Todd is envy. He wants what Neil has, his charisma, his easy popularity. You say things and people listen. I'm not like that.

Greed is how Mr Perry would perceive Neil's ambition. He's given Neil so much, and Neil wants more? You had opportunities that I never even dreamed of. How dare he want choice as well?

Knox is lust, obviously.

Pride seems to fit Charlie best. He doesn't bother consulting the other Poets before he writes his disastrous article in their name, or before inviting the girls to the cave, and there's certainly a kind of arrogance in that.

Sloth seems unfair to pin on Meeks when he's clearly a hard worker - but in terms of character arc, he doesn't change, doesn't strive for anything new in the way Neil and Todd and Charlie and even Knox (for better or for worse) do. It's a feature of his position as a secondary character rather than an innate character flaw - he's not given the same room to grow - but it still kind of fits.

Cameron might be wrath, if he does what he does out of genuine anger towards Keating in the wake of his friend's death. He's certainly the one (alongside Mr Perry) who brings the fury of the Welton system down on Keating.

Hot take but if an author’s main motivation for a screen adaptation of their book(s) is to do what they wished they had written in the first place, then maybe a screen adaptation shouldn’t be made. People fell in love with what already existed and that’s what they want to see. Isn’t that enough? Anyways, if you like seeing what-if things went differently for stories, fanfiction is right there. There are so many fanfics that do exactly that

never a lukabeth(?) shipper because gross and not why annabeth loves luke at all but the LACK of relationship exposition between the two of them in the show is PISSING me off genuinely. luke and annabeth's relationship is CRUCIAL to the conflict Luke has with the gods and his subsequent redemption, as well as the entire driving force for book 3,4, and 5. it was a relationship that percy was jealous of, not simply because he liked her romantically but because it was a side of Annabeth that he never got to see and a type of bond that he never had with her, despite going through so much together.

letting Luke say "oh Annabeth and I are like family" and then never even let them interact with each other makes absolutely NO SENSE. this lack of relationship exposition between the two of them completely takes away Annabeth's emotional investment when facing Hermes and explaining May's curse. its PAINFUL for her to talk about them because it PAINS Luke and she can TELL.

if you're not gonna build up their relationship, why do we waste precious screen time with Hermes and make the Lotus Casino Scene so... meh??? When it could have been fun and whimsy and silly and the kids can take a shower and hear some weirdo say groovy and realize gambling is a trap!!!??

It also robs Annabeth of such character depth in PAINS ME. shes just a girl. shes awkward and have crushes and is emotional and is scared of losing people she loves. shes not just "six step ahead of everyone child soldier prodigy" MY GOD.

and of course i love seeing percabeth on my tv but dear LORD having luke say "youre like an old married couple" is SO OUT OF CHARACTER and to have Annabeth not even respond flustered or embarrassed?????? ITS THE SLOW BURN OF THE CENTURY I DO NOT NEED YOU TO HAMMER IT INTO MY HEAD THAT THEYRE MARRIED AT 12. I FIGURED THAT OUT WHEN HE SACRIFICED HIMSELF TWICE FOR A GIRL HE JUST MET.

having serious tbosas brainrot so here's a list of things that were in the books that i wish the movie showed: (spoilers below)

how far tigris was willing to go to protect coriolanus. in the books it implied she was willing to sell her body to keep him fed (also i cant even begin to imagine her reaction to seeing Snow selling desirable victors to captiol citizens when she herself as a child wanted to resort to prostitution to put food on the table FOR HIM.)

how insane dr gaul was in the books. iirc she didnt warn clemensia about the snakes and lied that they were harmless

clemensia being gone for weeks and her parents not questioning it bc gaul said it was a flu + clemensia COMING BACK all covered in scars/scales and no one questioning what happened to her (seriously the grip gaul had within the capital was INSANE)

how awful highbottom and gaul were in the books. i absolutely loathed them when i read tbosas whereas they weren't as bad in the movies (though that might be bc i love viola davis and peter dinklage)

how much coriolanus' mother meant to him (they talked about it a bit in the movie but i wish they showed him smelling her compact when he was upset/stressed)

the extent of how coriolanus manipulated both his classmates AND sejanus' parents

also how sejanus' ma always made sure coriolanus was fed when he went over to the plinth's home and how she sent them sweets and pastries when they were sent to 12

i hope that will solace is cast as a blonde man who looks similar to walker. i hope if we get the "youre not my type" scene both boys are dressed in virtually the same outfit and look as close to brothers as two people who arent related can look. i hope rick takes this golden opportunity to be the funniest person alive.

Somebody has probably already said this, but Jim being mad at Pam in season 9 for not recording Cece's presentation makes no sense. They are literally being followed around by professionals with cameras... If Pam can get recorded answering the phone, surely they can record Cece, too
