Hello everybody!
I updated my pridesaur list and added some respectable entries for Intersex, Abrosecxual, Greysexual, agender and butch lesbian. I am proud to say we are at 21 dinos!!!
But I am still very much open for more suggestions, so if you find any fitting dino pun, that I have not covered yet, please feel free to let me know ^.^
My goal still remains to have the most inclusive prehistoric pride dinosaur collection out there, so feel free to help me out a bit with fun ideas ;D
Happy pride to y'all!

you used to be able to play games on cartoonnetwork.com . . . now every company's website wants to give you spyware and spread corporate propaganda but I REMEMBER when you could play a BEN 10 adventure game in-browser without so much as giving away your e-mail. people's heads should be on pikes for this

Honestly, y'all, I'm begging you. Take the time to think and learn for yourself. Even if it's just something casual like knitting or cooking. Exercise your brain. It's important.

The AI Debate
Everything is fucking difficult. Life is difficult. Getting out of bed - difficult. Writing - difficult.
And AI is easy.
Like, really really easy. Because in the world of technology, the mind-melting writers block that's turning your insides to soup no longer requires you to sell your soul to Satan to cure - you can just pop your query in a little machine on your phone and BOOM, plot handled.
And I'm not gonna lie - sometimes, AI really does have a good solution to a plot hole, great character name ideas, or makes research a fuckin cakewalk. I'd be lying if I said I didn't succumb to the euphoric embrace of Baymax But For Authors.
Sounds like a no-brainer. But that's part of the problem - we WANT your wrinkly little nogingoblin involved in the creative process. We want you out here putting your whole brainussy into this shit.
Sure, AI might come up with a good idea, but in writing, the idea is arguably the least important part. Everything has been done a million times, and AI is going to do it the exact same way - not even just because AI isn't very creative, but because it's actively stealing from other authors and simply puking up the same story-line fifty writers used before, but without the soul and perspective to redeem this repetitiveness.
This is Not Great ™ because stealing=bad and we should care about plagiarism and the sanctity of respect for creative works, but also because you're going to get shit results. The cheating objectively Is Not Worth It.
But let's say you don't care about any of that. Maybe you "only" use AI for research or to ask you questions about your story so that you can come up with the answers yourself - seemingly innocent tasks.
Look, we can do mental gymnastics over what counts as "real writing" and what constitutes "cheating" all day. But the truth is, it doesn't even matter if your AI use is ethical as an author, because it's unethical as a global citizen.
AI is actually really fucking bad for the environment.
Tumblr media
An AI system getting ready to launch to the public took up the equivalent of 123 cars being driven for a year,,,
That's wild. You should think that's wild. Hopefully in an age of the global warming crisis being widely disregarded by our "leader" in orange, this matters to you.
But that all begs the question - if you're totally stuck, but you can't use AI, how will you ever reach your author dreams?
Community!!
There are so many great resources here on Tumblr (*cough cough* THIS BLOG *cough cough*), in writer discord groups, in online blogs, from studying literature yourself.
You can do this. You really, genuinely are smart and creative enough to make it without AI as a writer. I believe in you, dude.

Um actually scrub daddy is my comfort character and it physically and psychically hurts me to see you chop him up and eat him after freezing and cracking him up with liquid nitrogen while naked with big boobs?

French royalist newspaper progressively freaking out as Napoleon gets closer to Paris
So I don't know if it is a true story but it is hilarious. In his Impressions de Voyage, Alexandre Dumas (who also wrote The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo) recolls reading a few years ago the royalist (and so) anti-Napoleon newspaper Le Moniteur. Every day, he notes the changing tone of headlines as Napoleon, who fled from the island of Elba, approaches Paris :
Tumblr media
The cannibal left his lair
The Corsican Ogre has just reached Golfe-Juan
The tiger has arrived at Gap
The monster spent the night in Grenoble
The tyrant has crossed Lyon
The usurper was seen sixty leagues from the capital
Bonaparte is advancing at great strides but will never enter Paris
Napoleon will be under our ramparts tomorrow
The Emperor arrived at Fontainebleau
His Imperial and Royal Majesty arrived yesterday in his Tuileries castle among his loyal subjects

Fun fact about real life humans. Europe had functioning designs and examples of steel cannons for a long time before they were ever used in battle. And its not from a lack of opportunity.
Leaders just didn’t care for the expense or risk of upgrading when brass had worked so well for napoleon.
Same with the machine jun, they weren’t used (in europe) for years for various small mostly subjective reasons.
And then someone lost without them.
And everyone got the upgrades.
Picture this: Space war, other species see humans as a loud but primitive race that only just joined the stars, easy to crush. The first few battles even go there way.
And then suddenly our weapons are MUCH better. Our ships we MUCH better. Our computers and training and shields. Everything is leaps and bounds ahead.
Cause you see we’ve had that technology for years, we just didn’t implement it because there was no need to. Whether it’s human nature or capitalism, we don’t improve until we’re forced to, until something makes us.
But now there was a war,
now we could justify the cost,
so we stopped holding ourselves back.

what if you wore a shirt that featured a picture of you trying to claw your way out of the shirt with a horrid desperate expression and the text "THAT'S NOT ME THAT'S NOT ME I'M TRAPPED IN THE SHIRT"
