ATTENTION, EVERYONE!!!
Hello there, long time no see!
I've been deeeeeeep in the Transformers pit lately, very much engrossed in the afterglow of Transformers One. It was such an amazing movie, I highly recommend you check it out. You don't even need to be all that familiar with Transformers, it basically starts at Level 0 for newcomers and veterans alike. Also, it's its own continuity so there's no need to watch anything ahead of it.
My obligatory TFOne shill aside, I am in fact here with some minor DB news!
So, in case you're unawares, Twitter has become a flaming cesspool of madness right now. If you're not there at all, GOOD...stay away, lol. But! Lately, it's spiritual successor and far superior peer, Bluesky, is shaping up to be a much better version of Twitter. It's Twitter-esque in function, but with a tagging system that actually works and doesn't potentially hurt users via algorithm. It actually functions kind of like the tags here!
And particularly...a unique feature called feeds!
They're essentially topic categories, but some even function very specifically. There's one hilariously called "OnlyPosts" that gives you a feed of only posts, no reposts and I think no replies but I forget. You can either make your own feed—like for example, I have two on my profile for my Transformers AU posts and another for posts about my original world—but you can also add other people's feeds to your profile.
Like...the Dragon Booster feed I just made!
This link should take you straight to the feed, where you can add it as a selectable feed on your screen. Any posts that users on Bluesky make with either the term "Dragon Booster" in the text, or the tag #DragonBooster, will appear in the feed for you to peruse at your leisure. Right now there's not a whole lot of Dragon Booster posts on Bluesky, but there's no reason we can't change that.
To this day, I'm unsure if our increased activity talking about DB got the show on Prime Video in HD. But I'd like to say that we did, and we can also get some DB presence on Bluesky as well. Dragon Booster will never die, not if we're all stubborn as hell about it!
See everyone both here and there, and anywhere else we can keep the pressure up! Till next time, I hope everyone has a lovely and safe holiday season. <3
See ya on new years...next year is the 20th anniversary.

idk if you know anything about Pokemon but Koraidon and Miraidon from Scarlet/Violet straight up look like DB dragons (Koraidon in particular has big Beau energy)
Oh don't worry, I might've not made a post about it when they were revealed but I saw it too. In fact, it delighted me so very much it made me sad I never got Scarlet or Violet, lol. These guys have such DB energy, it's so fucking good...

I had a dream last night that there was an episode where Artha and Moordryd had to go meet some aristocrat or royalty type people, but something magical had happened which rendered Artha completely and totally mute. I remember Moordryd being impressed at how Artha learned to conduct himself in front of posh people, but also very disappointed that none of his sass or insults had the same kind of bite when Artha's response was always to glare at him in bitter fury.
Gonna answer your messages in order, lol.
That is a spectacular narrative that your dream drummed up, it honestly sounds like a great idea for an episode or a comic. Artha just rendered mute and standing there internally fuming cuz he can't say anything, lol. He's practically screaming in his head and losing his mind.
I know your dream just had those two, but I'm just imagining Kitt all but wanting to cry at the peace and quiet. Lance intentionally trying to provoke him with jabs that Artha can't respond to. Parmon is unclear, but who knows what he would do about the situation? Possibly ramble about whatever he wants to knowing that Artha can't tell him to stop, lol.
Beau would just snicker and chortle away like a hyena.

I just happened to be glancing at my YouTube channel's analytics, and got curious and scrolled through the likes/dislikes of my videos. Most of them have 100% likes, not because they're that good but just cuz they're not widely watched enough for dislikes if that makes sense.
But the Extended Dragon Booster theme?
...has one dislike...how much ya wanna bet it's Armaggedon? Cuz I ended two videos with him getting pwned? lol
#Val rambles#disclaimer: dislikes don't bother me#I am just genuinely intrigued that there's a dislike on the extended theme edit I made#it's fascinating!

I forgot Dragon Booster even existed for a few years, then one day it suddenly returned to my memory. On that day, I resolved never to forget it again and instead swore to do every little thing I could to keep it alive.
Never think you can stop making fan content for a thing.
I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:
you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.
a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!

What if some gear that dragons typically can't mag have hybrid versions for other dragons? So Pure White Gear a Black Dragon can't mag, but because of how important White Gear can be in some races there are hybrid versions, which are mostly White so that they can be functional, but have a mag spot of another color for the dragon to mag? Probably grey, since it's the generic color.
This is a very interesting idea, and I'm very glad you put it forward.
I will say, though, that Black Dragons can mag white gear. I only remember one example off the top of my head right here, but it is something they can do.

But you still present an interesting idea! And you make an excellent point about the disguised Wraith gear. In fact, it's not even just the gear that Word specifically made for Beau.
If you look at every instance of the Wrath Dragons, it's the same exact gear for them across the board.
This very much lends to your point that gear can either be given a separate function, seeing as how Word was able to adjust the operations of the ramming gear's head piece to do something else. Cuz normally the cranial aspect of Ramming Gear normally forms a sort of shield that the dragon can then use to safely bash into stuff with their faces with both minimal damage, and maximum effectiveness.
Word was able to alter that completely to mix with Black Draconium, and thus function as the mind control gear.
I do kind of wonder if what Word actually did wasn't so much using Black Draconium to perform Green functions. Seeing as how the cranial segment is what performs the Black Draconium function, while the lower half still retains the Green Draconium function, it’s more like he Frankensteined two different gears together. Green provides the armor and projectile, while Black provides the mind control. Both the natural functions inherent in the respective draconium colors.
The whole point of the different draconium colors is that certain ones can only do certain things, and that’s why mankind bred away from gold in the first place. Different colors have unique specialties that the others can’t perform anywhere near as effectively. One couldn’t expect orange gear to be as effective as balancing a dragon’s movements as blue gear is.
And there’s a common misconception with the dragon colors that “best gear matches” means that’s all a dragon can mag. This is actually not true, and it goes beyond just the fact that Black Dragons can in fact mag white gear. Brown dragons only have green, light green, and blue listed as best matches. And yet we’ve seen Rumbull, my dear Lonely Mountain of the series, having magged both red and white gear in the final episode’s drag-ball match.
I do think that how your concept would best work is if Grey Draconium could be used to augment gear certain colors can’t use to make it maggable. I can’t recall after midnight while finishing this post in bed on my phone, but I’m pretty sure Grey Draconium is maggable by everyone. Assuming that is correct, one could make blue gear mixed with grey, that would makeup for any lack of power output and then be safely magged by a green dragon.
This has all honestly got me wanting to make a master post listing gear we have seen dragons mag in the show. That way as comprehensive of a list we can get could be out there, to recall which gears we know they can and to ponder which ones they can’t. I’m pretty sure only “green can’t mag blue” has been clearly stated. We do know that one rando was surprised to see Beau having red, blue, AND white gear all magged at once, after which he magged on green and then a second red gear. It’s also worth noting though that all gear has levels as well as colors, and the rando was shocked by all the high level gear Beau had on. So maybe “best gear matches” just means “can mag higher levels of these over any other color”?
All right, ya got several paragraphs out of me and that’s all I’ve got for now! I feel like I tangented a bit here and there. But this is a very interesting idea you’ve brought up, and it does bear more consideration. Thank you very much for sharing it with me, it was very fun to ponder!

I think, if there was to be a reboot, I would like there to be more episodes focused on not racing. Which I get that racing is a key part of the show, and it can still be, but it'd be nice if there were breaks between the races to focus more on the story.
No I totally get what you're saying, though I'd like to imagine that the Academy series would've likely fulfilled this desire.
Though the Elite-Class is still race-based, it's also a school and particularly one that trains them in ancient martial arts. All those drag-claw techniques were meant to be taught to people there. And given the possibility of many new characters being introduced in a MASSIVE ACADEMY THAT GOES ALONG A VERTICAL TRACK THROUGH LAYERS OF DRAGON-CITY.
I'd love to imagine that it would be like Yu-Gi-Oh GX, with the Duel Academy. But obviously they duel constantly in that show, my point mostly being that the dynamics of the Academy could've lent well to shaking things up. There'd likely be lessons to deal with, physical training as well as mental training; and given Armeggeddon's rising threat there could be more combat over racing.
This is all a long-winded way of me saying that we may not even need a reboot to fulfill your wish! The Academy series itself could've been able to branch away from the hook of "racing terrestrial dragons" to "mystical/sci-fi warrior school with dragons". Which while racing would always still be at the heart of the concept, Academy could've been its way to evolve the plot some.

I thought I saw official lore once that dragons could speak, and had been bred to lose it.
Sometimes I can forget the deeper lore that comes from Q&A answers, but you are correct!
Humans in an attempt to control the dragons bred them to the (seemingly) mute state by dumbing them down for certain jobs and environmental needs as humans spread across the planet...well as far as humans know...(the dragons were actually willing to go along with this hoping it would avoid another war)! Remember, from "The Track of Doom" and "The Changelings" both Beau and the Orange dragons think in language. In the academy, you learn along other things, the language of the dragon which makes you and your dragon both far more powerful and dangerous! It wasn't a Scooby Doo choice, it was a harbinger of things to come, it's like when you and I learn the language of adulthood, we now have far more destructive powers at our disposal but only humans who balance both the purity and innocence of the dragon with the more advanced if you will, human aspects; can truly make the leap to leadership and greater balance and understanding.
So yes, dragons did have it bred out but they still maintain the capacity for it innately. The fact that dragons "went along with it" does make me wonder to what extent the breeding effected them. After all, like I mentioned in rainymeadow's question I queued up an answer for, the dragon council at the Academy is described as being a "silent" one. Which really makes you wonder if that means they regained speech, but choose not to speak in order to maintain the peace.

Consider: the oldest, wisest dragons have regained the power of either speech or telepathic projection of speech
This, one hundred percent this, just absolutely this right here.
I'd like to think that a part of Elite-Class training could be beginning to regain this ability, but that's up for debate. Meanwhile, I'll bet ya the Council of the Academy, which is comprised of dragons, deffo can do this. They're described as a "silent council", which either means they just don't make sound at all, or...they can talk but choose not to...

I have a question to ask. What draconium colour is the Leo/Lyon class dragons?
Also, I wish I can speak to StormRyda about being able to use the Leo/Lyon class dragons in my own fan-fiction, and also because I want to have my own OCs commissioned/drawn by her, please?
Nearly a year late, but here we are!
I'm afraid I haven't seen StormRyda draw something since 2019, even privately she hasn't posted any new art. I'm not sure if she draws anymore, if she still does it must be personally kept cuz I haven't seen it.
I will say, though, that while she made the templates the Class itself is my original class. StormRyda made the templates for me so those belong to her, but the Leo-Class was all me and she helped a lot with elevating my concept like she did. So while it's been way late by now, for the sake of you and anyone else reading, feel free to utilize the Leo-Class if you ever want to.
Their draconium color is Cyan, because if Light Green and Light Blue can be a thing, and also White, Grey, and Black? Cyan is just Light Blue but with a touch of green, so one would argue it's between LB and Turquoise, lol.
In fact...if I haven't done it already, I should share the characters I devised for the Pride of the Dragon Crew, the street crew of the Leo-Class. And if I have already posted them, I should reblog them and get them circulated again.
Maybe with how much I've improved at art the past couple years, I should even draw them for once since they're all still templates rn.
#Val replies#but no seriously#so long as you let me know you're doing it#I'll very likely approve of any use of my Leo-Class!#and of course any questions about them I'd be happy to answer#I miss my babies and I'd love the excuse to flesh them out more#Leo-Class#Cyan Draconium#Pride of the Dragon Crew#dragon booster#the queue is power

Rewatched dragon booster recently; so fun! Anyways, I was wondering about the black dragons Armeggaddon uses- are they pure black dragons? Or do they have some red/purple/orange in them based on their two-legged stature?
Thanks!
*blows dust off of this ask*
Don't know if you're still active, bud, but I'mma answer this for you and anyone else who's curious!
We're not 100% certain as to the nature of the dragons Armeggaddon uses at the end of the series to my knowledge. Unless something's been revealed while my back was turned, the best we have is an educated theory.
While it has been admitted by Rob that oftentimes background dragons were often random designs, these dragons aren't just any dragons. They're up front and a major facet of the plot, serving as Armeggaddon's new League of 8. But, you remember that time Word Paynn tried using an experimental method to forcibly turn dragons into Pure Black draconium dragons?
That model look familiar? >:3 The running theory is that some of these dragons didn't stay in the warehouse, and may have escaped. Either that, or a stronger possibility is that Armeggaddon, aware of Word's plans as he was, was ready to manipulate some of them from afar and drew eight away to serve his own purposes.
These guys are presumably pure, or at minimum dominantly, Red Magma-Class dragons. They do have a strangely unique design for Magma-Class dragons, though, especially compared to purer specimens like Wyldfyr or Phoorj. It's entirely likely that these guys have a good percentage of Psi-Class in them, and that may be in part why Word selected these particular eggs to be stolen and used. Assuming this was a preliminary execution of the experiment, Word would've likely started with a dragon with Black draconium in its system but at a lesser percentage.
So as you can see, while the base facts are pretty simple there's still no clear cut answer. The characteristic curse of Dragon Booster, aside from what Rob himself has graciously answered. That's the best that I have to provide in answer, however, and I hope if you're still around that my information was satisfactory. =3
Goodness knows that it was satisfying doing one of these again. Looking forward to answering more. <3

I’m posting this from work, but yo last night while I was getting some asks answered and queued I googled “dragon booster blue dragons”, right? It’s in the Google image search, and I happen to see in the search result my boy Purrseaus. At first I’m excited to see one of my OCs, and then I note what the website url was.
It was an image result from watt pad.
I don’t post shit on watt pad…
Someone made a character profile on the site for their “mystic booster”, and used my art of my boy as the dragon’s casual form. I’ve never received any correspondence from this person once. And furthermore, you wanna know what their mystic booster’s call is?
Release the myth.
To add insult to injury, the fact that they used Purrseaus for the casual form and not the booster form, especially given his backstory and why he looks the way he does. Sadly I don’t know how to report any of it, the only thing I found was to report whether or not “you are the copyright holder”, which? There’s a LOT of art from various places on that profile, I just own the one.
It’s so annoying…

I got a handful of asks answered and queued up to post according to my queue setting, but tis late and mesa got a day job in the morning.
I will say, though, got briefly emotional at having like...2 pages of asks in my inbox for this blog alone. No blog I've ever had has more than 1, my old main blog only did because I would save private ask responses from old friends.
Y'all are the best, I don't deserve any of you.
Have a good night, ya crazy kids. o7 <3

@saphira455 response in replies got too long for character limit, so here we are!
You're very welcome!
That is a very interesting thought, honestly. It is canon that gold dragons can mag all gear, and my personal theory is that it's because gold acts like the full spectrum of which all the colors are included in. But that does lend to the question, can it be used by the others? The lack of gold gear also makes this hard to discern.
I'll add this point: Grey dragons, the next color closest to gold, can mag all gear types. As well, grey gear…can be magged by all colors...so make of that what you will! <3
Currently on Episode 14 and of the opinion that Beau is amazing, lol. Keeps smacking Artha for me. XD
Honestly though, me and said friend along with two others are having fun building off of what we've all dug up to create our own version of the world to build storylines in and it's been so much fun!
Yes! Good! Loving Beau is always the correct answer, Artha is of course up to personal preference, but Beau Love is universal.
YES! ALSO GOOD! Go on and frolic! As someone who's entire creative style has been informed by Dragon Booster, from my writing to my art style, KEEP IT UP. The world needs more creative minds influenced by the stylings of the DB crew. Their legacy must live on, so I wish you and your friend all the joy in your work!
As you can see, this dragon god OC from one of my original stories is not at all inspired by anyone's magnificent chin. Nope, not in the slightest.
