Not to mention how anxiety has become more of a joke in society than anything and referencing it casually like “literally having an anxiety attack rn” in conversation and on social media

there is a very real tendency of teenagers with anxiety disorders self diagnosing with considerably more stigmatized and impairing mental illnesses (e.g. schizophrenia, DID, personality disorders), but the best response to that isn't to get angry with them for "appropriating" lol. instead you show them coping resources for the problems they're actually having and deemphasize diagnostic categories in general. if an 18 year old is claiming to have alzheimer's, they're probably making an innocent mistake and are in genuine distress. be kind.

I do not usually make posts like this but recently I have seen a lot of content on Instagram, Twitter and I think tiktok too misunderstanding the meaning of intrusive thoughts, which may cause people experiencing them to be upset.

I have tried to shortly explain the difference of impulsive and intrusive and hope it will help people to understand and use the words correctly.

I have not been on this site in forever but I read a Dean x reader fic like FOREVER ago and I cannot find it for the life of me. I think the first word of it was like dear something. It was a military au series and it was SO GOOD, and Dean nicknamed the reader Bambi. Also the plot was like the reader was a girl who joined the military and had to pretend to be a boy. Anyway it was really really good and if anybody knows what I’m talking about it would be very very much appreciated

Don’t just accept the new Terms of Service

Tumblr’s at it again, thanks to the new European Privacy Laws. There’s probably nobody who will read this, but it pissed me off so much that I decided to make a post about it. (Ignore the weird language mish-mash, depending on your country the language might differ.)

OK, so many of us get this screen when we try to access our dash:

Realise how the ‘OK’ button is a nice, attention-grabbing blue? If you’re like me, you’re not exactly into reading a 100 pages document and tend to just click it.

My tip? DONT. Instead click on ‘Manage Options’ right next to it:

Still pretty harmless, right? That ‘Accept’ button is looking really attractive right now. Instead, click on Verwalten (Probably something like ‘Manage Options’ or something in english) and you’ll get to this page:

Now that’s not too bad, right? I just switched all the buttons to ‘off’, because I’m jealously guarding my personal information and don’t want Tumblr to go off and do who knows what with it. Looks like we’re done! But wait: There’s a SHOW option.

When we click on that one, what we will get is this:

A HUGE list with OVER 300 ENTRIES of companies that can use your data by default if you’d just clicked ‘OK’ on that very first page. Coincidence that this list is hidden that much? Me thinks not. They’re all switched on by default, but I am still a petty bitch that doesn’t want to give out her data, so I switched them all off. All 300+ of them. There is no option to switch them all off at once, and even if you disable all the options above, the companies are still switched on.

(If you wonder how i got that number, I copied the list into excel and looked at the cell number. No way am I actually counting all those entries)

If any of you who follow me who also follow my normal blog @crim50n-r8er they would know that I have an idea for a show of three high school boys getting isekaied in a D&D world.

Well, I think it’s about time to design the main cast, and what better way to do it with my followers? The method might be a bit cringy, but I feel it best to get something interesting

Let’s start with the “leader” of the group. Please note that the red text is the stuff I already settled on.

Dental emergency! Links below.

So I’ve started a GFM for the outstanding bills going towards fixing a completely rotten tooth and reducing my chances of further complications ($3000 for ER, approximately $3000 for extractions). Unfortunately, I’m uninsured and I do not have the money for paying them up front like they require. And so I reach out to you, tumblr, to pass this along and help me fix my face. If I get more than enough for the dental work, it will all be going towards textbooks and transportation so I can get my associates.
