at this point I’m wondering if I’m breaking some rule I didn’t see

cause I asked some legitimate questions and those have been ignored (or again you might’ve not seen them )

I’m Not mad depsite how the text conveys it (yeah I deal with that a lot-) I’m just very VERY confused

was my OC not okay? I can change their story & behavior if needed from background serial “killer” to something different

did you stop doing the emoji thing? did you pick a name for that one puppet on the dress and i simply missed it?

i can’t improve where I messed up if I’m not given any context :(

also another question about the world itself

what’s the layout/map of the city/area

like are there any woods nearby or is it the type of city that pretty much never ends and someone could live there for their entire life and never see all of it

and there’s been a few locations mentioned (like a park & that outer space arcade/pizzeria ) and that’s why I’m curious

i doubt you’ll answer this one either but I may as well ask

Yesterday, I was out with my boyfriend and some friends, because it was a lovely day, and I needed some time out of the house!

When I WAS home, I was doing dishes, and working on other personal projects, unrelated to The Felttip Files... because my hyperfixation has not been ON this project, it has been on another project me and my friends are working on!!!!

Now, as much as I LOVE getting asks from you all, and love answering questions about the characters and universe, I... I'd like to ask you [and everyone else-] to be a bit patient with me-

I can understand getting hyperfixated on something, I really do. But I do have a life outside of this project, including alot of stresses, and other hyperfixations that prevent me from working on/talking about this project, sometimes!

Don't take this the wrong way, friend, but... you really need to take a chill pill- /lh

do other types of puppets exist

like marionettes or ventriloquist dummies

probably not given the whole muppet/Sesame Street type thing

but I may as well ask

ANYWHO!!

Marionettes and ventriloquist dummies do not exist in this universe, unfortunately...

Though, I HAVE debated it - as one of my favorite puppet horror medias has ventriloquist dummies [Hello Puppets, my dearly beloved~]. I did ultimately decide against this, though...

HOWEVER! Other types of puppets [other than your average Hand Puppet or Stick Puppet] DO exist - such as Sock Puppets and Finger Puppets! [Examples below...]

We may even have a few full-body Puppets? I haven't decided, yet... but the probability is strong!

Remember, I'm still working on character designs!~

Hi, thanks for the question!!

To put it simply... yes and no.

Every character is, in fact, a puppet! Humans aren't a wide-spread thing in this realm... HOWEVER.

There are two canonly human characters - The Creator, and The Narrator - two entities that are sort of regarded as gods!! ^^

The Creator is only really mentioned, being worshipped in a god-like fashion - whereas The Narrator is a constant throughout the series, interacting with Detective Jacobs and the others!!

"The Felttip Files is a puppet show, taking place within the made-up city of Felttip, Puppetsylvania!

The story revolves around Jacob N. Jacobs, a hardened and serious detective, who [unfortunately for him] lives in the city, amongst his colorful and often childish neighbors, who all put him through solving silly 'mysteries'.

Throughout the course of the story, he has to deal with many of these annoyances, while still trying to discover secrets and clues about a case he actually cares about. All the while, he's being trailed by his trusty dog, Watson, and his brand-new next-door neighbor, and self-appointed best friend, Sunny!

Hello Clown! I technically have two questions because I forgot to ask the first one when the ask box was open earlier!

1. Do you have any tips on drawing the puppets? I’ve been trying to figure out how to draw them but I’ve been struggling! :o[

2. I’m sorry if this one is an odd question, but would Julie or Frank ever like dressing in something outside of typical “gender norms” (for lack of a better term)? I’m just curious because Julie is genderfluid and Frank is nonbinary, so I wasn’t sure!

For the question regarding how to draw puppets, I made a little idea picture for you! Lots of the advice on here is regarding different features of the face and some on the body. Id say these are the biggest details you can add to a characters to make it look more puppety! Lots of these “rules” are more-so suggestions, you can do anything with puppets! Get creative!

You can do what welcome home has done so far and make a website! Maybe it’s from a case archive of a police office, but only one case’s link is open, the Felt-tip Files..it’s hidden away, with screenshots of characters and settings and a mystery to uncover..

OOOOOH... Oh that could work... hmmmmmm.. The whole idea I have is based around the idea of it looking like a silly goofy kids puppet show, which then slowly devolves into madness- Thoughhhhhh... an in-universe website COULD be quite interesting, in the meantime!!!~ 👀
