Stuff. Mostly unoriginal. Mostly not worth looking at. Sometimes it is... I also run a comics blog (that never gets updated) which documents first appearances of characters. It's located HERE

I started a new project. Who knows how long I’ll keep doing it. But for now.... Check it out!
THE TEST BEGINS....... NOW!
Welcome to Music for the Messes!
My goal for this blog is to randomly go through my extensive music collection, listen to an album, and write up a short review. It should be noted that I am neither a musician or a music writer. I’m just a person who managed to accumulate far too much music on his computer who wants an excuse to listen to things randomly and, hopefully, find something to say about those things.
A FEW RULES:
- In order to prevent this blog from turning into a ‘Here are reviews of my favorite albums and everything else can remain hidden from public view’ I am using a random number generator to automatically decide what my next album listen will be. Everything contained in my collection is fair game (except for concert recordings. see below) and hopefully this blog will allow for much of the collection to be revisited.
- No re-rolls allowed unless that album has previously been reviewed!
- I am omitting all concert recordings unless they have been officially released. Exceptions will be made for interesting (to me) bootlegs but generic concert recordings have already been removed from my master list.
- My initial goal is three reviews a week. That will probably change. But for now three is a good number. I hope to update on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Disagree with my review? Want more info on an album? Just want to chat? Please feel free to drop me a message in my ask box! I don’t promise that I will respond but I can guarantee that I will read everything sent…

This remains one of my most favorite songs of all time...
(via Ryan Adams - Come Pick Me Up (Live unplugged) - YouTube)
Happy 15 years Heartbreaker. This record changed my life in the most cliche dumb emo way. As all good records should.

O’Brien
Tim O’Brien goes up to the counter and orders a drink he calls the “Epistemic Frappe.” The barista double checks the menu. “I’m sorry, sir,” she says, “but that’s not a real drink.”
“How can you know?” O’Brien asks. He seems to pull a microphone from thin air, and with his lips a little too close to the mic he tells everyone in the Starbucks that they’ve just had their minds blown. He drops the mic and exits walking backward, arms extended.

Conversation
A Brief Synopsis of a Facebook Conversation I Saw on my Feed
Person A: People who __________ are horrible and awful and should probably be put down or sterilized or something
Person B: Oh! What a shame that you feel that way! Especially since this academic article that I am going to post right now pretty much proves why that isn't the case! You should read the article which will show you that the act of ___________ is horrible but the people who ____________ are, for the most part, not horrible! Really! Read the article!
Person A: I'm not going to read the article... Also, you are wrong.
#Ugh#At Least TRY And See The Other Side Of The Argument!#Smart People Being Smart#Dumb People Trying To Prove They Are Smart#How hard is it to read an article?#I hate people

After five years together we have mutually decided to go our separate ways. This is an amicable decision that has been a long time coming. I wish her the best and assume that she feels the same.
For those who are wondering, I will be driving down to Texas in a few weeks to make sure that she has all of her things and whatnot. After that I will be heading to Sarasota, FL for an undetermined amount of time. I assume that eventually I will be making my way back to New England.
I'm not going to go into details here about what happened between us. I also will not be responding to any private messages regarding the situation. Please understand that this is for the best for both of us. It is a difficult situation but we are both strong and well-intentioned people. Again, this was mutually decided upon as the best course of action going forward. Please respect that.

nocorepunk answered: Ween! Lots of material and a good variety.
I should point out that I *ALWAYS* have Ween’s entire discography (plus official and unofficial live shows) in my car at all times... That’s a given.
But I like the way you think!

I should point out that, although this is a hypothetical situation (and therefore subject to however long anyone could be driving hypothetically), I will be driving approximately 28 hours... Granted, even if I end my initial journey with a few albums remaining, there is a very good chance that I would CONTINUE to solely play said artist in my car until I have finished their entire discography.
PLEASE KEEP THE RECOMMENDATIONS COMING!
Hypothetical Situation
You are about to take a very long drive. You cannot drive without music… Assuming that you were going to be driving long enough to listen to an entire artist’s catalog from debut to most recent album with all EPs and whatnot included WITHOUT skipping a single track who would you want to bring along with you?

When did “ship” become a thing?
I feel like I missed a meeting or something, and suddenly it was everywhere and everyone was ok with it.
Seriously? “Relationship” was too much to say?
I suppose after “totes” became a thing, every multi-syllable word was on the table.
Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go shake my fist at clouds.
