Headcanon that Dani and VR-LA make up the craziest things when anyone asks them what kind of things they did before Finbar joined the crew. Some things they say say are so outlandish they have to be false, but some things are just realistic enough that Finbar is scared they might be true. And they are so in tune with each other too. One of them will start telling an absolutely bonkers story that has to be made up and the other will just agree and add in things so well it really seems like they’re remembering a true event. They even sometimes make references to crazy things that happened before unprompted, and Kyana and Finbar are very concerned. Any time someone asks if they are lying they, without fail respond with “idk what you’re talking about, I’ve never lied in my life” Kyana and Finbar have no idea this whole thing is a joke or not

The Ghost of Us by James L. Sutter

This was SUCH a good book.

I found the first little bit before Cara and Meredith went on their first date a bit average. A combination of Cara’s attitude/outlook and Aiden’s ghost banter made me unsure if I was going to like this one.

But as we get to know Cara, everything about her starts to make so much more sense, and we get to see her grow and change with Meredith. And without Meredith, too. Her lightbulb moment towards the end about the kind of person she wants to be and the kind of life she wants to live was so great.

Meredith’s grief over her brother was palpable and painful and beautifully, delicately written. It was hanging over them everywhere, yet happiness managed to shine through.

I ended up really loving Aiden and Cara’s friendship, too. They really started to care for each other even if they were rubbish at expressing it at times. It was lovely to watch it unfold.

I can’t recommend this enough.

You can teleport one (1) single individual live seagull into any time or place in history. Where would you choose to put it to best fuck with peoples' heads and cause as much confusion as possible?

I'd pick Tutankhamun's tomb, just behind the sealed door, 30 seconds before the seal is broken and the tomb is opened. Imagine throwing that into the curse myth - just as these people are about to crack open the greatest cold one in history, knowing that this is what they'll be known for from hereon, they open the door that must not be opened, and out scatters a frantic, deeply baffled bird, entirely healthy and intact, fluttering away never to be seen again, with no apparent way of how it got in.

Okay, so a month of fixing my 3d printer later, I am finally ready to pay Hero Forge 20 bucks to let me have the file for this beauty, so that I can bring it into phyiscal existense and paint it oh so pretty (eventually) Because of that last part, all the colours are merely illustrations of intent, but especially ignore the poncho - the colours on the site just bugged out on it for some bizzare reason and I couldn't be bothered to fix it since it won't matter in the end Credit to @narnianvalkyrieofberk for providing the inspiration and proof of concept, as well as generously sharing the actual file to give me a much easier jumping off point. (I was originally just going to do a couple minor adjustments for printability but then got carried away with the detail work)
