Spring seems to be coming early to the PNW. I am ready. I'll be in the garden this weekend to give my mind and soul a break from the chaos. I have seeds ready to start, including peas, lettuce, carrots, radish, cabbages, and broccoli. I still need to pick up other seeds and supplies tomorrow.

Only the rich are allowed to make mistakes and have them erased as if they never happened.
you know even if a homeless person or a starving person is in that position because of their own "bad decisions" i don't care. it doesn't matter. no supposed financial misstep is enough to condemn someone to homelessness or poverty.

It is a nice perspective, especially when things havent been easy the day before.

i have simply fallen in love with the notion that one gets to start anew every morning ✨

It is said that we don't grow without discomfort, challenge, pain. While this is true, we need to do more to give each other a break once in a while from all that. If we all focused not only upon our own survival, our own growth (even if we can't see that growth) but also upon giving each other support at times, we'd all have those moments of quiet, calm, safety that keep us glued together so we can keep growing instead of just utterly falling apart. And we need to all remember, we ALL have pain and fear. Even if we are assholes about it. But we have the power to help each other with that, AND we have to learn to accept that help.

It's been a long, hard summer. I lost my dad in late July, and I haven't been able to process that because I've been slammed with school (college). One more exam, and I am done for the quarter. The coming of fall (I hate summer anyway) and Samhain, can't happen soon enough. I am ready for change.

I planted these late this year, and they are just now blooming. Female begonia bloom. Dad often had begonias planted in boxes that hung on the side of the house.

Stink bug nymphs, aka leaf hoppers, have turned green. Next spring they will be much larger and look like a shield in shape. These little guys have no idea there is a white crab spider waiting on the next leaf. They are on my honeysuckle vine.
