my incomprehensible tolkien ear chart. differentiation mostly based on proximity to each other, and most orcs having been made from the early Avari and Nandor. I imagine these developed at various times. Biggest pet peeve is when people equate the presence of pointed ears with immortality or when they signify a half-elf choosing mortality by having their ears physically change.... why would that ever be the case
