Australia is currently petitioning to make it that all gender confirming surgeries for transgender individuals are covered by Medicare. This is absolutely huge as surgeries are super expensive even with private health insurance.

It doesn't ask for an address or phone number or anything so I think anyone in the world can sign for it? But I'm not entirely sure.

EDIT: yeah you gotta be a citizen, so if you're outside the country, if you could reblog this to reach more Australians, this would be amazing!

If you haven't heard about that before, it boils down essentially to Enbridge, a canadian company, building a huge pipeline to transport tar sands and endangers around 200 bodies of water which is a HUGE violation of the treaty rights of the Anishinaabeg of the areas they are drilling and EXTREMELY harmful to the environment. These pipes have not been finished and they are already leaking into bodies of water.

They are LITERALLY ILLEGAL pipelines but in response the gov is instead trying to make it legally sanctioned for police to kill water protectors. PLEASE at least text to that number to let your representatives know this is something they should oppose because their constituents [you! Me! Us!] oppose it. And if you live in the areas being drilled, and are able to do so, please go show up and back up the indigenous people protecting the land and water. I know they could also do with monetary support if thats something you can spare. Thank you

Simply put, France does not like the hijab.
