I really loved the imagery in this piece ❤️

I enjoy making AUs for even my own characters because it helps me stay engaged with a media.

This piece is a show of my character Dane, but a version where his life played out significantly differently and he became chancellor, which is why I refer to him as "chancellor Dane." In this variation, Dane was taken from his planet and sith master young and brought back by qui-gon. But, with qui-gon's death, chancellor Dane's grip on his control and tendency towards the dark side slips. In the moment at the funeral, to-be-chancellor Dane turns to a darker path. The chain in the background shows the break in his tightly leashed, more volatile tendencies which leads to him getting rid of palpatine. Dane is standing besides dooku, his master, in the background while young obi-wan is at the casket.

As for the flowers, I wanted to showcase the idea of growth, decay and change in general. The bus, obviously, is something that has yet to fully grow and bloom. But, once the flower has bloomed, it's still surrounded by a bush that's rotting. I hoped that helped convey the idea of both corruption and good times running out. The flower changes into something else, going from something only touched by darkness and red, into blooming into something that symbolizes death.

This was a LOT of fun! I'd absolutely be SOOO excited if anyone wanted to talk about any of the symbolism they noticed, thought of or took differently!!! ❤️
