You take control of a powerful metahuman, an otherwise ordinary human on the outside, but who has the meta-gene, a potent mutation deep-embedded in their DNA, which gives them superhuman abilities. This next step in human evolution comes with a setback, however, for the curse of madness seems to follow their every step.

With a dark and traumatic past filled with untold horrors and inhuman experiments, you are rescued from the clutches of crazy terrorists by a team of heroes that might lend you all the tools you need for redemption or complete self-annihilation.

As the only metahuman with the ability to wield the powerful Chaos Magic, your very blood holds the answers to unlocking the secrets behind the control of time and space, but it has the drawback of being almost completely volatile.

Who can you trust to keep you safe other than yourself? Trust no one, and maybe you can get out of this literal hell alive.

Play as male, female, or non-gender specific, along with transgender choices;

Romance one of seven characters, and if your heart is big enough, fall in love with two of them. There’s three possible poly routes available: Archon and Stardom, Archon and Mars, Paladin and Wildcat;

Customize your appearance, personality and powers;

Struggle against the shackles of madness trying to take hold of your psyche;

Battle a multitude of villains or become one yourself;

Uncover the secrets behind the meta-gene and your abilities;

Help the public fall in love with superheroes or forever destroy that chance;

As I said above, there’s currently seven love interests and three possible poly routes (Archon and Stardom, Archon and Mars, Paladin and Wildcat).

The villain, or anti-hero, whatever you want to call them, Mars is an enigmatic figure; the very concept of life seems to hold no value to them. A trail of bodies follows wherever they go, and on the news, they are regarded as the biggest menace of the century. They will have the unique ability to sway your loyalty. Beware, their sweet words and promises may drip with honey, but they also drip with the blood of their victims.​

Trope: Forbidden love, emotional scars, blood-play

Zev/Zena Hammer

The oldest of the bunch and not a metahuman per se. Hammer acts as the spokesperson for the team, mitigating the often tenuous relationship between humans and the so-called “mutants”. As a retired police detective they’ve learned firsthand how rotten the world can be for the innocent, and they’ve vowed to protect them at any cost. Their analytical and communication skills will go hand in hand when dealing with various crimes, just as their implants.

Trope: Widow/widower, age gap, don’t-call-me-daddy/mommy

Adam/Ava Armstrong

The current leader of the Alliance Team. Headstrong and dauntless, they are regarded as the strongest metahuman in modern times and the most enigmatic of them all, whose past is shrouded in mystery and unknown even to their closest friends. On the outside, they might seem apathetic and unconcerned with human suffering, but their true feelings are hidden beneath layers of deep trauma. Superhuman strength and invulnerability are their greatest assets when fighting villains.

Trope: Nobody thinks it will work, love/hate, fucking-your-boss

Edward/Evelyn Osborne

The former leader of the Alliance Team and Archon’s best friend. On the surface, they are the stereotypical showboat: cocky, greedy, and egoistical. Stardom does whatever they can to gain attention, fame, and riches. For them, the best feeling in the world is an adoring fan and a beautiful person fawning over their heroics. The meta-gene gives them a genius-level intellect, which in turn is used to develop several pieces of equipment that are employed by themselves and the team during fights.​

Trope: Billionaire, belated love epiphany, good-people-have-good-sex

Johnny/Johnnie

If Archon’s past is shrouded in mystery, Paladin’s is drowned in it. For all you know, their name is not even Johnny/Johnnie but an alias of their choosing. They are known to be the silent loner type and are somewhat socially withdrawn from other members of the team, only speaking when called upon to do so. Behind their silver mask, they harbor more than a few inner demons, and together with their superhuman weapon and combat proficiency, they fight for the innocent.​

Trope: Secret identity, oblivious to love, weapon-play

Pedro/Pilar Flores

The youngest of the team, considered by many a lighthearted jokester without any real talent beyond their obvious powers—which set them apart from every human that walks the earth. With their metahuman status so evident for everyone to see, hiding just didn’t seem like an option, so they chose the next best alternative. Known to be playful, energetic, and often immature, they are responsible for balancing the team’s more serious side, and when someone can take the form of any living being on Earth, the repertoire of pranks is endless.​

Trope: Beauty and the Beast, broken in some way, begging

Doctor Malik/Malika Aziz

The renowned Doctor Aziz is a famed archaeologist and considered to be the most powerful sorcerer, or magic user, in the world. They wear several enchanted artifacts that, in turn, accentuate their already tremendous knowledge of the mystical forces. With an extremely strong moral compass and kind demeanor, they will show themselves to be the best teacher you could ask for, but why do they seem to be everywhere you look?

Trope: Time travel, twin siblings or clones (?), teacher-student

Nope. Chamion refers to this mysterious mortal simply as "Old man." Thanks to their status and place of residence, Marcel pretty much stopped aging when they reached adulthood. And How dare you? Marcell would never, alright!? 😁

I played the update and I really liked it! It was nice having our Death and Eoin finally meet. I appreciate the somewhat meaner options to Eoin being available but I just can't be mean to them!

The new Sol content was also pretty good, I liked him just barging in to the Underworld to see his buddy. Does lover!Sol do that too? Or is it just a friend Sol thing?

On a more serious question, I saw the ask about Death and Sol having kids. Personally I would prefer that not be the case, but if you want to go that route that's totally cool! I'm just wondering, in the situation you do it, could it be something the reader decides?

On a more fun note, will we get to pet the kitty?

I must say, even though the choices may appear mean, Death is not actually that mean toward Éoin. Their possible animosity is just the result of two thousand years of torture, you know.

Barging in the Underworld was more of a Friend!Sol thing to do. Lover!Sol would more or less have more contact with Death, so they wouldn't need to resort to such tactics to see them. Talk about being a clingy friend, uh, Sol...

I failed to say that having kids with Sol or any sort of kid will be optional. I wouldn't force that on the reader, or Death hahah. Rest assured, no surprise pregnancies here.

Oh, dear chubby Sophie is a very well-mannered lady. She will be happy to be patted by Death.

How observant is Sol of Death’s emotional and mental state, in the case of a Death who either can’t seem to expression how they are feeling or one who hides it, if they are on the romance route? Before the imprisonment.

Both are very in tune with the other's emotions. Sol can easily sense Death's feelings, and if your Death is frustrated by their inability to express themselves, then this is a good thing. In their relationship, words mean very little, tbh. 🤷‍♀️

That would be pretty awkward, huh? Considering Quaboth is Death's little brother. Though I should mention, major deities don’t have siblings in the same way mortals do—Hulda and Helmos are the exception, being twins. They don’t share blood or physical traits from their parents, but their bond is purely platonic and could never evolve to something romantic.

But a platonic relationship can be just as fulfilling. There will be plenty of opportunities for Quaboth and Death to bond 🥰

Hello, I'd just like to say I absolutely love your game! It's been such a long time since I played it, both because of schoolwork and because I simply couldn't wait to read everything and decided to wait until it was done so I could buy it all at once. My willpower didn't last long, though, and I found myself playing again (somehow it's even better than I remember, but now, as Tumblr says, I'm gnawing at the bars of my enclosure 😅 I need to kick everybody's ass and give my Death their happy ending 😭).

I also wanted to ask something: is it possible to kill the gods with a very kind Death? I choose that my Death wants justice, both because I think that she deserves it and because I see her as someone who cares about humans a lot and wants to free them from the gods' whims and corruption, but is it possible to attain that justice, killing them and remaining kind? I also want to kick Sol's ass, ngl 😅. I decided he was her former love and I want to romance a mortal, so I think going back and being like "I crushed the sunstone because you betrayed me, but now I love someone else who's also a "mere mortal" and don't really care about you, btw I'm killing you now because I think you're corrupt and mortals deserve to be free, bye bye 😁" would be peak revenge.

I was also thinking if it would be possible to kill the gods and preserve balance? Maybe taking their powers away, since Death can manipulate souls, so there's no anthropomorphic incarnation of these phenomena like there aren't of Time and Space (also turning them powerless would be awesome, even if Death doesn't take their powers for themselves, making them suffer is always better than just killing 😈, but I swear my death is kind to those who deserve it haha). It would be a bit hypocritical to be the only god left when Death thinks they're corrupt, so giving up their dominion to live a mortal life besides the ro would be soooo cute 🥰. On the other hand, the fact that the mortal ro's will die is so deliciously angsty, so Idk. I'm mostly rambling because I want an anarchist (or would it be atheist?) Death 😅.

Anyway, sorry for the long ask, it's just this is the WIP I'm most excited for and nobody I know plays IFs so I can't talk their ear off about your game because they don't get it 😭. Also, I'm aware that my questions may involve spoilers, so it's okay if you don't want to answer them. And yes, you can enact revenge on the gods and even kill some of them and still be kind toward other people or in general. Once Death kills a deity, their dominion simply loses its divine manifestation. That dominion can be passed to another, already living deity, but that is extremely rare. For a deity to acquire a new dominion after birth depends on various factors; one of them—at least in Death's case—is to completely immerse themselves in that fundamental aspect.

More than that is just too spoilery, but I love your thoughts on the story!! 🥰🥰

You misuse “Éoin” pronouns throughout every part of the story their in so, their POV and when they meet death. When you should use “her/him” you put “she/he” things like that for example; “Him said etc…” it really kind of messes with the flow of the reading. Usually a couple errors here and there don’t matter to me but when they’re happening after EVERY sentence it’s a bit off putting.

Those typos have already been fixed. Check again.

Hi! Loved the new part of the update AND the added details ❤ A lil question: is Death and Sol possibly having a kid still a thing, or was it scrapped? Since as a parent myself I feel like I'd be first concerned about my children once I'm out of an abyssal torture chamber\before I am about to be plunged into it, and not my sus sister, or a random kid I met eons ago, even if they were praying to me (I understand that they are not a rando, but I assume still below an actual child born out of love in a list of priorities, no?) Also, I feel like if Death and Sol had any kids, wouldn't the twins at least mention them to rub it in?

I think I haven't reached a decision yet regarding Sol and Death having children. As of now I'm still pondering about it, but it's a strong possibility since Death can have children under certain circumstances. I'm leaning more toward an only child or twins, but no more than that.

Oh, and Marcello/a isn't just a random kid. They are either Death's adopted son/daughter or their protégé. Keep your eyes on them in the future...

ASDFGHJKL I LOVED THIS UPDATE SO MUUUCH!! I mean, I love any and all updates, but this was so satisfying. I loved Death getting to meet E finally! Honestly, could not find it in me to be anything but caring with them (even though I'm personally doing the madness route, I couldn't even pick that option either...)

I sincerely cannot wait for more interactions between them (and the beloved kitty, who's meowing commentary is hilarious <3)

Yep. Sol's companion is named Fiery, and they are similar to a phoenix. If i'm not mistaken, you get a glimpse of them if you choose the best friend!Sol route.
