~A forgotten promise~

As he laments the fleeting loss of life, he mourns;

What can I protect with these hands?

To someday end this endless war, we shared our hearts, even our unhealed wounds.

I spoke to you in faith;

I swore to honor our childhood promise with these hands.

Time flows, forgetting the past...

How long will this blood-stained lineage endure? In this stolen land, I raise my hopes and draw my sword.

At the tip of the crossed blade, I find a cherished you.
