If you’re not already familiar with British India, the four man indie rock band from Melbourne, Australia, you need to listen to their song “I Can Make You Love Me”. The song provokes a melancholy mood, perfect for listening to during a gloomy fall day. If you enjoy it, check out the music video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXOAwbazzKQ

Allow us to introduce you to Gabe Mouer, a.k.a Patternist. Hailing from Bridge City, Oregon, Mouer describes his music as soulful indie pop. Not sure what he means by that? Have a listen to his latest single, “Dizzy” to find out. https://soundcloud.com/patternistmusic/dizzy

Canadian singer-songwriter and producer Peter Henry Phillips (a.k.a Pilou) will be releasing his album The Origin this coming week. But in the mean time... make sure to give a listen to his single “I Wanna Go” on SoundCloud or Spotify!

Glass Vaults are New Zealand natives Richard Larsen + Rowan Pierce. To date, they have released two EPs, both on Fort Lauderdale based label, Juboxr. The pairs’ songs hypnotically migrate between subtle electronics & pulsating percussion that serves as a rich textural veneer to Richard Larsen’s haunting yet sentimental vocals. Their live show takes the spaciousness & melodic clarity of their recorded work & stretches it into wall of sound environments moving through lush, fully realised universes of textural sound. Richard + Rowan grew up in rural Manawatu, New Zealand & met at university in Wellington where they began developing aural architecture with melody & arrangement. Whilst Larsen & Pierce are the core songwriters & performers, they work extensively in the studio with musician + producer Bevan Smith (Signer, Over the Atlantic, The Ruby Suns). Glass Vaults first EP, Glass, was recorded on Rowan’s grandmothers farm in March 2010. They teamed up with Smith to produce the recordings into the final release, which was released via Jukboxr on a 12” limited edition vinyl. Their second EP, Into Clear, was released in October 2011 & was recorded over various locations including a family farm, this time closer to home just outside of Wellington. Last week, the duo flew over to the US for their 1st ever show in the US & the start of their summer residence at Pianos in NYC. Glass Vaults will be staying in American soil for 3 months touring as well as developing & recording new material to be released throughout 2012. All confirmed dates can be found after the break.
