This was the showreel that I had used within the show, my one issue that I have with this is the fact of how simple it is. The reason for this was mainly because I didn’t have enough time to create a rotational render of most of my objects, though I wish I did do this instead. But since it was next to my game I didn’t really want this to gain all the attraction from it so I think it was also a really good thing to have done it a bit more simpler.

This is the official way I represented my work. I liked the way I displayed it due to it being simple, but it also seemed a little bit bland when I looked at it. But never the less I am still extremely happy with how my project actually turned out overall.

Overall Review of the Project:
So, this is me having my entire project officially done and the game being fully made playable. But now its time to officially criticize and give my personal opinion of my work and project as a whole. I am gonna start off by saying that the project was not actually a failure, and that I am extremely proud of what I had created. The issue was actually how I could have refined and made it a lot more distinctive towards my idea as a whole. Since once you start playing the game, their isn’t much of a goal to get within the game. This essentially leaves the player feeling more like it abruptly ends and just simply turns out being more of a showcase than anything. 
Which isn’t a bad thing, since I tried to put as much detail and authenticity into the rooms as possible, but I definitely could of had much more of a interest towards exploring. Since I had created a entire story for the game, but it was all on the blog rather than in the game which kinda brought it to more of a display of assets instead of a narrative. 
But another thing that I wish I could of done is do more drawings to back up the game, such as layouts and room designs, but I simply just left this behind since I wanted to make sure the outcome was the best I could possibly do. Though I do wish that I had done much more drawing that what I actually ended up having. 
The things that I would say I am overall really happy with was a lot of the assets and research I had managed to end up actually doing throughout the project, since this was definitely something that helped me gain a much more stronger idea as to what I wanted to create as well as the type of era I was going into for my game and overall back-drop. 
Overall I’d definitely say that this entire project was definitely a success as to what I had wanted to do, but I still feel like their was still something else that I wanted to delve deeper into to make this entire project that much more better and distinct in order to make it to the desired interest for it.

The Portrait Room Review:

This is the official final room within the game, in which you find the painting and try to take it. Leading you to realize that you are within a never ending cycle that is inescapable. I would say that I like this room, but to me I found it just too simple. As I wanted this to be the more darker variation, but it just didn’t end up being like that. 
So if I was to create this room again, I’d definitely say that I would do so much more towards making everything a lot more unique and interesting within this room. Possibly by adding more darker and mind-bending things really.

The Crossroad Room Review:

This was actually the last room I had created for my game, since I was unsure as to what I wanted to create for the twist within the game effectively. But also because I only had around 3-2 weeks left on the project, though I had luckily made this in a day which was really good. Anyways, this is a room in which I wanted it to show the eventual fall within the rooms, this being that one door leads to the painting, but the other leads you to a variation of the 1st room. Overall I would say that this was one of the easier rooms to create, primarily due to it being very simple and not including many new assets. But I find this to be one of my more interesting ones, since it gives you a choice of the left or right doors. 
If I could improve this I would say I’d want to add more of a twist to the room, by having much more darker imagery. Apart from this though I am happy with the outcome.

Hallway Review:

This is the hallway that I had created within my game, when it is displayed like this it looks to be extremely simple and easy to replicate for anyone. But once I had placed this within the game and then sorted out the lighting and atmosphere, I knew that I had created one of my more interesting and down right creepy rooms within my time on the course and I am extremely proud of this. If there was one thing I could do to fix this, I’d definitely say that I’d want to add more interesting things within the hallway, from stuff such as small bookshelf, cupboards and maybe just bottles scattered around the floor, to imply that whoever lives here might be a alcoholic. 
But overall it really worked very well.

This is what the game looks like with the lighting officially finished and lit up, I would say that I am extremely happy with how the lighting is officially done. The issue that I figured out that was happening is that I had never changed the settings within the actual lighting section. Windows - Lighting - Settings.

Victorian Dining Room (Review):

This was the second room which I had decided to begin creation for, the main reason I wanted to create a dining room was mainly due to how large most of them actually are. I believe that I had done a really good job at actually creating this dining room, though this also comes with its issues. 
Since some of the scaling in this room is just slightly larger than what it should be, but also with just how simple the room actually was. Since although the size of it was extremely large, then I wish I had actually added much more items into it. 
From things like wine glasses to bottles, but apart from this I’d definitely say that some of the textures need to be sorted out as well, but this goes for the majority of rooms that I had created. Since with the time that I had I was unable to sort out the textures to make them as good as I’d want them to be, but this is something for me to reflect on and keep in mind for the future. But if I had extra time I would definitely say that the first thing I’d do is sort the textures out.

Victorian Drawing Room (Review):

This was the very first room that I had decided to start designing for the game. For this one I decided to try and base i around a drawing room, I’d say that with this room it was probably one of the more detailed rooms that I decided to create for the game, since this was where I decided to actually place everything correctly into the places I actually wanted them to be. 
I tried to keep in mind the idea of detail as well as multiple different objects around the room in order to make sure they were cluttered enough. I believe that I sort of succeeded in a way, but it is very obvious that it just wasn’t enough to make it extremely interesting. Since visually the room is extremely nice, but it just doesn’t have that amount of detail to make it feel like a room basically. 
The things that I want to do in order to really make it seem more like a filled room, is for me to have just added a lot more smaller things into it. Things that can lead to the story within this section, from things like newspapers, possibly boards, knives, alcohol and even signs of him just throwing things essentially. Just anything to make it seem like, you had just been within something that went bad. 
Since this is a room which I used twice, but with some slight adjustments towards them mainly.

10/5/18 (Hand in day):
Today was the official hand in day for everything. I would say that today went really well, but I also have this feeling that my work just wasn’t really enough. This mainly being the fact that I still feel like I can do so much more with my project, but I still have to keep in mind that I had created everything by myself and that the majority of the time, but also for someone like me who only had 12 weeks, that its the best that I can do. 
Another thing that I felt that weren’t the best were my worksheets. Though I am not upset with my actual render sheets and asset designs, but more the fact that I do not have any initial drawings of the rooms I created. Meaning that I cannot back my work up, but I am able to sort this out and get them spiral bound as a separate one for the show.  
But then it came to the issue of trying to get my game onto the server, which ultimately just refused to work. Leading to a dramatic set back for my work. Though I do still have the file and is still functioning, so it might just be a slight glitch or a means that I will just have to place it onto a separate memory stick, so it is nothing too drastic. 
This then leads me to everything else, since it still feels like I could have done so much more. Such as adding more detail, Items and just back up sheets overall. These are all the thing that I would get done, if I had much more time to prepare and create.

Issue:
So, when I went to place it onto the shared system today at college it refused to work for some reason, but now whenever I try to open the file for the first time this error message comes up. Though after opening it, it seems to effectively work correctly with no problems, but I think that it might be effecting me building the game. So I will need to get this sorted as soon as I possibly can otherwise it just simply won’t work.

How I will present my work:
The way I plan to present my work is by obviously having the game running on the mac for the show, but I will also include my portfolio which will be filled with my progression towards the creation of the game. I will then also include controls which would be printed out and on the table, to get a better idea as to how they would be able to play the game. 
But I might also do a form of test sheet, to see who picks the left or right doors, since only one of them will actually lead to the end.

2 Days left for Project. Whats left to do?
So, the project is coming this upcoming Thursday and I need to make sure that everything is to the standard that I would want it to be. I aim to hand in 40 sheets varying from research to asset sheets. The thing that I am lacking with when it comes to sheets is drawing ones, this is mainly due to the fact of me focusing more on my actual outcome so I will actually create a few more drawing ones ready for hand in (this will probably be two more). I will also need to make sure that the game will work, since when I built it, it had worked. But the lighting didn’t work so well. This is something that I will do after I have printed everything which I will have done in the morning. After that then its essentially thinking about how I will present.

Within this video I show me actually walking around and between the rooms. It seems to work with the teleporting once I had actually built this but the new issue is that the lighting is now super bright, so I have to fix this before Thursday. But apart from this minor issue, it seems to be essentially finished.
