I know this would never happen, but I think it would be really funny if the “clue” Mackenzie finds in John’s van is just Anthony’s body. Like he was just keeping it in a comically large ice chest in his trunk like the psycho that he is. And it would totally work with whatever dumb luck thing he has going on.

After Robert runs, I want him to be thinking of a way out of this situation and for him to remember what Andy did. I want him to check himself into a psych ward as like an excuse/legal plan, but then actually improve after being there and that’s how he realizes he actually has a problem and needs therapy because he did therapy as an excuse/way to avoid prison but then actually benefitted from it. And when Aaron calls him on his BS and accuses him of playing the ptsd card to get out of consequences, they have a heart to heart where Robert admits that was the goal but that he actually needed it and didn’t realize/accept that fact until he did it.

I need a fic about the immediate aftermath of the firetruck explosion. Like obviously Buck was hurt the worst, but they all literally just got blown up. How badly were the rest of them hurt? Who took over the scene once they got the truck off of him? Who was in which truck? How did they figure out what was going on?

With Robert’s return, I need a brief scene of either a convo addressing Livs death or Robert visiting her grave. I think there friendship/sibling ship is so underrated, and I don’t think he could come back to the village without acknowledging her absence. Or like a scene between him and Vinny talking about her

Recently, I realized that I really like it when we are shown the perspective of the Whumpee as they are hurt. You know, when everything is distorted and their team mates are yelling and worried around them, the time jumps from different places to the er rooms as they are in and out of consciousness, the confusion and pain in their eyes........ Peak Whump!!!!!!!

Here are some examples I can remember from the top of my head. Please let me know if there is more!

1. CSI (The original one)- season 6 episode 24 (Whump starts at episode 23)

Character: Jim Brass

Whump- shot, blood from the mouth, transported to the hospital, codes and resuscitated, worried friend, surgery, codes and resuscitatated again, eventual recovery.

2. The Night Shift- season 1 episode 8 (whump starts at episode 7)

Character: Topher

Whump: Shot in the stomach, collapses, transported to er, surgery, worried friends, codes, another emergency surgery, eventual recovery.

3. Criminal Minds- season 9 episode 23 and 24

Character: Spencer Reid

Whump: Shot in the neck, saves a friend, transported to the er, surgery, worried friends, eventual recovery.

4. The West Wing- season season 2 episodes 1 and 2 [a 2-parter] (whump starts technically at season 1 episode 22)

Character: Josh Lyman

Whump: Shot, found by a friend, worried friends, transported to the er, long surgery, eventual recovery.

(P.S. I actually don't really watch any political TV shows, but damn do they do a good Whump scenes! If you continue watching, he will eventually go through some PTSD episodes and get better with the help of friends. So if you into these kinds of shows, I would say it's pretty good)

5. Grey's Anatomy- season 2 episode 26 (whump starts at the end of season episode 25)

Character: Preston Burke

Whump: Shot in the shoulder, worried colleagues, collapsed lung, codes and resuscitated, surgery, woken up during surgery, pain, eventual recovery with some later complications.

(P.S. Okay, I sometimes laugh at this show and how absurd it got, but, hey, I do remember this scene fitting for this post so..............)

There’s a lot of speculation and hopes for Sunrise on the Reaping, but what I want is at least a little sniper of Hamitch being there for Katniss after Prim’s health, or at least some parallels.

From the sniper Susan Collins released, we know Hamitch had a mom, girlfriend, and baby brother. From Catching Fire, we know that they all died/were killed. We know that Hamitch’s alcoholism is due in part to that (and in part to the futility of mentoring tributes from district twelve).

There are a lot of parallels between Mitch and Katniss throughout the whole series, but especially throughout Catching Fire and Mockingjay. I hope now that we have a little bit more of Hamitch’s background we get a little more acknowledgment of just how deeply Hamitch understands her loss (and hope with how he is able to find peace/happiness/closure/contentment even if it seams far away for Katniss at the end of the Revolution).

I saw a buddie edit and there was a compilation of Eddie opening his front door and letting Buck inside and the last time Ke was from8x06 when Eddie is only wherein a shirt and socks like Tom Cruise in that one movie. And that made me think, when Eddie becomes queer confirmed in canon, I need a compilation of Eddie opening his front door to let Buck inside, but each time he has less clothing on and Buck just doesn’t get that he’s obviously flirting/trying to get Buck to say something because he still thinks they’re just bros and he needs Eddie to spell it out for him and be very specific with words and not just actions because he doesn’t want to assume and because he’s a chill guy in general.

okay what if buck gets it? what if he tells eddie something along the lines that living in a home where your own parents have not dealt with grief can have long lasting effects on the children? how living with the ghost of someone so loved but not grieved can harm kids even though you do their best to hide them from it?

the way his parents and maddie hid daniel from him and the effects that he has felt to this day? what if he says something about maybe chris not being there while eddie truly dealt with his grief will be the best thing in the long run? not just for chris, but for eddie as well?

dealing with your grief doesn’t have to be too late

it hurts now, it sucks but eddie has to deal with his grief

I’m rewatching 9-1-1 rn, and in season 5 Buck gets Taylor a bracelet with an emergency GPS beacon in it for Christmas and says no matter what if she presses that button he’ll come to her rescue or something. They never revisit it or really explain how that works, but I want an episode where Buck and Tommy are on a date and Buck gets an alert on his phone that Taylor has pressed the button. He calls her but she doesn’t pick up and they go and reduce her. She was investigating a story or something and got into trouble. I want a fun episode like the treasure hunt one and I think a Buck-Taylor-Tommy trio would work really well, maybe with her camera guy in the shenanigans as well. There would be a little awkwardness at first but then Buck tells her he and Tommy are dating and she makes a joke and then he makes a jome about "be carefull what you say around Taylor, nothing's off the record around her" or something. i think while that was a huge problem in their relationship, it wouldnt be as big a deal in their friendship and i liked their mystery solving.

i was thinking about that post comparing Jessica Rabbit as an asexual to Barbie and an asexual and then i thought of the Neil Gaiman post (was it a post?) about Crowley and Aziraphale being asexual and then this happened.

It doesn’t criticize the matriarchy, it criticizes the assumption that a matriarchy is the same as the patriarchy but with men and women switched. Switching the oppressor does nothing. But assuming that the goal of feminism/civil/equal rights movements is to switch the oppressor and the oppressed is a dangerous notion and a hinderance to progress.

It’s important to recognise that Barbie (2023) criticises both the patriarchy AND the matriarchy. Yes, the Ken’s are just accessories to the Barbies. Yes, they don’t have any say in the government they live under. That’s the point, you’re supposed to feel awful, you’re supposed to want the Kens to have their own agency, you’re supposed to want equality. The Barbie movie explicitly states that the way Barbie treats Ken is wrong, so much so that once he finds a safe space for his masculinity and individual identity he’s so excited to share it with the other Kens.

But they go overboard and replace a matriarchy with a patriarchy and now the same issue exists but in reverse. That’s the POINT!! THATS THE POINT!!! Barbie is not anti-men it’s pro equality PLEASE understand this
