as a non native english-speaker who read six of crows when i was still a bit too young to have developed coning vocabulary i felt very validated when wylan asked « who’s mark » because i was wondering the exact same thing.

Holy fuck that actually brought tears to my eyes.

the thing is that childhood doesn't just end when you turn 18 or when you turn 21. it's going to end dozens of times over. your childhood pet will die. actors you loved in movies you watched as a kid will die. your grandparents will die, and then your parents will die. it's going to end dozens and dozens of times and all you can do is let it. all you can do is stand in the middle of the grocery store and stare at freezers full of microwave pizza because you've suddenly been seized by the memory of what it felt like to have a pizza party on the last day of school before summer break. which is another ending in and of itself

I finally started the baby beginning step of sketching out the base for top part of the dresser.

But I partially feel like I should scrap it and draw the crow this way…anyone have any thoughts or opinions? I might be asking the void here.

I do this often but it’s mostly because I’m using voice to text. My thumbs don’t want to type all of the time anymore.

I need some ✨motivation✨ right now to start drawing the designs for my SOC/CK themed dresser.

I’m still not exactly sure how I want to do the front. Or what quotes I feel like writing out. There’s too many good ones.

Which I’ve already decided I’m doing the top of the dresser more simplistic (probably just a crow, some poker chips and dice). Then I’ll do more of the symbols on the front of the dresser.

((If someone has suggestions, please throw them my way.))
