My brother has gotten it into his head that I'm a good writer and has been nagging me to write a series for a while. 

Instead of books, I've gotten into letter-writing, but unfortunately I don't really have friends who will correspond with me on a regular basis.

I was complaining to my brother about that today, and his solution was this: if I write my books, I'll get fans, who will send letters, and then I'll have a ton of people to write. 

I can't deny that he's got a point.
