An Awkward Silence (Reading the Room)

One of the worst feelings-

in the world.

Is when people you have hurt,

but you try to make amends.

But-

I understand.

They are not obligated to forgive you.

But it hurts when you do spend time-

and there is that obvious awkward silence.

That everyone feels uncomfortable of your presence.

It makes me sad.

A bit mad

but

I understand I messed up.

I regret.

I maybe-

likely.

Don't deserve it.

But-

I wish at times people could forgive.

Because when I try.

Met with nothing.
