THE AUDACITY OF FAITH
Keys to faith 6
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
Are you a lion or a snail's eyeball? Think about that for a moment. Snails have eyes that poke out extensively. But what happens when you touch a snail's eyeball? It retreats and sinks inside the slimy flesh. But no, not the lion. Touch the lion, and you know you will probably touch down in heaven soon.
The lion roars at the sight of a challenge! It relishes obstacles.
A man full of God's word is like a lion; he fears nothing. He doesn't turn away from anything God has assigned to him. No amount of persecution, insults or failure can stop him. This is what the Bible says about the believer.
"...but the righteous are BOLD as a lion" (Proverbs 28:1 KJV).
It was Richard Cecil who once noted that unbelief trembles at the shaking of a leaf but faith laughs at the shaking of a spear.
Boldness is inside you. Stir it up by meditating on the word of God and roaring it forth. Speaking in tongues very often is a surefire way to quicken boldness. Do not be afraid of wolves, for the greater one is inside you. Love endures, but faith dares! Dare your fears today.
Further Studies: Acts 4:13, 31; Ephesians 3:12; Hebrews 4:14-16; Philippians 1:14.

Today's Melody🎵

You Are Faithful
Symphony of Love Series
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
This is a piece that was sung spontaneously at the Bethel Church by Amy Miller during one of their services. It's all about the faithfulness of God.
In Genesis 17:5;15, God changed the names of Abram and Sarai his wife to Abraham and Sarah. The meaning of Abraham was father of a multitude.
But how can Abraham be the father of many when he had no son? Virtually impossible, isn't it? But faithful is the one who has promised (Hebrews 10:23).
At ages one would least expect to have a baby, Sarah bore a son. Hallelujah! Indeed the Lord is faithful.
His faithfulness still holds for all who put their trust in him.
Though it might tarry, but know that our God is not a man that He should lie. In His time, He will make all things beautiful.
Hold fast to God's word. He's never failed and He's not going to start with you.
youtube
Thought Provoking Verse:
You are faithful
You never give upon me
You are able
To finish all you started in me
You are stable
Through all these changes that this life can bring

Mary Slessor
Knights of the Kingdom Series
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
Mary Slessor lived from 2 December 1848 to 13 January 1915. She served as a Scottish missionary to Nigeria. Her life is celebrated on a Scottish £10 note issued by Clydesdale Bank.
Mary Slessor was born in Aberdeen, moving to Dundee at the age of 11 in 1859. Her father was a shoemaker who lost his job due to an addiction to alcohol and eventually found work in Dundee's jute mills. Mary's mother was a strongly religious woman who ensured that Mary attended church and that she kept up her education by attending school on a half time basis, after family circumstances meant Mary also had to start work in the jute mills. By the time she was 14, Mary was a skilled jute worker, now working from 6am to 6pm each day having finished her formal education.
In 1876, at the age of 28, Mary applied to be a missionary with the Foreign Mission Board of the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland. She received training in Scotland before setting sail on the S. S. Ethiopia on 5 August 1876, arriving in Calabar in south eastern Nigeria just over a month later.
The country she found was in a state of chaos. The colonial power, Britain, had seized control, but was more interested in the maintenance of trade than in the welfare of the Nigerians. The slave trade was still a recent memory in the country, and infanticide and human sacrifice still took place. Women's rights were next to non-existent. And disease was rife: Mary herself suffered from malaria.
Mary's determination steadily won her the respect of the Nigerians she came into contact with. Unlike most missionaries, she lived among those she worked with. She became fluent in the local language, Efik, and developed a deep knowledge of local customs and culture. Eventually the regional Governor offered her Membership of the Itu Court. Mary also adopted a number of local children rejected by their parents: twins were considered at the time in Nigeria to be cursed, and could even be sacrificed as a result.
By the early 1900s Mary was helping vaccinate Nigerians against smallpox. But she was also suffering from increasingly severe bouts of malaria.
Mary died on 13 January 1915. She was given a state funeral in Nigeria and in 1953 her grave was visited by Queen Elizabeth. To Nigerians she is simply remembered as "Mother of All The Peoples."
Inspiring Quote: Why should I fear? I am on a royal mission. I am in the service of the King of kings.

THE EYES OF FAITH
Keys to faith 5
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
Faith sees differently. Faith sees an ocean in a drop of water. It sees a mountain in a grain of sand. It sees giant trees in small seeds. It sees light in darkness. Faith sees possibilities, and it speaks possibilities. When men say there is a casting down, faith says there is a lifting up.
Faith trains our minds to see beyond what our optical eyes can see.
Remember Abraham, God told him "as far as your eyes can see." God did not only refer to his optical eyes. He wanted Abraham to see with the eyes of faith and to possess nations in his vision.
"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV).
Faith specializes in seeing the unseen and making it a reality.
When Joshua saw the walls of Jericho, he saw victory. When Jesus saw the cross, He saw glory. When Paul saw trials, he called them our light afflictions!
Every challenge is an opportunity to reveal Christ. We are like olive fruits; the more we are crushed, the more we reveal the oil inside of us.
The more you grow in faith, the more your eyes are anointed with eye salve that you might see the unseen and birth it.
What can you see?
Further Studies: 1 Corinthians 2:9-10; Revelation 3:18; Genesis 13:14-16; Hebrews 12:2.

FAITH WORKS, EVERYTIME
Keys to faith 4
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
The doctors had given up on young Kenneth. Having developed an incurable heart condition, his situation was so dire that the doctors had condemned him to death. Even the pastor of the Church had asked his mother to prepare for his funeral. Everyone was ready for his death, but not Kenneth.
His grandmother, slipped a Bible into his bed. With the little strength he could gather, he began reading the Bible settling eventually on Mark 11:22-24.
"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:23-24 KJV).
He meditated and acted upon the Word. At first, it didn't seem to work but after a few days, his whole body became whole to the shock of everyone. Kenneth Hagin was a great man of God whose life has influenced generations since.
The Word works if only you can put it to work. It may be immediate, it may take a while, but the word certainly works! How does faith work? Very simple. Find out what God says about the situation and act on it.
Where can you apply your faith today?
Further Studies: Mark 10:52; Matthew 21:21; Romans 4:16-22; 1 Corinthians 2:5.

PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING
Keys to faith 3
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
The orphan children were ready and dressed for school. There was only one problem: they had no food to eat. George Muller asked the housekeeper to arrange the children (300 of them) at the table. Knowing God's word concerning their situation, George sat with them, prayed, giving thanks to God.
Within minutes, there was a knock on the door. It was the baker and he announced to George that God had led him to bake bread the night before for the orphanage. Not long after, the milkman also came knocking. He said his milk truck was broken and he wanted to give the milk to the orphanage.
That breakfast became a celebration of God's goodness. George Muller lived a life of faith, prayer and thanksgiving. He took care of over 10,000 orphans during his lifetime.
The prayer of faith is that which is prayed on the basis of what God has said. Faith, prayer and thanksgiving are power triplets. Thanksgiving is an expression of our assurance in God's word. Once we ask according to His word, we are rest assured He will fulfill His word. Thanksgiving then becomes a lifestyle.
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us" (1 John 5:14).
Further Studies: 1 John 5:5; James 1:6-8; Mark 11:24; Matthew 17:20.

FAITH IS GIVEN, FAITH COMES
Keys to faith 2
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
Doctor Luke tells us a story in the 17th chapter of his book, where Jesus was teaching his disciples. In the midst of His sayings, the disciples, probably overwhelmed, requested of Jesus to increase their faith. Surprisingly, Jesus did nothing.
He only told them the benefit of having faith...
"And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you" (Luke 17:6 KJV).
But why? Faith doesn't come by impartation or a seamless transfer of the anointing (except for the gift of faith). God has so designed it that faith would come by us hearing and growing in the word.
Each of us has received the measure of faith, which comes when we are born again.
"...according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith"( Romans 12:3 KJV).
However, that faith can grow in leaps and in bounds by our conversation with the word of God.
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"(Romans 10:17 KJV).
God expects us to grow our faith by studying the word of God. Do you have a Bible study plan? How often do you dine in the scriptures?
Have you studied the word today?
Is your faith growing?
Further Studies: Matthew 9:22; Luke 12:28; Romans 1:17; Romans 12:3.

Let Your Moderation Be Known
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
I bet you've read Philippians 4:6.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
But, many have not taken notice of the verse before (verse five).
"Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near" (Philippians 4:5).
The NIV says "gentleness," but the KJV is perhaps a little clearer: "moderation."
Let your moderation be known.
Moderation refers to self-control.
Don't be shy to let everyone know about your moderation.
For instance, if you go out with friends, don't hide the fact that you're a Christian.
If they are doing certain ungodly things, don't join them. Rather, let your moderation be known.
The last part of the verse says, "The Lord is at hand."
The reason your moderation should be known is that the Lord is coming soon.
The more conscious you are of the Lord's coming, the more moderate you are.
Further studies: James 5:8; Titus 3:2; Hebrews 10:37; 1 Peter 4:7.

Consistency
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
If you want to get better at your walk with God, consistency is the key.
For instance, it's better to pray 15 minutes a day than to pray for two hours each week.
God wants us to walk with h
Him daily, not in spurts.
"But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin" (Hebrews 3:13).
Once you develop a regimen, stick to it daily.
Pray daily.
Read your Bible daily.
Make confessions daily.
Thank God daily.
You'll begin to see the compounding effect of consistency when you start doing things daily.
Consider medications for health. They are often given on a daily dosage so that they will have the desired effect.
The story is the same with your walk with God.
Are you consistent with God?
Do you do things daily?
Further studies: Psalms 27:4; Proverbs 8:33-34; John 8:31-32; Acts 2:42; James 1:22-25.

Develop a Regimen
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
Every good Christian should have a regimen.
Regimen? Yes!
A regimen, according to the Oxford dictionary, is "a prescribed course of medical treatment, diet, or exercise for the promotion or restoration of health."
In other words, a regimen is a course of action you follow each day.
Another word for regimen is a routine.
What is your morning routine? Your answer to that will determine your accomplishments in life to a large extent.
Don't let your morning regimen be scrolling through social media.
Rather, let your morning regimen focus on taking care of your body, soul and spirit.
Start with spending time with the Lord. Read your Bible and talk to the Lord.
Let mediation be part of your morning regimen.
Also, bodily exercise is a good regimen to keep you healthy.
Start practising a regimen for the next 30 days and you'll be amazed at how your life will change
Further studies: Ephesians 5:15-16; Psalm 90:12; John 9:4; Proverbs 6:6-8.

Listen to Sermons
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
This morning, I want to recommend an activity that can help you grow quickly: listening to sermons.
Of course, listening to sermons shouldn't replace reading the Bible and going to church.
However, sermons from biblical preachers will help you grow your faith.
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).
The good thing about sermons is that you can listen to them on the go, whether in a bus or on a walk.
You'll be amazed at how much wisdom and grace you'll enjoy as you listen to them.
We recommend you look for sermons that relate to what you want to learn or what you're going through.
Don't listen absent-minded.
Instead, listen with rapt attention and take notes.
Listen to sermons as though you're in the service.
Pray along and sing along if you have to.
Further studies: 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Luke 11:28; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 4:12-13.

Change Your Playlist
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
As a Christian, what you listen to will determine whether or not you're growing.
Remember, whatever you're hearing or watching is feeding you -- whether you know it or not.
Here are the words of Jesus...
"Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you–and more [besides] will be given to you who hear" (Mark 4:24).
In other words, be very selective of the things you hear.
Start with the songs in your playlist.
Stop listening to ungodly songs that don't edify you.
Some might be your favourite songs and artists, but your walk with Christ is more important.
Look for godly Christian songs that are based on scripture.
Let those songs be your go-to for wisdom, strength, and encouragement.
Let those songs minister to your heart, and you'll be amazed how your life will change.
Further studies:Luke 8.18; Philippians 4:8; Job 12:11; Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:2.

Dealing With Trauma
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
If you've been carrying trauma for many years, I wrote this devotional for you.
I don't know what your trauma might have been. It might have been physical, emotional or physchological.
First, I need you to know that it's okay to be hurt. It's okay to cry. It's okay to be in pain. But don't stay there. Know that healing is available.
Jesus came to heal your broken heart.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3).
The word 'heal' means to release you from the pain and hurt.
To get your healing, it's important to get closer to the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is called the comforter. He is the one who can bind up your wounds. And the Holy Spirit can also lead you to a person who you can speak to to get help.
Once you begin to do that, you'll find yourself healing from the pain and getting better by the day.
Further studies: Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 53:5: Jeremiah 30:17; John 16:7.

How to Enjoy Peace
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
Peace is the birthright of every child of God.
If you're born again, you should enjoy peace everyday.
Peace in you mind, your heart, your life... just name it.
Jesus gave us peace as our inheritance.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, nor be afraid" (John 14:27).
It is His peace, not ours. In other words, you have the same peace Jesus had.
But how do you enjoy the peace?
Jesus has an answer.
_"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33)._
The more you immerse yourself in God's word, the more peace you enjoy.
Have you read the Word today? Why not add some peace to your life?
Further studies: Philippians 4:6-7; Isaiah 26:3; Psalm 23:4; 46:1-3; 55:22.

Better a Patient Person
🛐🕯️ 🍽️📖⛪️ 🍯🛐
One of the clearest signs that someone is walking with the Lord Jesus Christ is Patience.
The Bible says a patient person is far better than a warrior.
"Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city" (Proverbs 16:32).
For context, warriors were the prized possessions of the day. But the Bible taught that a patient person is much more valuable.
Patience is the ability to wait with peace and joy.
Patience is not to be worried about things.
Patience is to have complete trust in God.
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes" (Psalms 37:7).
Patience is to get a grip on yourself.
Patience is to be in control.
In fact, the secret to self-control is patience.
As you step out today, I have a question for you.
Are you a patient person?
Further studies: Proverbs 14:29; 25:28; Habakkuk 2:3; Galatians 5:22-23; James 5:7-11.
