i think my favourite college memory has to be the time i out-pretentioused my film analysis teacher. For our final we had to write an essay on a film of our choice and he said “Pick any film, whatever you choose i’ll know it.” in a very pompous manner. I ended up picking one of my favourite films, The Kid Detective, which he had not heard of. I then had to explain to him in front of the entire class that just because the word “kid” was in the title, did not make it a children’s movie.
