fun news~ another event on the books! this month, sunday july 28th from 11am-4pm at lucky dime i will be with the lovely folks of mystic market! the seeing stars will be keeping an eye on you to make sure you show up 👀

it's R&D o'clock 'round here! i've told myself for *literally years* that i wanted to come up with my own pattern for a big stylized, cartoonish, plush human so that i could make custom dolls for folks at a more affordable price point than the larger realistic ones i'm still prototyping. then it hit me the other night...why the hell have i not just DONE IT? so i did it. 🥰 there will be more revisions and i'm still learning my sewing machine, but i am so stupid giddy over these. i'll keep y'all updated, and definitely let me know if you would like to be tossed on an interest list for those customs ❤️ these friends are a bit over 2ft long and will have weighted bums for sitting. great for a cuddle!

a bear of a man...elf...it's halsin silverbough of baldur's gate 3 ❤️ this is a 3inch sketch on muslin fabric, ready for me to embroider! wyll's portrait is coming along so well - i'm so glad my fears of ruining the drawing with my embroidery were unfounded! i'll keep chipping away at him, and start on karlach's portrait embroidery next. c: next sketches will be shadowheart, gale, and lae'zel. i'm nervous about being able to capture lae'zel's intensity but we'll see how it goes!

if you give me an astarion...i'm gonna need a wyll trying to style his hair without the necessary tools was really...interesting 😂 but we got there. he still needs some details here and there, but i'm having fun while deliriously fighting off this dumb lil chest cold. ❤️

astarion embroidery number 2 is finally finished ❤️ i feel like this one got a lot closer to his likeness than i managed with the last, which is always a good feeling! i won't lie, though. i really feel like my drawing and embroidery skills have leveled up since i started this piece, and i am downright *GIDDY* to see how the new round of sketches turn out. wyll's embroidery is officially on the hoop and getting his stitches! after him will be karlach. next sketch to look out for will be halsin! would love to hear any you want added to or bumped up the queue. ❤️

here is the sketch for my embroidery of karlach cliffgate, the best gal ❤️ she is from the game baldur's gate 3. this is for a 3inch hoop, so it's pretty dang small. been chipping away at the embroidery for astarion's second portrait and i'm loving it so much!! his curls just take a heck of a long while to stitch 😂 can't wait to share him with y'all, and to start in on wyll's embroidery! next sketches i'm planning are halsin, shadowheart, gale, and a third astarion because i truly cannot control myself. are there any you'd like to see bumped up the list/added to it? this game is near and dear to my heart and i have no plans of evicting these brain worms any time soon c:

yesterday a batch of button designs crossed the finish line, today was spent handsewing a batch of 20 carrot plushies! they still need their tops and faces, but soon you might see them (and some friends) popping up around town ;)

new goodies alert~ drawstring bags, or as i prefer to call them, giftless gift bags! at about 9in x 9in these can be used as reusable gift bags, makeup bags, dice bags - they can catch 'n contain it all! each one has its own unique combo of patterned fabric, so you can bask in how special you are ❤️

this is my first proper wander into the world of sewing machines, and honestly as frustrating as it was...seeing the results is really satisfying. as i improve i want to add some full shopping tote sized bags as well, maybe even a couple with embroidered panels for fun.

and now, back to work on a brand spankin' new set of button designs (i know, it's about freakin' time) that'll be with me at fresh paint august 17th-18th! it's just around the corner, so clear your schedule for it now ;)

been in production mode for so long my brain hard quit on me and demanded i do something weird. so here's the painting/embroidery/whatever else i feel like it needs that jumped out of my hands. i think it's got a ways to go, but I'm having fun. 💜

haven't really posted any of my jewelry dabbling yet, so here is a necklace i just finished as a bit of a gift to myself.

there are lots of labels in the community to choose from, but only one has ever felt fully right for me - queer. there are no exacting definitions, there is room for the inevitable flux of life, and it gives me a measure of privacy that i appreciate. it is a part of me, something i take solace in after fighting hard to find the right fit (even if i'm not exactly "practicing" by dating, hehe).

made a bit of an accidental discovery while drawing out some future embroideries...i think muslin might be my favorite thing to sketch on?? i never usually use pencil to rough out my embroideries, usually it's a fabric marker of some sort that can be washed away easily, but *boy* did i have entirely too much fun with this one!!

as you may be able to tell if you are also afflicted with the brain worms - this is wyll ravengard from baldur's gate 3. eventually i would like to do portraits of all the origin characters, and maybe a special npc or two. <3 karlach's sketch will be up next! and astarion's second portrait is still being stitched away at. c:

now all i can do is cross my fingers and toes that embroidery won't end up ruining what is likely the best thing i've ever drawn. pray for me? xD

guys, i'm so good at running a small business. how good, you may ask? well, i definitely wrote an enormous blog post for the website for the first time in almost two years (oops?) and absolutely remembered to tell folks about it. yup.

i CANNOT overstate how much i adore photos of my creations in their forever homes 😭 and these are such perfect examples!! thank you so much for sending me these @sadie.lovgren , and even more for letting me share them! it is so good to know that the first sproot to find a home found such a loving one <3
