No Clear Mind- Imaginary You
To talk with the imaginary you
和想像中的你對話
sunshine, we sit side by side
陽光 你我並肩坐著
You hesitate and move away
你猶豫然後離開
our eyes meeting frequently
我們的目光經常相遇
are not free...
並不自在
To talk with the imaginary you
和想像中的你對話
sunshine, we sit side by side
陽光 你我並肩坐著
You hesitate and move away
你猶豫然後離開
our eyes meeting frequently
我們的目光經常相遇
are not free...
並不自在

The Sorrows of Young Werther

Quote
But I would rather be horizontal. I am not a tree with my root in the soil Sucking up minerals and motherly love So that each March I may gleam into leaf, Nor am I the beauty of a garden bed Attracting my share of Ahs and spectacularly painted, Unknowing I must soon unpetal. Compared with me, a tree is immortal And a flower-head not tall, but more startling, And I want the one's longevity and the other's daring.
Sylvia Plath, I am Vertical

“I am proud of my heart alone, it is the sole source of everything, all our strength, happiness and misery. All the knowledge I possess everyone else can acquire, but my heart is all my own”

Annabel Lee EDGAR ALLAN POE
It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of Annabel Lee; And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me.
I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was more than love— I and my Annabel Lee— With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven Coveted her and me.
And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling My beautiful Annabel Lee; So that her highborn kinsmen came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulchre In this kingdom by the sea.
The angels, not half so happy in Heaven, Went envying her and me— Yes!—that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.
But our love it was stronger by far than the love Of those who were older than we— Of many far wiser than we— And neither the angels in Heaven above Nor the demons down under the sea Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side Of my darling—my darling—my life and my bride, In her sepulchre there by the sea— In her tomb by the sounding sea.

The Blue Bird
Gently, the blue bird set its tiny feet on that particular roof.
Bewilderedly, the cobalt feathered creature Looked down at the greyish concrete Looked up at the brownish sparrow in the air, Wondering why itself was so Different.
Frustratedly, the cyan fowl sighed and flipped its soft wings
Determinedly, the blue bird decided To seek a better place where it is As blue as itself is.
#poems#poetry#eng is not my first lang and it is my first try so please be gentle lol#words#bird#agnes and her words
