lifelessly to the ground, dragging Blade Strider with him.

While everyone else was distracted by the commotion, TV Woman tore the parasite out of Titan Speakerman's neck with her hand knives and teleported it to the ground, where the freshly liberated Titan immediately stamped on it.

Titan Speakerman enjoyed a few seconds of freedom before the parasite meant for Titan Cameraman caught him off guard and took his brother's place. The new parasite was much smarter and better at fighting.

Both Titans were neutralized. It was the greatest shutout win in Skibidi Toilet history.

TV Woman barely escaped clutching her badly injured friend Plungerman.

Soon after, Astro Assailant personally congratulated G-Man on doing such a great job and cautioned him to not let his guard down and remember there was still a third Titan out there who could return at any moment.

The Scientist was not forced to reveal his new Mech to the Alliance and kept his new stolen powers a closely guarded secret. Instead, he unleashed an army of Mutants to hunt down every remaining Cameraman and Speakerman.

Blade Strider spent the happiest week of his life swaggering around calling himself "the Titanslayer". Sadly (for him) he soon died a truly terrible death as the first victim of Plungerglitch. Berserker Mutant was spared his canon fate as Plungerman, devastated by what happened to his "father", made it his personal mission to destroy every Skibidi Strider he could find.

Until he met the only person in the Skibidiverse with worse main character syndrome than himself....

Their battle will be legendary.

It has been like 10 months since the chapter(s), but TitanSlayer's portrayal of Musashi during her arc in Battleship on my Doorstep still makes me facepalm.

SHE. WOULD. NOT. DO. THIS. SHE MAKES IT PRETTY OBVIOUS IN HER LINES THAT WHILE STRONG, SHE BELIEVES HER STRENGTH SHOULD BE USED TO PROTECT THOSE WHO LACK HER STRENGTH.

Like, I don't know how it could be any more obvious. It is wildly out of character for Musashi to go "hm, this guy is talking shit, better kill him with my lightning powers."

My initial reaction to her was that she was actually Akagi in disguise (half jokingly), because I wouldn't put it past her (I mean, look at this line)

Anyway, it's honestly disappointing, because I was able to come up with a better reason for Musashi to be an antagonist for that part of the story: Mark Fraiser (main antagonist of the story) uses his connections in the yakuza to get information to Musashi's doorstep painting Tyler (male lead) and/or New Jersey as a danger to the people she cares about. Then, when Shinano gets her dream about NJ arriving in Japan, Musashi gets on edge and then the confrontation happens later on. With some alteration of the dialogue, that moment would work in-character for her, as she'd see it as eliminating a potential threat to her loved ones.

BUT NOPE, LET'S JUST MAKE HER SALTY ABOUT HOW THE PACIFIC WAR WENT, AS IF THERE ISN'T ANOTHER KANSEN THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE THAT MOTIVATION WORK!
