its so funny how the very first conversation we see between skysybil mirimm and essek is seemingly a continuation of a very long and frustrated (unofficial) academic feud between these two because they fundamentally disagree on the use of the beacons. As a fellow academic I don't wanna say I too would commit war crimes to finally get my theories tested when they've been ignored by everyone around me but like ... I do get essek a little bit.

oooh, it's always so delightful to see postings when people watch c2 for the first time! have fun! do you have a fave character?

I feel so behind on everything just because theres so much to catch up on lmao but !!!! I very much do have faves already. Joked with a friend when I started to watch that Caleb was made in a lab for me specifically which is kinda true but I think Molly actually claimed the number one spot (I'm on episode 32 now and was well aware when I started this how fucked I was with that choice lol). I just can't resist the flashy liars. Molly's fun. So my favourite has to be somewhere between Caleb, Molly and, surprisingly Nott! She really took me by surprise and I can't wait to get to all thatTM about her in the future. Though I adore all of the Nein truly. Have not had a cast I've enjoyed this much in a while its insane.

I also really enjoyed Nila tbh. She's been my favourite guest character so far.

Just. ok!! thats not how I expected this to go. Its also a joke about Nigerian prince scams bc its still Sam doing this which .... wow. talk about things that I did not see coming at all despite having heard and seen a lot about this whole campaign beforehand.

going insane about metal gear 2 again because they really could have gone so much harder with the whole 'does being a soldier make you unable to do anything else?' thing like sure, we got Fox as Snake's foil in the story but what about Gustava who was pulled into becoming a spy for her country as a punishment because all other jobs were suddenly unavailable to her because she tried to flee to the West, what about Holly who saw the horrors of war as a war journalist and wanted to do more to help people and the CIA just. got her thrown into the middle of this without ever seemingly handing her any proper training for this kind of mission. They briefly touch upon this (with Gustava. kind of) but never truly commit to it and I am gonna start chewing glass about it
