Been a hot minute, friends.
This update is fitness update with a tiny bit of a garden update. Ready? Let's go.
I have completed week 3 of the six week workout challenge, and I have also started doing yoga on Sundays! Yesterday I went for a run with my friend Maggie, we did 1.92 miles and I really need to learn how to run slower. I did a lot of zone 4-5. Goal is to learn how to run in zone 2. If I can do zone 2 I am going to be able to run farther and it helps with fat loss more. I also got dumbells finally! They are 8lbs, they are line green.
Now for the garden update! I have poppies, I have several sugar snap peas, I am going to let two go to brown so I can harvest for next year's crop once they dried out. I also have several new baby tomatoes growing, the one big one I had found after the critters ravaged my plant last time did change color in its container, but it did also get moldy.
Thats all you get for updates.

Tiny garden update: something stole all of the tomatoes off my plant.
In other news, finished week one (again) of the six week workout challenge, also found out today that I weigh 20lbs less than I did December 15th!

Garden update!!
First the bad.
Fuck. The. Squirrels. They literally stole my onion. I was about to harvest it and POOF! It is just GONE. They also stole my super wrinkly ugly baby tomato and all the flowers off the strawberry plants.
As for the front, we have a flower!

That is all for the garden. I am restaring the 6 week workout challenge on FitOn today, I am also going to become more "high maintenance" Sundays I am going to do total body hair removal pretty much, face mask, hair and scalp mask, I am going to be better at skin care in general and I am going to start journaling! Wish me luck, on this era of personal growth!

I got new running shoes! They’re lilac purple and I love them. I’ve gone on two real runs and one super short one. The first run felt great—1.03 miles in just over 13 minutes. The second one wasn’t as fun. I thought it was going well at the time, but my shins started hurting afterward and haven’t quite forgiven me since. Pretty sure I didn’t stretch enough.
I’ve taken a break from the 6-week workout challenge for now. I’ll restart once my hand stops hurting.
Garden update! I have several tomatoes growing, three bell peppers coming in, and four strawberries budding. I think the onion might be ready to harvest really soon! Not much more going on in the garden right now, but it’s holding steady.
Follow along for more updates—from the garden, the trails, and whatever else I decide to dive into next!

Workout challenge.
You know what sucks? I was so excited for this challenge, now I can barely use my left hand and it has me spiraling. I cant push the jogging stroller, I cant do like anything with that hand and I am not strong enough to do some of the moves with one hand. This is rough. I am trying to better myself and my health not just for me, but for my daughter and I feel like I cant do anything.

Day 2 back into excercizing, a bit easier. Zones are for warm up, the excercize, and the cool down.

Another day, albeit belated. Time for a little garden and life update.
The tomatoes are flowering, which feels like a small miracle. I’ve got two strawberry plants: one is hiding under the mesh cover on the firepit on the deck, and the other is in a container with a tomato cage. The basil is officially dead. The sugar snap peas that didn’t get stolen are… doing okay, I think? The peony still looks the same. The raised bed isn’t done yet.
The wildflower seeds I threw next to the garage haven’t sprouted, but I recently scattered some milkweed seeds near the porch, and I think those might be starting to come up.
The front yard has been attacked again. Out of the six plants I put in, three are still standing. Nature is not on my side.
I’ve also got a pile of scraps—dish cloths, stained sweatpants, random fabric—to practice embroidery on, and I’m really excited to get started. I’m also hopping back into Pilates today. If you want to know what routine I’m doing, let me know!
Oh, and I posted a TikTok. It kind of sucks. But you know what? I’m learning.
That’s all for now—plants are growing (kind of), I’m moving (slowly), and we’re learning as we go. Catch you next time, probably covered in dirt and embroidery floss.

Hey there, party people!
First up on the list: gardening. I’ve got some containers going already, Kurt is building me a raised bed, and life is life-ing.
Squirrels are squirrels—and squirrels are adorable monsters. So are deer. Just absolute MONSTERS. Adorable. Monsters. Last year I tried strawberries and the squirrels ripped them out. This year, I’m experimenting: one strawberry on the railing, one in a container on the ground next to the deck. Let the games begin.
Here’s what else I’ve got going:
Strawberries
Basil
Herbs (via a seed bomb from Target—wish me luck)
Peonies
An onion (it started sprouting in my kitchen, so now it has a destiny)
Sugar snap peas
Various flower seeds sprinkled literally everywhere.
I really hope the strawberries work this time, my toddler is a total berry FIEND.
Also picked up some supposedly deer-proof plants for the front yard.
Wish me luck. I’m gonna need it.

Introductory
Hello, welcome to my blog! My name is Taylor, and I turned thirty in November, so it has been a minute. Or, you know, six months. Since then, I’ve been filled with the realization that thirty is not old, and I want to learn new things I’ve been putting off my whole life. So I am starting this blog, and I’m going to start posting on TikTok (probably after a haircut).
Anyway, back to the purpose. I’m going to be posting and sharing what I learn as I try new things. So far on the docket, we have gardening, sewing, painting, and a desire to better understand content creation. Why not focus my thirties on bettering myself as I also navigate this thing called life?
There was a bit of a delay starting things because of a detour called "potty training." My daughter is two, and we’re done now. Now I get to move on to new things, like learning new things!
Thanks for reading. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me, and I hope you’ll stick around to see it too. If you’ve been putting off learning something new, maybe now’s the time. Let’s do this together!
I have no idea what I’m doing yet, but I’m showing up. That counts for something, right? Turning thirty made me realize life isn’t slowing down, but that doesn’t mean I can’t keep growing. Here’s to trying new things, one step at a time.
