Really didn't like how the other coloured drawing of Erica turned out, so I decided to experiment with a lineless style for a remake, and I personally believe it turned out well!

Conveys my view of the character much better.

Started hosting a text campaign with two of my pals, I put the characters who don't fit into D&D as PCs into this. And I chose the adorable couple that is Irene and Erica. <3

A collection of NPCs drawn for my D&D Campaign titled "Inheritance".  All of these characters were met in the starting town of Gûndsol, set in the middle of a the Waves of Lostmorro, a desolate desert.

Thought this story was worth being on tumblr.

So, I run a DND campaign once a week, right?

One of my players is a Fairy Druid. And the party is staying in a tavern in a small town at this point. The starter town.

One morning the druid decides to wake up and use wild shape to become a wolf so he can rest in the sunlight. All well and good.

Until you remember that these are NPCs with a simple life, and are located in the middle of a desert.

Ofc they end up confused, but nothing happens that day.

In a future session though…

Our Artificer asks the Druid to go to the blacksmith’s, a Kobold and Dwarf apprentice they are familiar with who we’re both war veterans.

So the druid, being a nice guy, agrees! He makes his way over, and requests to purchase the iron, silver, and lead the artificer wants.

The dwarf apprentice tries to take advantage of the fact that the druid looks quite unfamiliar with forging band material costs, and they end up needing to speak with the forge master inside; The Kobold.

As the druid comes inside, the Dwarf explains the situation to the Kobold, who simply agrees with him and asks him to make a purchase or be on with his day.

The druid, however, would not take this lightly. He ended up insulting the Kobold *war veteran* to his face, and was kicked out with throwing daggers.

Now, the druid ended up leaving, but not before trying to scare the living hell out of them for revenge.

By becoming a wolf inside their home.

Most of these villagers would have panicked like the druid wanted, but these two served for many years in the climate wolves would be accustomed to, and acted accordingly. By attacking with full force.

The dwarf alerted the kobold and attempted to run up the stairs to deal with the beast, before getting knocked down the stairs and the druid-wolf ran away.

The Kobold forge master however, did not get caught in the crossfire, drew two giant scimitars, and the chase ensued.

At this point the artificer player along with our wizard and bard were cackling and cringing at the poor decisions made up to this point.

Queue the benny hill theme.

The chase begun, a wolf with a speed of 40, chased by a Kobold who’s class was high enough TO MATCH THE 40 SPEED, alongside the dwarf who was a CROSSBOWMAN. (they knew this it was his insignia on the past work bought by the party).

But it only gets worse. He runs by the house of a friend of the party’s, who happens to be a stationed guard with a family leaving that morning for work. He takes the opportunity to try to spear the wolf, and misses.

Then the druid runs across the tavern, which houses many clients and families, along with a bouncer the party knows uses enchanted lightning gauntlets. The bard player, who only speaks broken common, attempts to war the barkeeper that the wolf is our druid by saying "Shoot wolf, has druid."

ONCE AGAIN THE CHASE CONTINUES.

The wolf climbs barrels to attempt a diversion and knock them over, which catches the bouncer, but not the kobold.

He passes by the wizard player who is training in the backyard of the tavern, who would definitely have attacked the wolf after seeing the kobold who is assisting him in his training running after it… if he didn’t already know the shenanigans the druid got up to.

The druid ended up finally coming to his senses, transforming out of wild shape after turning a corner and hiding from the raging kobold inside of a seemingly uninhabited store.

The only thing that happened after is that tve chief of the guards came by and questioned the party, leading to a village-wide warning about wolves in the area.

We (Specifically the artificer) think back to this story fondly. And continue to clown on our druid to this day. :)

A gift from his partner, Costaria. They both went shopping at the same time without communication and got gifts for eachother!

I think I've gotta post images of them together sometime!

Seven of the Dozen (No chosen name)

The doors and halls are much taller than any person would reasonably need. It is so unusable that your size is comparable to a toddler's.

Yet someone still roams the halls. Someone tall enough to use the appliances, turn the doorhandles, sit on the chairs.

Someone tall enough to catch you.

They know it. You cannot make one move out of line. Run. Don't let them get you or you wont get another chance for weeks. Your body won't be able to handle it.

Baker was better. I can't live like this anymore. I'll take Baker over this anticipation...

Riley "Six of the Dozen"

Riley has been posted about before as Mother of the Lost. In fantasy settings, she is a doppelganger--a shapeshifter. She is also Five's most trusted fellow member of the Dozen, even though they were rarely ever paired together.  More about Riley on my Toyhouse page below!
