Where the crow sings

Feel free to reblog and like the poems I post. I don't mind if you do. If you also like what I do, feel free to follow as well. --- 'And I held the staff up high, magic swirling and ready to strike, and below I saw it, the evil eye. The gaze that burned and corrupted all. The eye of Beelzebub.'

"I think, I think, I think myself down into a chasm of phantasms. Where they come to me in the dark, howling, jeering, raising voices so I cannot think, only hear.
My mind a turmoil, down the drain of suffering like an empty vessel caught by a storm.
I cannot be saved, even as those I know send me ropes to life and line and all that they can do is but watch me drown as I sink further and further down.
Yet I still. Hold. On."

"Down the road we march away, never seeing, believing the terrors that come and may.
Hid behind their veil of valor, they come for us, the children they send to scatter.
Down alleys and corridors they herd them like sheep. Entrap, set in chain and burlap hat, dragging them away to fate of the enslaved.
Drag, dragging them down the halls. Walls, walls, alight with screens and static fiends.
Do, do as they all say. The government has come for you and you must do all they have said and will do one day.
To bend, to kneel, to accept. No tears. Even the constabulary has set your back to the whip and chain.
To bend, to break, to become but a drone.
We have to accept as our children's body lay broken for the governments sins, and us perceived to atone."

To put thought to words on a page.
All i have to say... I can't go this way.
I'm tired. I'm angry.
I am disappointed.
You in your ways opened this gap.
We saw the signs, yet none were heeded.
And now they come with hands in reach. They will take, and take. Because you never stopped them, but you only did yield.
Democracy only goes so far, when those in rule hold themselves to its law.
They do not fear you no more. De-clawed. De-fanged. Vulnerable for more.
To you i tip my hat and bid adue, for with liberty taken, well. Deaf ears hear no truths, eh?

To walk with feet steady once again, cane in hand, finger twirling it round and round.
The Prince of Metal finally stepped away from the stage. Life complete, given a final curtain call.
He had his days, had his moments.
No regrets.
So to the heavens and great beyond he walks yet again. A smile on his lips, a song in his heart.
He gave us an encore, and now the heavens gain one more to sing at the pearly gates.

"Bloody and bruised, a symphony of fists, a story of battles fought.
Sung by odes and favors of blood owed, my heart cries for an ax to hold.
Naught a cry for help, nor a whimper felt, but only a call for havoc and ruin, of my foes they will fall by heads hewn and strewn by what I'm owed.
No justice, no revenge, only a battle between men, so the gods can see that this rat found himself with his tax even and set."

"So many years passes by,
A change of seasons, of minds, of fate.
A poisoned apple you did partake, and now a mind dwindles to nothing but a passivity of a endless cycle, all to repeat, again and again.
You chose your methods, and your wishes to decay.
I bid you adieu. To the man i once knew."

"In the dark evenings they work and work, the dark of rain beating down.
No toil to dull to their reign, as one crate and container the marshal on with a crane.
Even in the dullest hours there is peace to find. As even the valleys choose just an hours breath, a bit of calm to find."

"In poetry my mind is racing. To find words to describe my thoughts, like wisps of clouds I'm chasing.
My love for you was once great and vast. Perhaps i loved simply too much.
My yearning made overflowing. By betrayal my thoughts overgrowing.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Thrice i ask for forgiveness, and yet i know my wants will never find an ending.
So to let go of vitriol and love, i write my thoughts like pen met upon a page.
Mayhaps i cherished you too dearly.
And in my folly i left anothers set to the path of rampage.
Jealousy harboured like a ship upon a port.
An open gateway to a heart already filled with vermin with festering anger as its cargo.
Nestled deep in a heart so angry, all i did was feed the flames, and all was seen was crimson."

"A poem for the struggling student.
A hope to gleam in darkest days and rumination.
For there is hope to gleam in work that is done. To lay your books aside when all you've accomplished is given its due time.
School is a process you have endured. Its halls and clamor of stressful social cues are over.
I know such things seem so far away. And the world seems vast in all the choices that are there. Dreams of accomplishment so far away.
But hold your head high, student fair. For you have only made your way through your junior years.
Take it slow, and don't be hasty, for there are tasks that need done, and rest to find is never easy.
So find a friend, take this in stride. Life is difficult already, when you don't take a bit of time."

"In deep blues I see, there she comes down from black seas. In fire engulfed she weeps, her crew stout and true, lost to where spirits never sleep.
Of a few that meet their doom, a few more find the safety of capsule pod, hope resumes.
Weak of body but firm in mind, a Pilot rescues all he can.
A leader She that comes to take Pilot true, a rescue she performs all too true.
A Captain she is, though not in name. As her prize of a ship sinks to a planet blue, the Captain finds she always sinks with her trusty ship, and waylayed crew."

"Even though i regret having met you, the time i had taught me many things.
Throughout the years we shared as friends, you taught me much wisdom of the hows of a toxic future with only lies and segregation.
I wish you luck in endeavors you pursue, but i curse upon you the inconvenience of never becoming what the vultures circle for, for it is a fate that is your due."

"Kobold hands, they reach out to the dawn.
From the black and cold, hear their call.
Bars of steel, chains of a thrall hold them there, slaves to the dark.
United their bonds bend, their slavers buckle as they are pulled down.
Their forms meek and small, but together they rise, and the dragon that kept them entwined, meets its demise.
For the kobolds all, both meek and small.
Yet tired they are, of abuse and their thrall."

"In danger and dark they wade.
Through old mildew and remains.
Of skeletons old they find. A sepulchre of doom awaits.
Adventurers bold come forth to danger. Lives in expense both dear and cheap in trade.
But once they return from dungeons deep.
All the treasures found are theirs to keep."

"And in the distance I saw them like one, amassing in one great wave of bodies like a tide.
They came at us like one, a swarm of a mind that knew only orders as they marched.
In that moment, I realized. For our foe was not of flesh and blood and with fears of mortal men.
They were Legion.
And we were but small ants in their way."

"When world has taken its last steps to breath.
Society set away in the hands of the ruin of catastrophe.
All that stood of humanity and its edicts, all fell away with rot, time and nature.
So the kingdom of man falls.
Not with a hurrah, but one creaking bridge at a time."

"I fell through that gaze,
eternal flame.
It came like a great tide,
wash away all that stands in its sight.
Like nails we are, hammered down, none standing out.
There is no you nor I left.
Only ashes scattered about, like the tidings of death."

"In my hands I have held you. A small form set to cradle in my arms.
I have seen one of each of you pass by with the years. Growing up so fit and strong.
Through the good and the bad, you have endured. I have not known or been able to reach out.
For when I held your forms small, the same promise passes by on my mind.
Of you i would protect with all my heart.
Of how i wish I could put to rest all your fears. For your Uncle is here, and he will keep all the bad and wipe away your tears."

"To the depths I drown, water encasing, the moon's crescent glow like a gentle halo.
A crown of thorns this silence, set ablaze with doubt and undeniable request for asylum. Why do you shun me so in your quiet?
I am sorry, I am sorry.
I have done you wrong.
For you encase me in a tomb, and lower me to the ocean floor.
For there is only silence."
