Made a cute little ornament with their paws because I got overwhelmed trying to figure out how to story and getting behind on it did not help, so yeh. The red paw is Everest's and the purple one is Ebony's

Currently they were lounging around watching the television, Ebony curled up in a ball in the woman's lap as Everest sat beside her, purring softly as she ran her fingers through his fur. Breathing slow and gentle as he drifted in and out of sleep cuddled up beside her. After a few moments he jolted slightly, the woman turning to look over, "What's wrong bubby, are you alright…?"

She asked as he rubbed his eyes, "Mhm….Just a nightmare…"

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"…Mm…I…I-I dreamt that…we found you but…you wouldn't wake up…an-and I didn't know what to do…"

He mumbled softly as she frowned, curling her arm around him and offering a gentle squeeze, "I'm here sweetheart….I'm not going anywhere. Everything's okay…"

"Promise…?"

"Promise."

It had been a few days since the blizzard. Their mom was getting use to dealing with less mobility but it was something they were gradually understanding more as the days went by. Quietly they snuck into their mom's room, setting something up quietly at her desk before floating over to shake her awake.

"Nn…Everest…? What's wrong bubby…?"

She mumbled softly as she rubbed her eyes and looked toward her little prince, "We made you breakfast mama! I dunno if it's good….but Violet helped us!!"

He said rather brightly, the woman looking up to see the meowscarada in the door holding a small smile. Slowly shifting to sit up, looking towards her desk. Smiling weakly seeing the plate of pancakes and bacon, "Oh you two didn't need to do all that…"

"We wanted to! We like seeing you smile mama!"

Ebony cooed brightly as Bloom walked over to help the woman over to the desk as she laughed, "You two are far too sweet….thank you…"

She said gently, carefully sitting down with a hum, opening her arms as she looked over at them, the two quickly flying in as she gave them a big hug, "I love you two so much…." She said gently, holding a smile as she held her little ones close.

As he reached the vehicle he attempted to pull at the door with as much might as his little arms would offer, Ebony moving to join him as he pulled and pulled. They couldn't quite see inside, ice had about frozen over the glass and it was just a figure….and he could see red…and it made him scared. Really scared.

Eventually throwing his coat off as he morphed into a liepard, biting on the doorhandle and yanking back as hard as he could. Chipping his tooth as the door finally snapped open, throwing him back. Rolling into the snow, licking the tooth and scrambling to his paws as he returned to his normal, floating quickly toward the now open door. And there was mom, blood dried on her nose with a cut on her forehead and closed eyes, "M-Mom!"

He cried in panic as tears welled up, moving to sit in her lap as he started to shake her. He was a young kid, he didn't know what to do. Ebony watching from the sidelines as she frowned, scared. Watching as her brother seemingly useless shook her. She couldn't help but believe the worst, that their mom was gone, that they were just alone. But then the woman coughed as her brows furrowed.

Everest froze, watching with bated breath as she moved, reacted, she was alive. It took a few moments before she seemed to shiver as her eyes slowly opened, blinking weakly as she saw the white fluff on her lap and chest, "P…Pri…nce..?"

She asked, voice quiet and strained. His eyes brightening as tears welled in his scared eyes, moving to tightly wrap his little arms around her neck, "You're alive, you're alive, you're alive!!"

He chanted brightly, rejuvenated knowing she was okay, or at least he assumed she was okay. She was awake! She had to be okay! Weakly the woman shifted, wincing as pain shot up her leg, "I- oh where am I…How…How did you find me, I-…Y-you shouldn't be out here…"

She half rambled as she looked around, briefly noting Ebony standing in the cold, gesturing her over and quickly scooping her into her arms to hold her as her little princess began to cry in her fear. Gently shushing her as she looked at Everest as he began to speak.

"We got worried so we came to find you because you were taking too long and you would've called by then but you didn't so you were in trouble and we had to go get you and-"

"Bubby, bubby, bubby, I need you to slow down…"

"You didn't call! And we were worried! But we found you so now we can go home!"

"Bubby, sweetheart, do you even know where home is??"

"I..well…n..no..B-but that-"

"Oh Arceus, Everest you should've stayed home!"

"But…y-you were in trouble…a-and we need you.."

He croaked weakly as his ears pulled back. Their mom sighed as she brought a hand to her head, rubbing her temples gently, "I know you meant well but this isn't good, we can't be out here in a blizzard….We'll all freeze instead of just me…"

"I-It's okay….we can find home…T-together…"

"Honey I'm not sure I can get out…"

"Why not?"

"My leg's pinned here….I'm stuck."

He seemed to hesitate as he stared at her leg, frowning a bit. Looking around a moment before looking at where her leg appeared to be pinned, closing his eyes as he focused. Making a hum as a faint blue aura covered the front of the car, creaks of metal echoing as he desperately tried to help. The red-violet haired woman watching with wide eyes, up until her leg was free enough. Trying to move it only to wince in pain, grabbing her pant leg as she swung it out with a yelp, the other, much less pained leg following suit. Heaving heavily as she sat there, whimpering as Everest turned to look at her. Watching as huffs of warm vapor appeared after every exhale.

"M-mom….? Are you…okay..?"

He asked weakly as she turned his direction, staring into his worried pale blue eyes, "I…N-no….b-but I will be, little prince…I-I will be….B-but we have to get home…"

She dug around in her pokeballs for a moment, eventually pulling one out as a luxray touched snow. Carefully the woman pushed herself out of her seat, wincing in pain as she half stumbled onto the luxray as he moved to help her stand. Frowning as he helped push her onto his back, "O-okay…c-c'mon kids, get up here with me…L-Lux, try and take us home…okay..?"

The large feline gave a gentle trill in response as Ebony and Everest settled in front of their mom. Ebony offering sniffles as Everest moved to wrap his little arms around her. Listening to the sound of their mom coughing once again as she shivered. But they were together…..that was all that mattered….He was just happy to know she was okay…that she would be okay…They just had to get home. And he believed Lux could do it. This was certainly an adventure he never wanted to repeat. He couldn't wait until they all got home and he could snuggle up in his mothers arms..Listen to her heartbeat like he did when he was younger.

They tried to fly, but it was a futile effort, they weren't strong enough against the wind. Ice and snow sticking to their fur as they attempted to make some kind of leeway through it all. At this point Everest had elected to press on with all four paws touching the ground, his sister following suit.

"MOM!"

He yelled helplessly into the cold winter, reaching out with more than just his words but there was nothing…no answer, no response….it was just cold…With the only sound they could hear being the harsh brush of the wind.

Eventually they found a small overhang to hide in, warm up if only a little bit. Pulling his little sister close as he shivered. Listening as he heard the small sniff as she weakly clung to his coat, "Hey, we'll find her…we have to…m…maybe uhm…you could try that teleport thing? You use to do it all the time for hide and seek…"

"I-I don't thin-think that would work…I-I don't know where we are….I-I don't know where mom is….I…I d-don't know where home is…"

She said rather sadly as she shifted again. Everest only offered a gentle sigh as he looked out into the cold. He sat with her for a while, holding her close as they shivered. Shaking his head slightly before giving a small huff, moving to get up one again and head out into the cold. He had to find her….he had to find mom…without mom, there was no home…because she was their home. Even if she wouldn't tell him what they were….he still loved her. He still needed her. He was just a kid…they were just kids.

It was hours as they wandered, stubbornly he continued despite how futile it seemed. Despite how exhausted Ebony was getting…

She sniffed, "E-Everest I…I think we should go back…I….I-I don't think we'll find her…"

"Don't say that, we'll find her."

"B-but-"

"Don't argue with me!"

He growled out as he looked at her, his features as cold as the snow around them. And he faltered, seeing the upset in her eyes as tears began to fill her vision.

"I-…Ebs I-…I didn't mean…"

She sniffed weakly as she looked away, lifting a paw to rub her eye, not answering, not saying a single word. He stood for a moment before letting out a sigh, turning his attention away, "Let's just keep going."

Wordlessly she followed, but he could feel the hurt emanating from her as they trudged on through the snow. Endlessly, helplessly looking for someone they didn't know if they'd find.

But then they saw it. A car. Her car, smoke billowing from where the engine would be. His heart sunk as he lifted from the ground to fly forward, Ebony close behind as he yelled for her name.

Was she okay?? She had to be okay… ----------------

Eyes drifted back and forth like a pendulum as the fluffy white pokemon watched his sister pace to and fro. An excessive groan escaping him as he flailed his arms in annoyance, "What are you even doing! All your pacing is giving me a headache." "Mama's not home! It's been hours! Th-th-the snow is getting worse, we can't even see the trees outside the window anymore! Wh-what if something happened? We should go find her!" "What? No! Are you crazy, we'll get ripped apart out there. Ebs, think, how are we suppose to even find her? It's a blizzard out there. We don't even know where she went, we just know she took the car. Besides, she has her team, she'll probably be home any minute." "But she would've CALLED by now, wouldn't she?" She pleaded with fear-filled eyes as her brother sighed, shaking his head lightly as he looked away, resting his head on his paws atop the couch, "You're such a worrywart...It'll be fine. You need to relax. Take a nap or something, we'll probably see her when we wake up." She huffed, rolling her eyes lightly as she frowned, pouting slightly, "Whatever...you never listen to me anyway..." She grumbled out, quickly going to run off to her room as he lifted his head to speak, his maw ajar, Tsk, why'd she have to be so dramatic?

Everest frowned as he sat atop the couch, staring out the window. It was dark out....Ebony was right, it was getting too late, she would've called by now. Something was wrong...He gave a long sigh as he moved to get up, floating off up the stairs, up to his room as he quickly dug through his things. With all his rustling and moving about, sad green-yellow eyes meekly peaked around the doorway, "Everest....What're you doing..?" She asked gently as he paused to look her direction if for a brief moment as he returned to what he was doing, "Nothing, go back to your room." "Please don't treat me like I'm dumb..." "I said go back to your room" The fluffy white creature about hissed out. Her ears pulling flat as her big eyes grew sadder. Frowning as she slowly slinked back, hesitating before quickly running off to the kitchen as quickly as her four little paws would take her. It took a few, getting prepared. Gathering his coat his mother had made special just for him. Pulling it on and buttoning it closed as he donned his little red beanie with holes specifically for his ears. Grabbing his bag he quickly filled it with things as he moved to throw it on and quickly dart down toward the door as he reached for the knob. "I'm going with you" The small voice croaked from behind him, and he hesitated with his paw on the handle, waiting, as if she'd go away if he stayed for long enough. Inevitably turning to look back. Seeing her standing there on her little hind legs, fiddling with her paws as she wore her own purple coat and purple beanie. A bag resting against her back. He sighed, his features softening as he turned to her, moving into a hind-leg sit as he reached his paws onto her shoulders, "You need to stay here" "B-but wh-" "I know you're scared, I know, but you need to stay here. If mom comes back you need to be able to tell her I went looking for her, and she'd kill me if you got hurt. I need you here, Ebs. I'll be okay." "N-no! I'm-I'm not letting you-you go alone, I won't be left a-alone-" "Ebs-" "No! No Everest! You're not doing this, I'm going with you! You can't force me to listen to you! I'm either going with you or you're staying here, with me." He sat there for a long moment, his eyes holding a mix of unreasonable emotion. His head hanging as he gave a sigh, shaking his head before finally turning to look back up at her, "I need you to stay close to me at all times, do you understand?" "Yes..Mm...We could get rope....tie our coats together..." "Yeah...yeah that would be a good idea, go find that-" He started, watching as her eyes narrowed before she squeezed them closed and moments later some rope popped into her hands. His ears flattening as he partially glared at her. "You aren't leaving me" "Yeah, I got that." He said with a roll of his eyes, carefully taking the rope as he moved to tie their coats together. After a few moments he ruffled her cheek fur as he gave a weak smile. She was so annoying but...he loved her. His dumb, needy little sister. "Are you ready?" He asked gently as she offered a small scared but determined nod, "Alright...Let's go find our mom" And with that, they were out the door. Out of the safety and warmth of their home, the place they'd always known. Into the blistering cold as night covered the already hard to see horizon. Longest one so far I think! I'm doin dah thing!

Pale blue eyes stared quietly out at the window. Listening to the gentle tap, tap, tap as rain hit the window. A small sigh escaping the feline, taking a moment to look to his left at his darkly striped sister. Her head buried into his back as his tail rested around her. Ear offering a small flick as he watched her chest rise and fall with every breath. He smiled faintly as he watched her. She was annoying, yeah. But she was his sister, he'd protect her no matter what.

A small trill slipping out hearing footsteps behind him. Head turning to look behind him in a silly, upside down manner. A small chuckle escaping a woman with red violet hair as she slowly made her way over with a tray of snacks, "Would you like a cookie, my sweet prince?"

"Mm...yes ma'am."

He said gently with a smile as he opened his maw as he awaited his treat. The woman only laughing lightly as she placed the treat in his mouth. The pale feline turning his attention back to the window, carefully enjoying his snack as he watched the rain once again. He was almost shocked it wasn't snow. But it was comfortable....it was cozy. Noting the click of a remote as the TV came on.

Giving a small hum as he ate the last bite of his snack. He truly wondered what was so scary out there. What was so dangerous that he was never allowed to leave without his mother....he didn't understand. Would he ever...? At least he knew he was safe here....it was home. Slowly moving to rest his head on the window sill as his eyes slowly blinked closed. Maybe some day he'd find out.

"Everest!! What is WRONG with you?! You know mom tells us to stay inside. why are you out here?!"

The snowy white feline only scoffed with a roll of his eyes, just continuing his trot deeper into the woods, "I don't know what your problem is. It's just a walk, you didn't have to come."

"But I don't want to be alone!!"

She whined, a hoarseness to her tone as slight tears welled in her yellow-green eyes. Standing still as the tall Espeon turned his attention to her. His words failing as his features faltered, pale blue eyes darting off to the side as his chest briefly panged with guilt, "Ebs don't-…I-I didn't mean…"

He started only to sigh, quickly trotting closer to her as his form shifted, melded. Small arms pulling her close as she hiccuped and cried, "Y-you always do this! Ru-run off and…a-and leave me behind! M-mom says it's dangerous an-and you always ignore her…"

"She doesn't tell us anything…She won't even tell us what we are, just that we need to pretend to be something else….and I'm sick of it. I like the way I look as an Espeon sure but I want to know what I am! What we are! And she's never going to tell us…"

"Y-you don't know that.."

She stammered with a small sniff, her long fluffy tail swishing in the snow as her paws wrapped tightly around him, "D-does it even re-really matter what w-we are..? We're safe…a-aren't we? A-and mom adores us….sh-she just wants us safe…"

He took a moment before letting out a long sigh as his ears pulled back, a small frown on his features as he stayed quiet for a long few moments.

"I know.."

He said, finally, after an extended stretch of silence, "It doesn't make it any less annoying…But…I know…Quit your crying….let's take a little fly…okay? You're too dark for the snow anyway."

She gave a small sniff before mumbling a tiny little, "Okay" as he moved to let go, stepping back slightly as he took her little paw in hers before moving to fly off into the trees, pulling her right along with him. Everything would be fine…as long as they were together.

So! This was my first attempt at properly starting a story! If people have questions, feel free to ask! It'll more then likely take a bit for me to properly get into the groove of writing these characters or writing long stretches of proper story in general ^^' Everest and Ebony will be the main characters, brother and sister Mews who hide as Eeveelutions. I'm undecided on whether Ebony hides as an Espeon to mimic her brother, or as a umbreon to opposite him. Feel free to offer your own insight!
