The tiny, human stories that make up the world at large. They make me emotional, they are the reason why I think about the game so much. I have a problem with wanting to cry but being unable to, and I broke a half year long streak of zero tears thanks to the Lotus and the complex web of familial relations she's in, with the Operator, Hunhow etc.

That's why even though we don't understand the details of the world and it's history (with a capital H), we have too many unanswered questions to count, we have mostly vague answers, it still feels good. I don't get frustrated because the devs didn't explain to me how everything works like I'm 5 in some random codex entry. I'm immersed in the world and I'm hungry for more of it, but it's the characters that I love and cherish that keep me satiated and coming back for more.

10 Headcanon Questions: Operator Version

I didn't think I'd make one but as always, I am bored and I leave stuff for you folks to do whilst waiting for PAX and Tennocon 2025.

1. Who is your Operator? Did they leave their old name behind and picked something more appropriate for themselves?

2. During the Old War, what were they and what was the Warframe they were assigned to? Yes you can make yours the operator behind the ones that have lore (like Nezha or Ash)

3. Which Tenno school defines your Operator and why? Zenurik? Madurai?

4. Did they have friends or close relationships with any other Tenno? Yes you can use your WF friends you know.

5. What role did they play during the Tenno Insurrection against the Orokin?

6. Why did your Tenno go into the Second Dream or was yours awake for much longer before it?

7. What is your Operator's Warframe of choice and why?

8. Do they side with any of the Faction Syndicates like Steel Meridian/New Lola/etc?

9. How different are they from the Drifter

This is pre-Orokin extermination, but like, this is what leads to it. We're here on tau (how the fuck did we get there, what do you mean thats a chunk of the zariman, im sorry did the tenno on the ship rip open a hole in the void to get out or something??? Was it wally???) and we're still orokin happy.

Since there was war mentioned, likely initial meeting between these incredibly traumatized void powered children and the sentients Didn't Go Super Hot, or, alternatively, this is after the sentients came back to the origin system and the warframes were sent off to Tau to exterminate the sentients. Either way, theres clearly two sides, orokin enjoyers and orokin haters.

Dax have been canonically forced into servitude via kuva, so I'm not surprised that the moment they get distance and freedom they Do Not Want In On That Situation Anymore. Since theres someone trying to convince us that the Orokin be fucked, that makes me think that either, a, they convince the sentients, and thats what causes war to break out again, or, my preferred option, b, they do manage to convince us and thats why we head back, go "all killed, boss :)" and then exterminate the orokin. So nobody will ever be their servants again, so forth.
