3-14. Only 3 wins all seasons. The New York football giants have been around for a whole century and this is how they celebrate. They win 3 games. 0 division wins by the way. We couldn’t even get our complimentary home win against Washington. And I get it, the commies are good now, but we always got one over them. 100 years of New York football and this is the earliest in the season I checked out. I think I was done by the time DJ threw that pick 6 against the Vikings in week 1. Normally the giants would hold my fandom until week 8. They’d go on some stretch, winning 4 of 6, keeping playoff hopes alive until dropping the last 4. They couldn’t even do that for me this year. And you know what I was happy about that, meant we’d get our pick of qb in the draft (a draft that does suck across the board) but I thought our new GM and HC would get to come in, with cap space and a top 3 pick and get their guy. Then we beat the colts. Thank god the raiders, jags and pats all picked up a win or two in the last few weeks. So now we sit at pick 3. Two qb hungry teams ahead of us and plenty behind willing to trade up to get their guy. But that’s okay. This new regime will get Travis Hunter or Will Johnson and really set up this secondary. But no. John Mara can’t get his head out of his own ass for two seconds and because he doesn’t want to do the work to find a new GM and HC we’re bringing back these two bozos to run this circus. I consider myself a lucky nfl fan. When I was a kid I got to see the giants win a ring, but since then I have seen at best mediocrity. The New York giants are the joke of the league and that won’t change until John Mara fires his family and lets football guys make the football choices. He is just like his father. He will never be able to get out of his own way and as long as he is at the top of this organization, it will suck. But every season I will continue to get optimistic and continue to let my heart be broken by them. Maybe next year will be different, but we all know it won’t.

I’m not gonna be breaking any new ground here but the fact that Roman last because he still couldn’t get over what happened 10 years ago is pure cinema. Obviously Cody winning with cross-Rhodes made sense, but I really would’ve loved to see a bionic elbow end the match. WWE was able to figure out what AEW couldn’t and that’s how to make Cody the face of the company. He’s what they’ve looked for since Cena. He’s gonna sell tickets and merch and they can put him on the late night shows and what not. WWE has a major chance to really rise to prominence again and I think with Triple H at the helm and Cody being the face of the company they will do just that

Two posts in one day, crazy I know. So Donald Glover posted what looked like a new album on his Instagram story. Like any other Childish Gambino fans, this was great news. Exactly 4 years after his last album came out. But looking more into it, it looks like a revamp of 3.15.20. But I don’t think that’s what it is. I know this is gonna sound crazy but listen to this. Around the release of 3.15.20, Glover talked about wanting to create a Bible. I think 3.15.20 was the first part of that. Part of the very limited promotional material for 3.15.20 was a big mural, sliced into four parts. I think that means 3.15.20 was one of four parts to this “Bible.” 3.15.20 follows someone who’s partner is killed and they have to go through the grief of that. I think this next project, “Atavista” is the second part to this. Also Human Sacrifice is on it so no matter what it is I’ll be happy with it.

I think I’m the last giants fan in the world to talk about it so I’ll say it, not a fan of saquon anymore. Loved the guy when he was with us and I understand going to get the bag. I’m not upset about that. I’m not even that upset he went to the eagles. He should go to the place that’s best for him. But to just throw away the team and the fan base that supported him so much for 6 seasons is wild. And I get it, for a younger generation of giants fans, he’s their version of Victor Cruz or OBJ. He was exciting and flashy, but very much like Odell, his teams didn’t win a lot. Between OBJ and Saquon they were in 3 playoff games. They won one of those. That is a 10 year span with only two playoff runs. But anyway, to leave like that and only give a half hearted thank you/apology, fuck that guy. He can go play 6.5 games in Philly before getting hurt like he always does and the eagles can just over pay for a running back over the hump. Him going there isn’t bad for New York.

Alright, so I was wrong about this season. With us probably going 5-12 it was yet another disappointing season for the giants. However, this is not like our other losing seasons with a high draft pick. Something is being built. It was very possible we ended this season with 9 wins. So many games came down to the last possession. If we had a real qb (not DJ or Tyrod) we are easily in the playoffs. Our defense made huge strides this year and Thibs looked like that monster edge guy he was supposed to be. Banks was solid, it’s hard to be a rookie CB in the NFL. JMS had his moments but also looked like a rookie. As long as we can get a new o-line coach, our line could look decent next year. If we go with a qb with that first pick (ideally we don’t have to trade up but we may have to), we could be a wildcard team next year. Keep Wink, Keep Dabs and keep Shoen. I even think we should keep Kafka. He was the qb coach with Mahomes, let him develop a guy like Daniels. I think that both the cowboys and eagles have better records than they are. If we can get a legit qb, we can compete in the division. This draft and next season will be the biggest test Shoen and Dabs have. It’s where we will see if they are gonna be able to turn around this floundering franchise or if they will just be another failed front office/coaching staff.

This is gonna be the place I post my football rants I think. It’s like shouting into a void, no one is gonna see these. When Dabs came in I really liked him but I didn’t want to be tricked like myself and everyone was with Judge’s first presser. I was caustically optimistic, but in reality I was so excited to finally have what seemed like a modern offensive mind at the helm. I was fully expected to be let down this season. I’m very much an optimistic fan and I think the giants are gonna win it all every year. Coming off of the horrendous double qb sneak I wasn’t at that level. But we had a new FO and a new coaching staff plus Thibs and Neal and all the rest of the rookie class. I was thinking we could be a 7/8 win team. I wasn’t too far off. I didn’t think we’d make the playoffs and especially there was no way to we’d win a playoff game; we did. DJ showed everyone that with some real coaching he can be damn good (if you were paying attention you would know this, he played alright his rookie year under Shurmer, while he wasn’t a great HC he was a good offensive mind). Give him some weapons next year and I think he solidifies himself as a top 15 qb, easily above the Tannehill line. This defense is young and will only get better. Get us a proper CB2 and some off-ball linebackers and we have a damn good defense. Evan Neal will continue to grow and develop and I think he’s gonna take that step next year. AT was terrible his rookie year. Anyways I’m just excited about the future of this team, in a few years the giants will run the nfce.

Ok so here’s the thing. Everyone talks about the dpi on the last play of the Giants’ game, but like are we all ignoring the fact that Kayvon got his eye poked. Like there was a missed penalty on the Commanders too. Then with the Illegal formation call the play before, dude was clearly off the line and when the ref said to move up we moved up like a tiny step. Gotta have 7 on the line. Also, if you wanna win football games, don’t let it come down to one missed call. Play good football and don’t leave it to the refs.
