Worldbuilding Wednesday - Forests and Woodland
How much woodland and forest is there in your world? Is it virgin, or damaged but now protected? Is it managed and therefore rather artificial, or is it gradually (or not so gradually) being destroyed?

Flamingo Lake
It was a pleasure to paint using these colours and I'm looking forward to making something else like this - but why, oh why did I forget the water reeds' and flamingos' reflections?

Culture Tuesday - Friendship
Most cultures have their own take on the concept of friendship. Some may think of it as a pleasant state of being with another person whose company they enjoy. Another may see it as vital socialisation practice, while a more warlike society may consider it allyship building. What role does friendship have in your story's society?

Tech Monday - Energy
POWER! What resources power your world's tech? Burning coals, solar panels, split atoms, magical runes? Tell us what makes your tech tick! Perhaps you might even want to explore the history behind why that form of energy is the dominant one - it won't always be a story of pure logic, with people doing a reasonable cost-benefit analysis. Are the people clinging to the old ways, like we on Earth are with fossil fuels, or are they so excited about the possibilities of a new form of energy, they don't stop and question its safety, like we did with nuclear?

Creature Friday - Cooperative Creatures
The natural world is a network of species that interact in various ways, but there's more to the ecosystem than predator-prey relationships. Many of them cooperate, such as humans and wolves, bees and plants, or honeyguide birds and honey badgers. What cooperative relationships exist in your project's natural world?

Worldbuilding Wednesday - Weather Events
Some seasons may be so intense that they have a lasting impact on the world: tornados and hurricanes can flatten entire portions of forest, while a particularly severe drought may kill of the local wildlife. Monsoons may create more lakes or shift the nutrients on the surface. How have weather events changed the face of your world?

Culture Tuesday - Private Ownership of Property
Society can be organised in a number of different ways, particularly with regard to ownership of property. Who owns the house a given person lives in? Do people share tools, vehicles, or other useful items, or do they keep them to themselves? Does the concept of personal property even resonate with the people you're developing? Perhaps no one person owns an item, and it can be taken at any time, because what's community without sharing?

Fireflies - Full Picture
An older picture of mine. This was my first unplanned picture, and once I'd drawn it I realised I didn't have much variety in terms of tree type, so this got me wanting to practice making different trees, hence my "10 Tree" ref sheets.

Tech Monday - Zeitgeist
We've talked plenty about how your worlds have developed their technology, but how do the inhabitants FEEL about that technology? Are there individuals or groups who malign new developments? Are there eager young inventors out there hoping to make new breakthroughs? Are there any new ideas or discoveries that've become fads? (Looking squarely at you, radium toothpaste/springwater)

Creature Friday - Chocolate
While a good number of plants have been cultivated and made into household favourites - coffee, apples, and wheat as examples - few have become loved with the fervour of chocolate. It has been used in ceremonial drinks and is a legitimate birthday or Christmas gift in its own right. Does chocolate exist in your world, and what do the people think of it? Is it legal? Is it safe? If you don't have chocolate in your world, what's the nearest equivalent?

Worldbuilding Wednesday - Fire
Today's subject is fire. Fire has a huge impact wherever it goes. It's often considered to be a catastrophe, yet some plants rely on it to successfully produce the next generation. What's the impact of fire in your world?
