I also need to mention his child, Issac. This made me f*ing cry. Cad was born as an orphan, only finding comfort out in the streets with only one friend. Lazlo, acting as a surrogate father figure/mentor to the boys, sparks their - well, Cad’s interest in money, the only thing they can use to get human needs. The boys are separated by the law, Cad running into the shuttle due to fear and flaire from the idea of credits. He grows up surrounded by a man who only sees living life as a business opportunity. It’s in Arin, his girl, who treats him like a normal person that sparks the human side of him that is slowly shown in the CW and BB. She is everything to him, the symbol for his humanity, yet he cannot shake the feeling of who he is, whose he’s meant to be. Lazlo is dead and when Cad goes to foolishly take revenge on the man who raised him, he loses the girl he loves in his arms. He’s not even given a moment to take revenge in hatred and saddeness. He’s taken away as an unknown prisoner in judgement.
When he comes back to his home to find his girl, his beautiful last string of humanity, she’s gone. Dead, not from a blaster wound, but merely passed away without any purpose. Niro killed her, killed him/his humanity and he will not let anyone take his place again. He kills Niro, the person who’s been by his side since the death of his parents. He watches as his own son cries upon the dead body of his adopted father and look at him with tears. He cannot look into the eyes of his child, the one he and Arin created and comfort him. Cad can never forgive himself and the world will never let him. He knows that his son will grow up hating him. If even a child, an innocent child can look up at their father and see a murderer, a killer and a monster, what point is there is even trying?
This is why he never takes another person’s emotions into his heart, why he focuses on himself and his pride. He was given an opportunity in a sick world that only wanted him dead to have a future, live and one day, die against a beautiful sunset, soul content and he couldn’t take it. It was his pride, his arrogance and his purpose that broke him. If that is what matters, then he will make sure that is all that matters.
Tales of the Underworld Was Amazing…
Remember when I said I would love it no matter what?
Well I do!
I cried, I pondered and I even laughed at a few moments! Ventress was great - enjoyed her story! I’ve never read Dark Disciple, but I wish they could make a prequel series of that to explains why Ventress is dead set on Quinlan Vos! You have the story, just put it to picture! Lyco, he was okay! Just another annoying young kid with little manners and somehow gains Ventress’ respect. Like, throw him off the camel, Ventress…whyyy.
We know who the star of the show is though…
Tales of the Underworld Episodes 4-6 brought us what I think is the most unique story we’ve ever gotten. A 3 act structure following Cad Bane’s fall to villainy that felt like a classic spaghetti western series with an unfleshed out intimacy that could have definitely been shown more if this was a Bane series, but it’s okay! His relationship with Niro was great, his….
HIS….
Yeah…maybe figure it out when you see it. Pay attention to Bane’s friend in episode 5, how she’s holding herself when walking into the door. I noticed that immediately. This also ties into the ending!
The story is great! I was a little lost by the narrative, but rewatched it and now understand the purpose! It may not have the time to explain everything, it does a great job with keeping you engaged! Corey Burton is great once again as our gunslinging anti-hero. There’s another hat-welder in this series who serves as a Lee Vanth Cleef that inspires Cad. I always wondered if Cad watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as a child, saw Lee and said, “Hey mum! Find me a hat, will ye? I’m growin’ up in style.”
While this both added new details, actually copied the exact last frame of Part 3 of my series - which is clever! It fades out before it stops, almost showing that “hey! His journey isn’t over yet!” and unfortunately messed some things up, it was still a fantastic watch! Now I need to figure out whether or not I should stick to what I built or use Tales! The goals of being a writer, am I right??👍
Once again, this inspired me to write! So, thank you Lucasfilm and May the Forth Be With Everyone here on Tumblr!

My Final Prediction for Tales of the Underworld:
I’m not going to watch it until tonight, so NO SPOILERS PLZ if you guys have already watched it!
So, I analyzed the trailer and many information one last time: Tales opens on Episode 4: Cad being hired on New Tayana (the reign of kidnapping children continues) to find a kid. While on the Ghetto, we see him get reminders of the past until we are whisked away into a flashback when Bane comes across Niro once again. The flashback? I don’t really know what’s going to happen, it could be a couple of things, but here’s what I got:
Episode 5: We see his childhood, growing up on New Tayana similar to Vi and Powder in Arcane. The two friends, Cad and Niro spilt up, with a timejump. Niro has become the Marshall and Cad Bane, the love of our lives will be taken as a married man.
Dang.
He has a kid. He loves and protects his child. Niro wants revenge for whatever Arcane situation happened. So, with the droids seen in the trailer, Niro marches to the Bane home, sets the building on fire and fishes out Bane’s wife and child. He takes the child away just as Cad arrives. Niro and him have a fight, fire is blowing, etc, shooting up droids, when Niro shoot Bane’s wife down. We see him hold her in his arms, with her begging him to “let this go” from the trailer. She dies in front of him, with him standing up and attempting to go after Niro. The guards take Bane into custody, where Niro says, “This revenge? I hope it was worth it.” Cad replied, “It will be.”
Episode 6: The flashback ends. Bane meets with Niro again to have their final showdown. This is the tip of the mountain, the last hope for his humanity. But, he doesn’t take it. Bane and Niro’s shootout turns into a chase with ends with Bane killing Niro. Bane takes the kid to the clients, tipping his hat and walking away, tears in his eyes as the last drop of humanity is sucked out of him.
That ending was okay, but it’s a theory! Even if it sucks, I’m still going to love it and go into it with an open heart!! SO EXCITED!💙
One last thing: I made a playlist for Mr. Bane in preparation for Tales of the Underworld with a bit of my own spin:

WE WERE ROBBED!!
Thinking about this scene from Dark Disciple where Quinlan Vos sees Ventress in a new dress:
He gulped in air and said, “I…you look…”
Emotions flitted across Ventress’s face. Annoyance, pleasure, and something he’d never thought to se there — embarrassment.
“Go ahead, spit it out,” she muttered.
“You look…”
Like a goddess of love and war and hope and ecstasy. Like a glimmering star that I have somehow been blessed to hold.
Like the rest of my life.
“…nice.” He wanted to kick himself

#tales of the underworld#star wars#dark disciple#asajj ventress#quinlan vos#give me a classic Hollywood romance version of this and I will bawl my eyes out#they deserve each other#Quinlan Vos is a simp

I feel like they’re gonna break out hearts…
It’s been a roller coaster of sad cowboys. First Joel’s golfing match and now this?!
Not sure how we missed this but there's another trailer with additional footage, including a never before seen female Duros begging Bane to "let this go."

He's standing very close to her, whoever she is
She looks sick or malnourished?
Or ... she's wearing smokey eye makeup ...

Okay - I locked onto this the minute I saw it.
To start, her “makeup” looks almost like red bags under her eyes. Notice the slight discoloration? It could be a cinematography effect to make the scene feel more dramatic. This could also be the blood rushing to her eyes - which wouldn’t make a lot of sense, but it’s a theory. I also caught onto how tired she looks? I know she flinched when she said “You have to let this go”, but she didn’t move a lot. Speaking of movement and holding another,
This is clearly Cad:

He’s wearing the same orange outfit and hat that we saw previously:

You can see his thumb on her sleeve (maybe, I couldn’t tell if it was blue) + the way his arm is positioned under her to hold her up, this could be a death scene. He’s looking down at her so she’s either petite or is laying on the ground. Based off of how the scene is shot and the amount of movies where a character dies in another’s arms etc:
This could also just be him about to go after Niro for (unknown reasons) when she pulls him back, staring into his eyes as she explains, “You have to let this go.”
We will all see in two days - not ready to cry!
Can I also mention this?

You know what I thought of when seeing this?

Is Cad watching his kid through a glass window or is this him having a vision of himself?
